| And it came to pass in Iconium that they entered together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake that a great multitude both of Jews and of Greeks believed. | Ug didto sa Iconio sila nanagkuyog sa pagsulod sa sinagoga sa mga Judio, ug sa ingon misulti sila nga tungod niana nanagpanoo ang usa ka dakung panon sa katawhan, sa mga Judio ug sa mga Gresyanhon. |
| But the Jews that were disobedient stirred up the souls of the Gentiles, and made them evil affected against the brethren. | Apan ang mga Judio nga wala motoo mihulhog sa mga Gentil, ug ilang gisugniban kini sila sa pagkasilag batok sa mga kaigsoonan. |
| Long time therefore they tarried [there] speaking boldly in the Lord, who bare witness unto the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. | Ug busa mipabilin sila didto sa hataas nga panahon, nga sa walay kokahadlok nanagsulti sila alang sa Ginoo, ni kinsa gipanghimatud-an ang mga pulong sa iyang grasya diha sa iyang pagtugot nga ang mga ilhanan ug mga kahibulongan mangahimo pinaagi sa ilang mga kamot. |
| But the multitude of the city was divided; and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles. | Apan ang mga tawo sa siyudad nabahin; ang uban midapig sa mga Judio, ug ang uban midapig sa mga apostoles. |
| And when there was made an onset both of the Gentiles and of the Jews with their rulers, to treat them shamefully and to stone them, | Ug sa diha nay lihok sa mga Gentil ug mga Judio, uban sa ilang mga punoan, sa pagdagmal ug pagbato kanila, |
| they became aware of it, and fled unto the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the region round about: | kini ilang nasayran ug sila mikalagiw ngadto sa Listra ug Derbe, mga siyudad sa Licaonia, ug ngadto sa kayutaan nga kasikbit. |
| and there they preached the gospel. | Ug didto ilang gimantala ang Maayong Balita. |
| And at Lystra there sat a certain man, impotent in his feet, a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked. | Ug sa Listra didtoy naglingkod nga usa ka tawo nga walay umoy sa iyang mga tiil; siya bakul gikan pa sa iyang pagkahimugso nga tungod niana wala gayud siya makalakaw sukad masukad. |
| The same heard Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes upon him, and seeing that he had faith to be made whole, | Siya naminaw kang Pablo nga nagsulti; ug si Pablo, sa nagtutok kaniya ug sa naila niya nga siya may pagtoo aron mamaayo siya, |
| said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped up and walked. | miingon kaniya sa makusog nga tingog, "Itindog ang imong mga tiil ug tumul-id ka." Ug siya miugpo ug milakaw. |
| And when the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. | Ug sa pagkakita sa mga tawo sa gibuhat ni Pablo, sila misinggit nga nanag-ingon sa pinulongan nga Licaoniyanhon, "Ang mga dios nanganaug dinhi kanato sa dagway sa mga tawo!" |
| And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercury, because he was the chief speaker. | Ug si Bernabe ilang ginganlan si Zeus, ug si Pablo ilang ginganlan si Hermes tungod kay siya mao man ang pangulo sa sinultihay. |
| And the priest of Jupiter whose [temple] was before the city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the multitudes. | Ug ang sacerdote ni Zeus, kinsang templo diha sa atbang sa siyudad, nagdalag mga baka nga toro ug mga purongpurong ngadto sa ganghaan, ug siya uban sa mga tawo buot unta modulot ug mga halad ngadto kanila. |
| But when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of it, they rent their garments, and sprang forth among the multitude, crying out | Apan sa pagkadungog niini sa mga apostoles, ni Bernabe ug ni Pablo, gipanggisi nila ang ilang mga bisti ug midalagan sila ngadto sa katawhan, nanagsinggit ug nanag-ingon, |
| and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good tidings, that ye should turn from these vain things unto a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that in them is: | "Mga tawo, nganong nagabuhat kamo niini? Kami usab mga tawo, nga sama ra kaninyog kinaiya. Ug kami nagamantala kaninyo sa Maayong Balita, nga gikan niining maong mga kakawangan kinahanglan managpangliso kamo ngadto sa buhing Dios nga maoy nagbuhat sa langit ug sa yuta ug sa dagat ug sa tanang butang diha kanila. |
| who in the generations gone by suffered all the nations to walk in their own ways. | Sa miaging kapanahonan iyang gipasagdan ang tanang kanasuran sa paglakaw sa ilang kaugalingong mga dalan; |
| And yet He left not himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you from heaven rains and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness. | ngani wala niya itugot nga dili kapanghimatud-an ang iyang kaugalingon, sanglit gibuhat man niya ang maayo, ug gihatagan niya kamog ulan gikan sa langit ug kapanahonan nga makapabunga, ug ang inyong mga kasingkasing nabuhong sa pagkaon ug sa kalipay." |
| And with these sayings scarce restrained they the multitudes from doing sacrifice unto them. | Bisan pa sa maong mga pulong, diriyot wala nila kapugngi ang mga tawo sa pagdulot kanilag mga halad. |
| But there came Jews thither from Antioch and Iconium: and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead. | Apan dihay mga Judio nga nangabut didto gikan sa Antioquia ug sa Iconio; ug sa nadani nila ang mga tawo, si Pablo ilang gipanagbato ug ilang giguyod paingon sa gawas sa siyudad, sa pagdahum nga siya patay na. |
| But as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and entered into the city: and on the morrow he went forth with Barnabas to Derbe. | Apan sa gialirongan siya sa mga tinun-an, siya mibangon ug misulod balik sa siyudad; ug sa pagkasunod nga adlaw siya milakaw uban kang Bernabe padulong sa Derbe. |
| And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch, | Ug sa nakamantala na sila sa Maayong Balita didto sa maong siyudad ug nakadanig daghang mga kinabig, sila namalik ngadto sa Listra ug sa Iconio ug sa Antioquia, |
| confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God. | nga nanagpalig-on sa mga kalag sa mga tinun-an ug nanagmaymay kanila sa pagpadayon sa pagtoo ug nanag-ingon nga kinahanglan managsulod kita sa gingharian sa Dios pinaagi sa daghang mga kasakit. |
| And when they had appointed for them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed. | Ug sa gikatudlo na nila ang mga anciano alang kanila diha sa matag-iglesia, ug sa nakaampo na uban sa pagpuasa, ilang gitugyan sila ngadto sa Ginoo nga ilang gitoohan. |
| And they passed through Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia. | Ug unya milatas sila sa Pisidia ug miabut sa Panfilia. |
| And when they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia; | Ug tapus makamantala sa pulong didto sa Perge, sila milugsong ngadto sa Atalia; |
| and thence they sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been committed to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled. | ug gikan didto manakayan sila balik sa Antioquia, diin didto sila kaniadto ikatugyan sa grasya sa Dios alang sa bulohaton nga karon ila nang natapus. |
| And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith unto the Gentiles. | Ug sa pag-abut nila didto, ilang gitigum ang iglesia ug gisuginlan sa tanang gibuhat sa Dios sa iyang pagpakig-uban kanila, ug giunsa niya sa pag-ablig pultahan sa pagtoo ngadto sa mga Gentil. |
| And they tarried no little time with the disciples. | Ug sila nanagpabilin uban sa mga tinun-an sulod sa hataas nga panahon. |
