Exodus 1:1 Now these are the names of the sons of Israel, who came into Egypt (every man and his household came with Jacob):	Exodo 1:1 Mao kini ang mga ngalan sa mga anak ni Israel, nga mingsulod sa Egipto; uban kang Jacob misulod ang tagsatagsa kanila uban ang ilang panimalay:
Exodus 1:2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,	Exodo 1:2 Si Ruben, si Simeon, si Levi, ug si Juda;
Exodus 1:3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,	Exodo 1:3 Si Issachar, si Zabulon, ug si Benjamin;
Exodus 1:4 Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.	Exodo 1:4 Si Dan, ug si Nephtali, si Gad, ug si Aser,
Exodus 1:5 And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: and Joseph was in Egypt already.	Exodo 1:5 Ug ang tanan nga mga kalag nga nanggula sa balat-ang ni Jacob, kapitoan; ug si Jose didto nang daan sa Egipto.
Exodus 1:6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.	Exodo 1:6 Ug namatay si Jose, ug ang tanan nga mga igsoon niya, ug ngatanan kadtong kaliwatana.
Exodus 1:7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.	Exodo 1:7 Ug ang mga anak sa Israel nagmabungaon, ug mingtubo sa madagayaon gayud, ug misanay, ug milig-on sa hilabihan gayud; ug napuno nila ang yuta.
Exodus 1:8 Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who knew not Joseph.	Exodo 1:8 Unya mitindog ang usa ka bag-ong hari sa Egipto, nga wala makaila kang Jose.
Exodus 1:9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:	Exodo 1:9 Ug siya miingon sa iyang katawohan: Ania karon, ang katawohan sa mga anak sa Israel hilabihan ka daghan ug malig-on pa kay kanato.
Exodus 1:10 come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they also join themselves unto our enemies, and fight against us, and get them up out of the land.	Exodo 1:10 Umari kamo, magmakinaadmanon kita sa pagharung kanila, tingali kong sila magdaghan, ug mahatabo nga moabut ang gubat, kini sila mangipon usab sa atong mga kaaway, ug makig-away batok kanato, ug mopahawa gikan sa yuta.
Exodus 1:11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh store-cities, Pithom and Raamses.	Exodo 1:11 Busa sila gibutangan nila ug mga tinugyanan sa buhat, aron sa paglisud kanila diha sa ilang mga lulan. Ug nagpatindog sila kang Faraon ug mga ciudad nga panudlanan sa mga bahandi nga mao ang Pitom ug Raamses:
Exodus 1:12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.	Exodo 1:12 Apan, sa labi nga ilang gilisud sila, labi pa usab hinoon nga midaghan sila, ug labi pa nga mitubo sila. Ug sila gisamokan sa mga anak sa Israel.
Exodus 1:13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor:	Exodo 1:13 Ug ang mga Egiptohanon nag-ulipon sa mapiut gayud sa mga anak sa Israel:
Exodus 1:14 and they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field, all their service, wherein they made them serve with rigor.	Exodo 1:14 Ug gipait nila ang ilang mga kinabuhi tungod sa mapiut nga pag-alagad, sa pagbuhat ug pinagba nga yuta, ug tisa ug sa tanan nga bulohaton sa uma ug sa tanan nila nga pag-alagad, diin ilang ginapugos sila sa mapiut gayud.
Exodus 1:15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:	Exodo 1:15 Ug misulti ang hari sa Egipto sa mga mananabang babaye sa mga Hebreohanon nga ang usa kanila ginanganlan si Sipra, ug ang usa si Pua.
Exodus 1:16 and he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the birth-stool; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him; but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.	Exodo 1:16 Ug siya miingon: Sa diha nga manabang kamo sa mga Hebreohanon nga babaye, sa inyong makita sila sa ibabaw sa angkanan nga lantay; kong ang anak lalake, patyon ninyo siya; ug kong ang anak babaye, buhion siya.
Exodus 1:17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men-children alive.	Exodo 1:17 Apan ang mga mananabang nangahadlok sa Dios, ug sila wala magbuhat uyon sa gisugo kanila sa hari, kondili ilang giluwas nga buhi ang mga bata nga lalake.
Exodus 1:18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men-children alive?	Exodo 1:18 Ug ang hari sa Egipto nagpatawag sa mga mananabang, ug miingon siya kanila: Ngano nga nagbuhat kamo niini, nga inyong giluwas nga buhi ang mga bata nga lalake?
Exodus 1:19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwife come unto them.	Exodo 1:19 Ug ang mga mananabang mitubag kang Faraon: Kay ang mga babaye nga Hebreohanon dili ingon sa mga babaye nga Egiptohanon; kay mga mapiskay sila, ug manganak sila sa dili pa mahiabut ang mananabang.
Exodus 1:20 And God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.	Exodo 1:20 Ug ang Dios nagbuhat ug maayo sa mga mananabang: ug ang katawohan nagdaghan, ug nagmakusganon sila sa hilabihan gayud.
Exodus 1:21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them households.	Exodo 1:21 Ug nahitabo tungod kay ang mga mananabang nahadlok sa Dios, sila gihimo niya nga mga panimalay.
Exodus 1:22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.	Exodo 1:22 Unya si Faraon nagsugo sa tanan niya nga mga katawohan, nga nagaingon: Itambug ninyo sa suba ang tanan nga bata nga lalake nga matawo, ug ang tanan nga bata nga babaye pagaluwason ninyo nga buhi.
