Acts 10:1 Now [there was] a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of the band called the Italian [band],	Atti degli Apostoli 10:1 Or v’era in Cesarea un uomo, chiamato Cornelio, centurione della coorte detta l’ "Italica",
Acts 10:2 a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:2 il quale era pio e temente Iddio con tutta la sua casa, e faceva molte elemosine al popolo e pregava Dio del continuo.
Acts 10:3 He saw in a vision openly, as it were about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in unto him, and saying to him, Cornelius.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:3 Egli vide chiaramente in visione, verso l’ora nona del giorno, un angelo di Dio che entrò da lui e gli disse: Cornelio!
Acts 10:4 And he, fastening his eyes upon him, and being affrighted, said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are gone up for a memorial before God.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:4 Ed egli, guardandolo fisso, e preso da spavento, rispose: Che v’è, Signore? E l’angelo gli disse: Le tue preghiere e le tue elemosine son salite come una ricordanza davanti a Dio.
Acts 10:5 And now send men to Joppa, and fetch one Simon, who is surnamed Peter:	Atti degli Apostoli 10:5 Ed ora, manda degli uomini a Ioppe, e fa’ chiamare un certo Simone, che è soprannominato Pietro.
Acts 10:6 he lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:6 Egli alberga da un certo Simone coiaio, che ha la casa presso al mare.
Acts 10:7 And when the angel that spake unto him was departed, he called two of his household-servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;	Atti degli Apostoli 10:7 E come l’angelo che gli parlava se ne fu partito, Cornelio chiamò due dei suoi domestici, e un soldato pio di quelli che si tenean del continuo presso di lui;
Acts 10:8 and having rehearsed all things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:8 e raccontata loro ogni cosa, li mandò a Ioppe.
Acts 10:9 Now on the morrow, as they were on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour:	Atti degli Apostoli 10:9 Or il giorno seguente, mentre quelli erano in viaggio e si avvicinavano alla città, Pietro salì sul terrazzo della casa, verso l’ora sesta, per pregare.
Acts 10:10 and he became hungry, and desired to eat: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance;	Atti degli Apostoli 10:10 E avvenne ch’ebbe fame e desiderava prender cibo; e come gliene preparavano, fu rapito in estasi;
Acts 10:11 and he beholdeth the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as it were a great sheet, let down by four corners upon the earth:	Atti degli Apostoli 10:11 e vide il cielo aperto, e scenderne una certa cosa, simile a un gran lenzuolo che, tenuto per i quattro capi, veniva calato in terra.
Acts 10:12 wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts and creeping things of the earth and birds of the heaven.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:12 In esso erano dei quadrupedi, dei rettili della terra e degli uccelli del cielo, di ogni specie.
Acts 10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill and eat.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:13 E una voce gli disse: Lèvati, Pietro; ammazza e mangia.
Acts 10:14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common and unclean.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:14 Ma Pietro rispose: In niun modo, Signore, poiché io non ho mai mangiato nulla d’immondo né di contaminato.
Acts 10:15 And a voice [came] unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, make not thou common.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:15 E una voce gli disse di nuovo la seconda volta: Le cose che Dio ha purificate, non le far tu immonde.
Acts 10:16 And this was done thrice: and straightway the vessel was received up into heaven.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:16 E questo avvenne per tre volte; e subito il lenzuolo fu ritirato in cielo.
Acts 10:17 Now while Peter was much perplexed in himself what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold, the men that were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood before the gate,	Atti degli Apostoli 10:17 E come Pietro stava perplesso in se stesso sul significato della visione avuta, ecco gli uomini mandati da Cornelio, i quali, avendo domandato della casa di Simone, si fermarono alla porta.
Acts 10:18 and called and asked whether Simon, who was surnamed Peter, were lodging there.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:18 E avendo chiamato, domandarono se Simone, soprannominato Pietro, albergasse lì.
Acts 10:19 And while Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:19 E come Pietro stava pensando alla visione, lo Spirito gli disse: Ecco tre uomini che ti cercano.
Acts 10:20 But arise, and get thee down, and go with them, nothing doubting: for I have sent them.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:20 Lèvati dunque, scendi, e va’ con loro, senza fartene scrupolo, perché sono io che li ho mandati.
Acts 10:21 And Peter went down to the men, and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?	Atti degli Apostoli 10:21 E Pietro, sceso verso quegli uomini, disse loro: Ecco, io son quello che cercate; qual è la cagione per la quale siete qui?
Acts 10:22 And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one that feareth God, and well reported of by all the nation of the Jews, was warned [of God] by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:22 Ed essi risposero: Cornelio centurione, uomo giusto e temente Iddio, e del quale rende buona testimonianza tutta la nazion de’ Giudei, è stato divinamente avvertito da un santo angelo, di farti chiamare in casa sua e d’ascoltar quel che avrai da dirgli.
Acts 10:23 So he called them in and lodged them. And on the morrow he arose and went forth with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa accompanied him.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:23 Allora, fattili entrare, li albergò. Ed il giorno seguente andò con loro; e alcuni dei fratelli di Ioppe l’accompagnarono.
Acts 10:24 And on the morrow they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his kinsmen and his near friends.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:24 E il giorno di poi entrarono in Cesarea. Or Cornelio li stava aspettando e avea chiamato i suoi parenti e i suoi intimi amici.
Acts 10:25 And when it came to pass that Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:25 E come Pietro entrava, Cornelio, fattoglisi incontro, gli si gittò ai piedi, e l’adorò.
Acts 10:26 But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:26 Ma Pietro lo rialzò, dicendo: Lèvati, anch’io sono uomo!
Acts 10:27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and findeth many come together:	Atti degli Apostoli 10:27 E discorrendo con lui, entrò e trovò molti radunati quivi.
Acts 10:28 and he said unto them, Ye yourselves know how it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to join himself or come unto one of another nation; and [yet] unto me hath God showed that I should not call any man common or unclean:	Atti degli Apostoli 10:28 E disse loro: Voi sapete come non sia lecito ad un Giudeo di aver relazioni con uno straniero o d’entrare da lui; ma Dio mi ha mostrato che non debbo chiamare alcun uomo immondo o contaminato.
Acts 10:29 wherefore also I came without gainsaying, when I was sent for. I ask therefore with what intent ye sent for me.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:29 E’ per questo che, essendo stato chiamato, venni senza far obiezioni. Io vi domando dunque: Per qual cagione m’avete mandato a chiamare?
Acts 10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago, until this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and behold, a man stood before me in bright apparel,	Atti degli Apostoli 10:30 E Cornelio disse: Sono appunto adesso quattro giorni che io stavo pregando, all’ora nona, in casa mia, quand’ecco un uomo mi presentò davanti, in veste risplendente,
Acts 10:31 and saith, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:31 e disse: Cornelio, la tua preghiera è stata esaudita, e le tue elemosine sono state ricordate nel cospetto di Dio.
Acts 10:32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call unto thee Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea side.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:32 Manda dunque a Ioppe a far chiamare Simone, soprannominato Pietro; egli alberga in casa di Simone coiaio, presso al mare.
Acts 10:33 Forthwith therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God, to hear all things that have been commanded thee of the Lord.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:33 Perciò, in quell’istante io mandai da te, e tu hai fatto bene a venire; ora dunque siamo tutti qui presenti davanti a Dio, per udir tutte le cose che ti sono state comandate dal Signore.
Acts 10:34 And Peter opened his mouth and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:	Atti degli Apostoli 10:34 Allora Pietro, prendendo a parlare, disse: In verità io comprendo che Dio non ha riguardo alla qualità delle persone;
Acts 10:35 but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is acceptable to him.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:35 ma che in qualunque nazione, chi lo teme ed opera giustamente gli e accettevole.
Acts 10:36 The word which he sent unto the children of Israel, preaching good tidings of peace by Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all.) --	Atti degli Apostoli 10:36 E questa è la parola ch’Egli ha diretta ai figliuoli d’Israele, annunziando pace per mezzo di Gesù Cristo. Esso è il Signore di tutti.
Acts 10:37 that saying ye yourselves know, which was published throughout all Judaea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;	Atti degli Apostoli 10:37 Voi sapete quello che è avvenuto per tutta la Giudea, cominciando dalla Galilea, dopo il battesimo predicato da Giovanni;
Acts 10:38 [even] Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:38 vale a dire, la storia di Gesù di Nazaret; come Iddio l’ha unto di Spirito Santo e di potenza; e come egli è andato attorno facendo del bene, e guarendo tutti coloro che erano sotto il dominio del diavolo, perché Iddio era con lui.
Acts 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the country of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom also they slew, hanging him on a tree.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:39 E noi siam testimoni di tutte le cose ch’egli ha fatte nel paese de’ Giudei e in Gerusalemme; ed essi l’hanno ucciso, appendendolo ad un legno.
Acts 10:40 Him God raised up the third day, and gave him to be made manifest,	Atti degli Apostoli 10:40 Esso ha Iddio risuscitato il terzo giorno, e ha fatto sì ch’egli si manifestasse
Acts 10:41 not to all the people, but unto witnesses that were chosen before of God, [even] to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:41 non a tutto il popolo, ma ai testimoni ch’erano prima stati scelti da Dio; cioè a noi, che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto con lui dopo la sua risurrezione dai morti.
Acts 10:42 And he charged us to preach unto the people, and to testify that this is he who is ordained of God [to be] the Judge of the living and the dead.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:42 Ed egli ci ha comandato di predicare al popolo e di testimoniare ch’egli è quello che da Dio è stato costituito Giudice dei vivi e dei morti.
Acts 10:43 To him bear all the prophets witness, that through his name every one that believeth on him shall receive remission of sins.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:43 Di lui attestano tutti i profeti che chiunque crede in lui riceve la remission de’ peccati mediante suo nome.
Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them that heard the word.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:44 Mentre Pietro parlava così, lo Spirito Santo cadde su tutti coloro che udivano la Parola.
Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:45 E tutti i credenti circoncisi che erano venuti con Pietro, rimasero stupiti che il dono dello Spirito Santo fosse sparso anche sui Gentili;
Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,	Atti degli Apostoli 10:46 poiché li udivano parlare in altre lingue, e magnificare Iddio.
Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?	Atti degli Apostoli 10:47 Allora Pietro prese a dire: Può alcuno vietar l’acqua perché non siano battezzati questi che hanno ricevuto lo Spirito Santo come noi stessi?
Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.	Atti degli Apostoli 10:48 E comandò che fossero battezzati nel nome di Gesù Cristo. Allora essi lo pregarono di rimanere alcuni giorni con loro.
