John 5	João 5
John 5:1 After these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.	João 5:1 Depois disso havia uma festa dos judeus; e Jesus subiu a Jerusalém.
John 5:2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the sheep [gate] a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five porches.	João 5:2 Ora, em Jerusalém, próximo à porta das ovelhas, há um tanque, chamado em hebraico Betesda, o qual tem cinco alpendres.
John 5:3 In these lay a multitude of them that were sick, blind, halt, withered, [waiting for the moving of the water.]	João 5:3 Nestes jazia grande multidão de enfermos, cegos, mancos e ressicados esperando o movimento da água.
John 5:4 [for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the waters stepped in was made whole, with whatsoever disease he was holden.]	João 5:4 Porquanto um anjo descia em certo tempo ao tanque, e agitava a água; então o primeiro que ali descia, depois do movimento da água, sarava de qualquer enfermidade que tivesse.
John 5:5 And a certain man was there, who had been thirty and eight years in his infirmity.	João 5:5 Achava-se ali um homem que, havia trinta e oito anos, estava enfermo.
John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lying, and knew that he had been now a long time [in that case], he saith unto him, Wouldest thou be made whole?	João 5:6 Jesus, vendo-o deitado e sabendo que estava assim havia muito tempo, perguntou-lhe: Queres ficar são?
John 5:7 The sick man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.	João 5:7 Respondeu-lhe o enfermo: Senhor, não tenho ninguém que, ao ser agitada a água, me ponha no tanque; assim, enquanto eu vou, desce outro antes de mim.
John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Arise, take up thy bed, and walk.	João 5:8 Disse-lhe Jesus: Levanta-te, toma o teu leito e anda.
John 5:9 And straightway the man was made whole, and took up his bed and walked. Now it was the sabbath on that day.	João 5:9 Imediatamente o homem ficou são; e, tomando o seu leito, começou a andar. Ora, aquele dia era sábado.
John 5:10 So the Jews said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath, and it is not lawful for thee to take up thy bed.	João 5:10 Pelo que disseram os judeus ao que fora curado: Hoje é sábado, e não te é lícito carregar o leito.
John 5:11 But he answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.	João 5:11 Ele, porém, lhes respondeu: Aquele que me curou, esse mesmo me disse: Toma o teu leito e anda.
John 5:12 They asked him, Who is the man that said unto thee, Take up [thy bed], and walk?	João 5:12 Perguntaram-lhe, pois: Quem é o homem que te disse: Toma o teu leito e anda?
John 5:13 But he that was healed knew not who it was; for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in the place.	João 5:13 Mas o que fora curado não sabia quem era; porque Jesus se retirara, por haver muita gente naquele lugar.
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing befall thee.	João 5:14 Depois Jesus o encontrou no templo, e disse-lhe: Olha, já estás curado; não peques mais, para que não te suceda coisa pior.
John 5:15 The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him whole.	João 5:15 Retirou-se, então, o homem, e contou aos judeus que era Jesus quem o curara.
John 5:16 And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.	João 5:16 Por isso os judeus perseguiram a Jesus, porque fazia estas coisas no sábado.
John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh even until now, and I work.	João 5:17 Mas Jesus lhes respondeu: Meu Pai trabalha até agora, e eu trabalho também.
John 5:18 For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.	João 5:18 Por isso, pois, os judeus ainda mais procuravam matá-lo, porque não só violava o sábado, mas também dizia que Deus era seu próprio Pai, fazendo-se igual a Deus.
John 5:19 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner.	João 5:19 Disse-lhes, pois, Jesus: Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que o Filho de si mesmo nada pode fazer, senão o que vir o Pai fazer; porque tudo quanto ele faz, o Filho o faz igualmente.
John 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth: and greater works than these will he show him, that ye may marvel.	João 5:20 Porque o Pai ama ao Filho, e mostra-lhe tudo o que ele mesmo faz; e maiores obras do que estas lhe mostrará, para que vos maravilheis.
John 5:21 For as the Father raiseth the dead and giveth them life, even so the Son also giveth life to whom he will.	João 5:21 Pois, assim como o Pai levanta os mortos e lhes dá vida, assim também o Filho dá vida a quem ele quer.
John 5:22 For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgment unto the Son;	João 5:22 Porque o Pai a niguém julga, mas deu ao Filho todo o julgamento,
John 5:23 that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father that sent him.	João 5:23 para que todos honrem o Filho, assim como honram o Pai. Quem não honra o Filho, não honra o Pai que o enviou.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life.	João 5:24 Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que quem ouve a minha palavra, e crê naquele que me enviou, tem a vida eterna e não entra em juízo, mas já passou da morte para a vida.
John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live.	João 5:25 Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que vem a hora, e agora é, em que os mortos ouvirão a voz do Filho de Deus, e os que a ouvirem viverão.
John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself, even so gave he to the Son also to have life in himself:	João 5:26 Pois assim como o Pai tem vida em si mesmo, assim também deu ao Filho ter vida em si mesmos;
John 5:27 and he gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man.	João 5:27 e deu-lhe autoridade para julgar, porque é o Filho do homem.
John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice,	João 5:28 Não vos admireis disso, porque vem a hora em que todos os que estão nos sepulcros ouvirão a sua voz e sairão:
John 5:29 and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.	João 5:29 os que tiverem feito o bem, para a ressurreição da vida, e os que tiverem praticado o mal, para a ressurreição do juízo.
John 5:30 I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.	João 5:30 Eu não posso de mim mesmo fazer coisa alguma; como ouço, assim julgo; e o meu juízo é justo, porque não procuro a minha vontade, mas a vontade daquele que me enviou.
John 5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.	João 5:31 Se eu der testemunho de mim mesmo, o meu testemunho não é verdadeiro.
John 5:32 It is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.	João 5:32 Outro é quem dá testemunho de mim; e sei que o testemunho que ele dá de mim é verdadeiro.
John 5:33 Ye have sent unto John, and he hath borne witness unto the truth.	João 5:33 Vós mandastes mensageiros a João, e ele deu testemunho da verdade;
John 5:34 But the witness which I receive is not from man: howbeit I say these things, that ye may be saved.	João 5:34 eu, porém, não recebo testemunho de homem; mas digo isto para que sejais salvos.
John 5:35 He was the lamp that burneth and shineth; and ye were willing to rejoice for a season in his light.	João 5:35 Ele era a lâmpada que ardia e alumiava; e vós quisestes alegrar-vos por um pouco de tempo com a sua luz.
John 5:36 But the witness which I have is greater than [that of] John; for the works which the Father hath given me to accomplish, the very works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.	João 5:36 Mas o testemunho que eu tenho é maior do que o de João; porque as obras que o Pai me deu para realizar, as mesmas obras que faço dão testemunho de mim que o Pai me enviou.
John 5:37 And the Father that sent me, he hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.	João 5:37 E o Pai que me enviou, ele mesmo tem dado testemunho de mim. Vós nunca ouvistes a sua voz, nem vistes a sua forma;
John 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he sent, him ye believe not.	João 5:38 e a sua palavra não permanece em vós; porque não credes naquele que ele enviou.
John 5:39 Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me;	João 5:39 Examinais as Escrituras, porque julgais ter nelas a vida eterna; e são elas que dão testemunho de mim;
John 5:40 and ye will not come to me, that ye may have life.	João 5:40 mas não quereis vir a mim para terdes vida!
John 5:41 I receive not glory from men.	João 5:41 Eu não recebo glória da parte dos homens;
John 5:42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves.	João 5:42 mas bem vos conheço, que não tendes em vós o amor de Deus.
John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.	João 5:43 Eu vim em nome de meu Pai, e não me recebeis; se outro vier em seu próprio nome, a esse recebereis.
John 5:44 How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that [cometh] from the only God ye seek not?	João 5:44 Como podeis crer, vós que recebeis glória uns dos outros e não buscais a glória que vem do único Deus?
John 5:45 Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, [even] Moses, on whom ye have set your hope.	João 5:45 Não penseis que eu vos hei de acusar perante o Pai. Há um que vos acusa, Moisés, em quem vós esperais.
John 5:46 For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me; for he wrote of me.	João 5:46 Pois se crêsseis em Moisés, creríeis em mim; porque de mim ele escreveu.
John 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?	João 5:47 Mas, se não credes nos escritos, como crereis nas minhas palavras?
