Josue 9	Joshua 9
Josue 9:1 Ug nahitabo sa pagkadungog niini sa tanang mga hari nga diha sa unahan sa Jordan, sa kabungtoran ug sa kapatagan; ug sa tanang kabaybayonan sa Dakung Dagat atbang sa Libano, ang Hetehanon, ang Amorehanon, ang Canaanhon, ang Peresehanon, ug ang Hebehanon, ang Jebusehanon, nakadungog mahitungod niini;	Joshua 9:1 And it came to pass, when all the kings that were beyond the Jordan, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;
Josue 9:2 Nga sila nanaghiusa sa pagtigum aron sa pagpakig-away batok kang Josue ug sa mga Israelihanon,	Joshua 9:2 that they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.
Josue 9:3 Apan sa diha nga ang mga pumoluyo sa Gabaon nakadungog sa gibuhat ni Josue sa Jerico ug sa Ai,	Joshua 9:3 But when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,
Josue 9:4 Gihimo usab nila ang buhat nga malimbongon gayud; ug sila ming-adto ug nagpakatinugyanan, ug nagbutang sa mga daang sako sa ibabaw sa ilang mga asno, ug mga daang panit nga sudlanan sa vino, dunot ug gisi,	Joshua 9:4 they also did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine-skins, old and rent and bound up,
Josue 9:5 Ug ang mga daan ug tinapakan nga mga sapin nga ilang gisul-ob sa ilang mga tiil, ug mga bisting dunot ang ilang gisapot; ug ang tanang tinapay sa ilang balon mga magahi ug giagop-op na.	Joshua 9:5 and old and patched shoes upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and was become mouldy.
Josue 9:6 Ug nangadto sila kang Josue ngadto sa campo sa Gilgal, ug miingon kaniya, ug sa mga Israelihanon: Kami nanganhi gikan sa halayo nga dapit; busa karon, maghimo kamo ug usa ka pakigsaad uban kanimo.	Joshua 9:6 And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We are come from a far country: now therefore make ye a covenant with us.
Josue 9:7 Ug ang mga tawo sa Israel miingon sa mga Hebehanon: Kong pananglitan kamo mopuyo ipon kanamo; ug unsaon namo sa paghimo ug usa ka pakigsaad uban kaninyo?	Joshua 9:7 And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a covenant with you?
Josue 9:8 Ug nanag-ingon sila kang Josue: Kami ang inyong mga ulipon: Ug si Josue miingon kanila: Kinsa ba kamo? ug diin ba kamo gikan?	Joshua 9:8 And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?
Josue 9:9 Ug sila miingon kaniya: Gikan sa halayo kaayong yuta ang imong mga sulogoon nanganhi tungod sa ngalan ni Jehova nga imong Dios: kay nabati namo ang iyang kabantug, ug ang iyang gihimo sa Egipto,	Joshua 9:9 And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of Jehovah thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,
Josue 9:10 Ug ang tanan nga iyang gibuhat sa duruha ka hari sa mga Amorehanon, nga didto sa luyo sa Jordan, kang Sihon nga hari sa Hesbon, ug kang Og nga hari sa Basan, nga didto sa Astaroth.	Joshua 9:10 and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, who was at Ashtaroth.
Josue 9:11 Ug ang among mga anciano ug ang tanang pumoluyo sa among yuta namulong kanamo, nga nagaingon: Managbalon kamo sa inyong panaw ug hibalagon ninyo sila ug ingnon sila: Kami ang inyong sulogoon: ug karon maghimo kamo uban kanamo ug usa ka pakigsaad.	Joshua 9:11 And our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take provision in your hand for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: and now make ye a covenant with us.
Josue 9:12 Kining among tinapay mainit pa nga among gidala nga balon sa adlaw nga kami nanggula sa among balay sa pag-anhi kaninyo: apan karon, tan-awa, mala na ug giagop-op na:	Joshua 9:12 This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and is become mouldy:
Josue 9:13 Ug kining mga panit sa vino nga among gipuno, mga bag-o; ug, ania karon, mga gisi na, ug kining among bisti ug mga sapin nangahimong daan tungod sa hataas nga panaw.	Joshua 9:13 and these wine-skins, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they are rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
Josue 9:14 Ug ang mga tawo mingkuha sa ilang balon, ug wala mangayo ug tambag gikan sa baba ni Jehova.	Joshua 9:14 And the men took of their provision, and asked not counsel at the mouth of Jehovah.
Josue 9:15 Ug si Josue nakigdait kanila, ug naghimo ug pakigsaad uban kanila, aron pasagdan sila nga buhi sila: ug ang mga principe sa katilingban nanumpa uban kanila.	Joshua 9:15 And Joshua made peace with them, and made a covenant with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.
Josue 9:16 Ug nahitabo, sa tapus ang totolo ka adlaw sa human sila makabuhat sa pakigsaad uban kanila, nga ilang nadungog nga kini ila rang silingan, ug nga sila nagapuyo ipon kanila.	Joshua 9:16 And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a covenant with them, that they heard that they were their neighbors, and that they dwelt among them.
Josue 9:17 Ug ang mga anak sa Israel mingpanaw, ug nangadto sa ilang mga ciudad sa ikatolo ka adlaw. Karon ang ilang mga ciudad mao ang Gabaon ug ang Caphira, ug ang Beeroth, ug ang Chiriath-jearim.	Joshua 9:17 And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kiriath-jearim.
Josue 9:18 Ug ang mga anak sa Israel wala magpatay kanila, kay ang mga principe sa ilang katilingban nakapanumpa na uban kanila, sa ngalan ni Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel. Ug ang tibook katilingban nanagbagulbol batok sa mga principe.	Joshua 9:18 And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by Jehovah, the God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.
Josue 9:19 Apan ang tanang mga principe miingon sa tibook katilingban: Nakapanumpa na kita kanila sa ngalan ni Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel: busa dili na lamang nato sila hilabtan.	Joshua 9:19 But all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by Jehovah, the God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.
Josue 9:20 Kini mao ang among buhaton kanila, ug atong pasagdan sila nga buhi: kay tingali unya ang kasuko mahulog kanato, tungod sa panumpa nga atong gipanumpa kanila.	Joshua 9:20 This we will do to them, and let them live; lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.
Josue 9:21 Ug ang mga principe miingon kanila; Atong pasagdan sila nga buhi: busa nahimo silang mangangahoy ug mga makakalus sa tubig sa tibook nga katilingban, sumala sa gipamulong sa mga principe kanila.	Joshua 9:21 And the princes said unto them, Let them live: so they became hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation, as the princes had spoken unto them.
Josue 9:22 Ug si Josue nagpatawag kanila ug namulong kanila, nga nagaingon: Ngano nga naglimbong kamo kanamo, sa pag-ingon: Kami halayo kaayo kaninyo: Nga kamo nagpuyo man sa taliwala namo?	Joshua 9:22 And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
Josue 9:23 Busa karon mga tinunglo na kamo, ug walay bisan kinsa kaninyo nga dili mahimong ulipon, mga mangangahoy ug mga magkakalus sa tubig sa balay sa akong Dios.	Joshua 9:23 Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall never fail to be of you bondmen, both hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.
Josue 9:24 Ug sila mingtubag kang Josue, ug miingon: Kay sa pagkatinuod gisugilon man sa imong mga sulogoon, nga si Jehova, nga imong Dios, nagsugo kang Moises nga iyang alagad, sa paghatag kaninyo niining tibook yuta, ug sa paglaglag sa tanang pumoloyo sa yuta gikan sa inyong atubangan; busa nangahadlok kami kaayo tungod sa among kinabuhi tungod kaninyo, ug mao nga naghimo kami niining butanga.	Joshua 9:24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that Jehovah thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you; therefore we were sore afraid for our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
Josue 9:25 Ug karon, tan-awa, ania na kami sa inyong mga kamot: sumala sa inyong gihunahuna nga maayo ug matarung nga imong pagabuhaton kanamo, buhata.	Joshua 9:25 And now, behold, we are in thy hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.
Josue 9:26 Ug mao nga iyang gihimo kanila ang ingon niini; ug iyang giluwas sila gikan sa kamot sa mga anak sa Israel, nga sila dili patyon nila.	Joshua 9:26 And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.
Josue 9:27 Ug niadtong adlawa, sila gihimo ni Josue nga mga mangangahoy ug mga magkakalus sa tubig alang sa katilingban, ug alang sa halaran ni Jehova, sa dapit nga iyang hipilian, hangtud niining adlawa.	Joshua 9:27 And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of Jehovah, unto this day, in the place which he should choose.
