Job 23	Hiob 23
Job 23:1 Then Job answered and said,	Hiob 23:1 Hiob antwortete und sprach:
Job 23:2 Even to-day is my complaint rebellious: My stroke is heavier than my groaning.	Hiob 23:2 Meine Rede bleibt noch betrübt; meine Macht ist schwach über meinem Seufzen.
Job 23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! That I might come even to his seat!	Hiob 23:3 Ach daß ich wüßte, wie ich ihn finden und zu seinem Stuhl kommen möchte
Job 23:4 I would set my cause in order before him, And fill my mouth with arguments.	Hiob 23:4 und das Recht vor ihm sollte vorlegen und den Mund voll Verantwortung fassen
Job 23:5 I would know the words which he would answer me, And understand what he would say unto me.	Hiob 23:5 und erfahren die Reden, die er mir antworten, und vernehmen, was er mir sagen würde!
Job 23:6 Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? Nay; but he would give heed unto me.	Hiob 23:6 Will er mit großer Macht mit mir rechten? Er stelle sich nicht so gegen mich,
Job 23:7 There the upright might reason with him; So should I be delivered for ever from my judge.	Hiob 23:7 sondern lege mir's gleich vor, so will ich mein Recht wohl gewinnen.
Job 23:8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not [there]; And backward, but I cannot perceive him;	Hiob 23:8 Aber ich gehe nun stracks vor mich, so ist er nicht da; gehe ich zurück, so spüre ich ihn nicht;
Job 23:9 On the left hand, when he doth work, but I cannot behold him; He hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him.	Hiob 23:9 ist er zur Linken, so schaue ich ihn nicht; verbirgt er sich zur Rechten, so sehe ich ihn nicht.
Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take; When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.	Hiob 23:10 Er aber kennt meinen Weg wohl. Er versuche mich, so will ich erfunden werden wie das Gold.
Job 23:11 My foot hath held fast to his steps; His way have I kept, and turned not aside.	Hiob 23:11 Denn ich setze meinen Fuß auf seine Bahn und halte seinen Weg und weiche nicht ab
Job 23:12 I have not gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.	Hiob 23:12 und trete nicht von dem Gebot seiner Lippen und bewahre die Rede seines Mundes mehr denn mein eigen Gesetz.
Job 23:13 But he is in one [mind], and who can turn him? And what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.	Hiob 23:13 Doch er ist einig; wer will ihm wehren? Und er macht's wie er will.
Job 23:14 For he performeth that which is appointed for me: And many such things are with him.	Hiob 23:14 Denn er wird vollführen, was mir bestimmt ist, und hat noch viel dergleichen im Sinne.
Job 23:15 Therefore am I terrified at his presence; When I consider, I am afraid of him.	Hiob 23:15 Darum erschrecke ich vor ihm; und wenn ich's bedenke, so fürchte ich mich vor ihm.
Job 23:16 For God hath made my heart faint, And the Almighty hath terrified me;	Hiob 23:16 Gott hat mein Herz blöde gemacht, und der Allmächtige hat mich erschreckt.
Job 23:17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, Neither did he cover the thick darkness from my face.	Hiob 23:17 Denn die Finsternis macht kein Ende mit mir, und das Dunkel will vor mir nicht verdeckt werden.
