Mateo 1:1 Ang basahon sa kagikanan ni Jesu-Cristo, nga anak ni David, nga anak ni Abraham.	Matthew 1:1 The book of the generations of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Mateo 1:2 Si Abraham mao ang amahan ni Isaac, ug si Isaac ang amahan ni Jacob, ug si Jacob ang amahan nila ni Juda ug sa iyang mga igsoong lalaki,	Matthew 1:2 The son of Abraham was Isaac; and the son of Isaac was Jacob; and the sons of Jacob were Judah and his brothers;

Mateo 1:5 ug si Salmon ang amahan ni Boez nga gianak ni Racab, ug si Boez ang amahan ni Obed nga gianak ni Rut, ug si Obed ang amahan ni Jese,	Matthew 1:5 And the son of Salmon by Rahab was Boaz; and the son of Boaz by Ruth was Obed; and the son of Obed was Jesse;
Mateo 1:6 ug si Jese ang amahan ni David nga hari.	Matthew 1:6 And the son of Jesse was David the king; and the son of David was Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah;
Mateo 1:7 ug si Salomon ang amahan ni Roboam, ug si Roboam ang amahan ni Abias, ug si Abias ang amahan ni Asa,	Matthew 1:7 And the son of Solomon was Rehoboam; and the son of Rehoboam was Abijah; and the son of Abijah was Asa;
Mateo 1:8 ug si Asa ang amahan ni Josafat, ug si Josafat ang amahan ni Joram, ug si Joram ang amahan ni Ozias,	Matthew 1:8 And the son of Asa was Jehoshaphat; and the son of Jehoshaphat was Joram; and the son of Joram was Uzziah;
Mateo 1:9 ug si Ozias ang amahan ni Joatam, ug si Joatam ang amahan ni Acaz, ug si Acaz ang amahan ni Ezequias,	Matthew 1:9 And the son of Uzziah was Jotham; and the son of Jotham was Ahaz; and the son of Ahaz was Hezekiah;
Mateo 1:10 ug si Ezequias ang amahan ni Manases, ug si Manases ang amahan ni Amos, ug si Amos ang amahan ni Josias,	Matthew 1:10 And the son of Hezekiah was Manasseh; and the son of Manasseh was Amon; and the son of Amon was Josiah;
Mateo 1:11 ug si Josias ang amahan nila ni Jeconias ug sa iyang mga igsoong lalaki, sa panahon sa paglalin kanila ngadto sa Babilonia	Matthew 1:11 And the sons of Josiah were Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the taking away to Babylon.

Mateo 1:13 ug si Zorobabel ang amahan ni Abiud, ug si Abiud ang amahan ni Eliaquim, ug si Eliaquim ang amahan ni Azor,	Matthew 1:13 And Zerubbabel had Abiud; and Abiud had Eliakim; and Eliakim had Azor;
Mateo 1:14 ug si Azor ang amahan ni Sadoc, ug si Sadoc ang amahan ni Aquim, ug si Aquim ang amahan ni Eliud,	Matthew 1:14 And Azor had Zadok; and Zadok had Achim; and Achim had Eliud;
Mateo 1:15 ug si Eliud ang amahan ni Eleazar, ug si Eleazar ang amahan ni Matan, ug si Matan ang amahan ni Jacob,	Matthew 1:15 And Eliud had Eleazar; and Eleazar had Matthan; and Matthan had Jacob;
Mateo 1:16 ug si Jacob ang amahan ni Jose, nga bana ni Maria nga mao ang nanganak kang Jesus nga ginatawag ug Cristo.	Matthew 1:16 And the son of Jacob was Joseph the husband of Mary, who gave birth to Jesus, whose name is Christ.
Mateo 1:17 Busa ang tanang kaliwatan sukad kang Abraham hangtud kang David, napulog-upat ka kaliwatan; ug sukad kang David hangtud sa paglalin kanila ngadto sa Babilonia, napulog-upat ka kaliwatan; ug sukad sa paglalin kanila ngadto sa Babilonia hangtud kang Cristo, napulog-upat ka kaliwatan.	Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the taking away to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the taking away to Babylon to the coming of Christ, fourteen generations.
Mateo 1:18 Ug ang pag-anak kang Jesu-Cristo nahitabo sa ingon niini nga kaagi: Sa diha nga ang iyang inahan nga si Maria kaslonon pa kang Jose, sa wala pa sila mag-usa, siya hingkaplagan nga nagsamkon pinaagi sa Espiritu Santo;	Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: when his mother Mary was going to be married to Joseph, before they came together the discovery was made that she was with child by the Holy Spirit.
Mateo 1:19 ug si Jose nga iyang bana, sanglit tawo man siyang matarung ug dili buot magpakaulaw kaniya, nakahunahuna sa pagpakigbulag kaniya sa hilum.	Matthew 1:19 And Joseph, her husband, being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public example, had a mind to put her away privately.
Mateo 1:20 Apan sa nagpalandong siya sa pagbuhat niini, tan-awa, usa ka manolunda sa Ginoo mitungha kaniya pinaagi sa damgo ug miingon, "Jose, anak ni David, ayaw pagpanuko sa pagpangasawa kang Maria, kay kanang iyang gisamkon gikan sa Espiritu Santo.	Matthew 1:20 But when he was giving thought to these things, an angel of the Lord came to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, have no fear of taking Mary as your wife; because that which is in her body is of the Holy Spirit.
Mateo 1:21 Ug igaanak niya ang usa ka bata nga lalaki, ug siya imong paganganlan si Jesus, kay siya mao man ang magaluwas sa iyang katawhan gikan sa ilang mga sala."	Matthew 1:21 And she will give birth to a son; and you will give him the name Jesus; for he will give his people salvation from their sins.
Mateo 1:22 Kining tanan nahitabo tuman sa gisulti sa Ginoo pinaagi sa profeta, nga nag-ingon:	Matthew 1:22 Now all this took place so that the word of the Lord by the prophet might come true,
Mateo 1:23 "Tan-awa, usa ka birhin magasamkon ug magaanak sa usa ka bata nga lalaki, ug ang iyang ngalan pagatawgon Emanuel" (nga ang kahulogan mao kini: Ang Dios uban kanato).	Matthew 1:23 See, the virgin will be with child, and will give birth to a son, and they will give him the name Immanuel, that is, God with us.

Mateo 1:25 apan wala siya makigduol kaniya hangtud gikaanak niya ang usa ka bata nga lalaki, nga iyang ginganlan si Jesus.	Matthew 1:25 And he had no connection with her till she had given birth to a son; and he gave him the name Jesus.
