Lukas 1:1 Sintemal sich's viele unterwunden haben, Bericht zu geben von den Geschichten, so unter uns ergangen sind,	Luke 1:1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to draw up a narrative concerning those matters which have been fulfilled among us,
Lukas 1:2 wie uns das gegeben haben, die es von Anfang selbst gesehen und Diener des Worts gewesen sind:	Luke 1:2 even as they delivered them unto us, who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word,
Lukas 1:3 habe ich's auch für gut angesehen, nachdem ich's alles von Anbeginn mit Fleiß erkundet habe, daß ich's dir, mein guter Theophilus, in Ordnung schriebe,	Luke 1:3 it seemed good to me also, having traced the course of all things accurately from the first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus;
Lukas 1:4 auf das du gewissen Grund erfahrest der Lehre, in welcher du unterrichtet bist.	Luke 1:4 that thou mightest know the certainty concerning the things wherein thou wast instructed.
Lukas 1:5 Zu der Zeit des Herodes, des Königs von Judäa, war ein Priester von der Ordnung Abia, mit Namen Zacharias, und sein Weib war von den Töchtern Aarons, welche hieß Elisabeth.	Luke 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abijah: and he had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
Lukas 1:6 Sie waren aber alle beide fromm vor Gott und wandelten in allen Geboten und Satzungen des HERRN untadelig.	Luke 1:6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
Lukas 1:7 Und sie hatten kein Kind; denn Elisabeth war unfruchtbar, und waren beide wohl betagt.	Luke 1:7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were [now] well stricken in years.
Lukas 1:8 Und es begab sich, da er des Priesteramtes pflegte vor Gott zur Zeit seiner Ordnung,	Luke 1:8 Now it came to pass, while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,
Lukas 1:9 nach Gewohnheit des Priestertums, und an ihm war, daß er räuchern sollte, ging er in den Tempel des HERRN.	Luke 1:9 according to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to enter into the temple of the Lord and burn incense.
Lukas 1:10 Und die ganze Menge des Volks war draußen und betete unter der Stunde des Räucherns.	Luke 1:10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the hour of incense.
Lukas 1:11 Es erschien ihm aber der Engel des HERRN und stand zur rechten Hand am Räucheraltar.	Luke 1:11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of altar of incense.
Lukas 1:12 Und als Zacharias ihn sah, erschrak er, und es kam ihn eine Furcht an.	Luke 1:12 And Zacharias was troubled when he saw [him], and fear fell upon him.
Lukas 1:13 Aber der Engel sprach zu ihm: Fürchte dich nicht, Zacharias! denn dein Gebet ist erhört, und dein Weib Elisabeth wird dir einen Sohn gebären, des Namen sollst du Johannes heißen.	Luke 1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: because thy supplication is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
Lukas 1:14 Und du wirst des Freude und Wonne haben, und viele werden sich seiner Geburt freuen.	Luke 1:14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
Lukas 1:15 Denn er wird groß sein vor dem HERRN; Wein und starkes Getränk wird er nicht trinken und wird noch im Mutterleibe erfüllt werden mit dem heiligen Geist.	Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.
Lukas 1:16 Und er wird der Kinder Israel viele zu Gott, ihrem HERRN, bekehren.	Luke 1:16 And many of the children of Israel shall be turn unto the Lord their God.
Lukas 1:17 Und er wird vor ihm her gehen im Geist und Kraft des Elia, zu bekehren die Herzen der Väter zu den Kindern und die Ungläubigen zu der Klugheit der Gerechten, zuzurichten dem HERRN ein bereitet Volk.	Luke 1:17 And he shall go before his face in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient [to walk] in the wisdom of the just; to make ready for the Lord a people prepared [for him].
Lukas 1:18 Und Zacharias sprach zu dem Engel: Wobei soll ich das erkennen? Denn ich bin alt und mein Weib ist betagt.	Luke 1:18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
Lukas 1:19 Der Engel antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Ich bin Gabriel, der vor Gott steht, und bin gesandt, mit dir zu reden, daß ich dir solches verkündigte.	Luke 1:19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak unto thee, and to bring thee these good tidings.
Lukas 1:20 Und siehe, du wirst verstummen und nicht reden können bis auf den Tag, da dies geschehen wird, darum daß du meinen Worten nicht geglaubt hast, welche sollen erfüllt werden zu ihrer Zeit.	Luke 1:20 And behold, thou shalt be silent and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall come to pass, because thou believedst not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
Lukas 1:21 Und das Volk wartete auf Zacharias und verwunderte sich, daß er so lange im Tempel verzog.	Luke 1:21 And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and they marvelled while he tarried in the temple.
Lukas 1:22 Und da er herausging, konnte er nicht mit ihnen reden; und sie merkten, daß er ein Gesicht gesehen hatte im Tempel. Und er winkte ihnen und blieb stumm.	Luke 1:22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: and he continued making signs unto them, and remained dumb.
Lukas 1:23 Und es begab sich, da die Zeit seines Amts aus war, ging er heim in sein Haus.	Luke 1:23 And it came to pass, when the days of his ministration were fulfilled, he departed unto his house.
Lukas 1:24 Und nach den Tagen ward sein Weib Elisabeth schwanger und verbarg sich fünf Monate und sprach:	Luke 1:24 And after these days Elisabeth his wife conceived; and she hid herself five months, saying,
Lukas 1:25 Also hat mir der HERR getan in den Tagen, da er mich angesehen hat, daß er meine Schmach unter den Menschen von mir nähme.	Luke 1:25 Thus hath the Lord done unto me in the days wherein he looked upon [me], to take away my reproach among men.
Lukas 1:26 Und im sechsten Monat ward der Engel Gabriel gesandt von Gott in eine Stadt in Galiläa, die heißt Nazareth,	Luke 1:26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Lukas 1:27 zu einer Jungfrau, die vertraut war einem Manne mit Namen Joseph, vom Hause David: und die Jungfrau hieß Maria.	Luke 1:27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
Lukas 1:28 Und der Engel kam zu ihr hinein und sprach: Gegrüßet seist du, Holdselige! Der HERR ist mit dir, du Gebenedeite unter den Weibern!	Luke 1:28 And he came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord [is] with thee.
Lukas 1:29 Da sie aber ihn sah, erschrak sie über seine Rede und gedachte: Welch ein Gruß ist das?	Luke 1:29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this might be.
Lukas 1:30 Und der Engel sprach zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht, Maria! du hast Gnade bei Gott gefunden.	Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.
Lukas 1:31 Siehe, du wirst schwanger werden und einen Sohn gebären, des Namen sollst du Jesus heißen.	Luke 1:31 And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
Lukas 1:32 Der wird groß sein und ein Sohn des Höchsten genannt werden; und Gott der HERR wird ihm den Stuhl seines Vaters David geben;	Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Lukas 1:33 und er wird ein König sein über das Haus Jakob ewiglich, und seines Königreiches wird kein Ende sein.	Luke 1:33 and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Lukas 1:34 Da sprach Maria zu dem Engel: Wie soll das zugehen, da ich von keinem Manne weiß?	Luke 1:34 And Mary said unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
Lukas 1:35 Der Engel antwortete und sprach zu ihr: Der heilige Geist wird über dich kommen, und die Kraft des Höchsten wird dich überschatten; darum wird auch das Heilige, das von dir geboren wird, Gottes Sohn genannt werden.	Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee: wherefore also the holy thing which is begotten shall be called the Son of God.
Lukas 1:36 Und siehe, Elisabeth, deine Gefreunde, ist auch schwanger mit einem Sohn in ihrem Alter und geht jetzt im sechsten Monat, von der man sagt, daß sie unfruchtbar sei.	Luke 1:36 And behold, Elisabeth thy kinswoman, she also hath conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her that was called barren.
Lukas 1:37 Denn bei Gott ist kein Ding unmöglich.	Luke 1:37 For no word from God shall be void of power.
Lukas 1:38 Maria aber sprach: Siehe ich bin des HERRN Magd; mir geschehe, wie du gesagt hast. Und der Engel schied von ihr.	Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold, the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
Lukas 1:39 Maria aber stand auf in den Tagen und ging auf das Gebirge eilends zu der Stadt Juda's	Luke 1:39 And Mary arose in these days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah;
Lukas 1:40 und kam in das Haus des Zacharias und grüßte Elisabeth.	Luke 1:40 and entered into the house of Zacharias and saluted Elisabeth.
Lukas 1:41 Und es begab sich, als Elisabeth den Gruß Marias hörte, hüpfte das Kind in ihrem Leibe. Und Elisabeth ward des heiligen Geistes voll	Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit;
Lukas 1:42 und rief laut und sprach: Gebenedeit bist du unter den Weibern, und gebenedeit ist die Frucht deines Leibes!	Luke 1:42 and she lifted up her voice with a loud cry, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb.
Lukas 1:43 Und woher kommt mir das, daß die Mutter meines HERRN zu mir kommt?	Luke 1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come unto me?
Lukas 1:44 Siehe, da ich die Stimme deines Grußes hörte, hüpfte mit Freuden das Kind in meinem Leibe.	Luke 1:44 For behold, when the voice of thy salutation came into mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
Lukas 1:45 Und o selig bist du, die du geglaubt hast! denn es wird vollendet werden, was dir gesagt ist von dem HERRN.	Luke 1:45 And blessed [is] she that believed; for there shall be a fulfilment of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord.
Lukas 1:46 Und Maria sprach: Meine Seele erhebt den HERRN,	Luke 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
Lukas 1:47 und mein Geist freuet sich Gottes, meines Heilands;	Luke 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
Lukas 1:48 denn er hat die Niedrigkeit seiner Magd angesehen. Siehe, von nun an werden mich selig preisen alle Kindeskinder;	Luke 1:48 For he hath looked upon the low estate of his handmaid: For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
Lukas 1:49 denn er hat große Dinge an mir getan, der da mächtig ist und des Name heilig ist.	Luke 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; And holy is his name.
Lukas 1:50 Und seine Barmherzigkeit währet immer für und für bei denen, die ihn fürchten.	Luke 1:50 And his mercy is unto generations and generations On them that fear him.
Lukas 1:51 Er übet Gewalt mit seinem Arm und zerstreut, die hoffärtig sind in ihres Herzens Sinn.	Luke 1:51 He hath showed strength with his arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their heart.
Lukas 1:52 Er stößt die Gewaltigen vom Stuhl und erhebt die Niedrigen.	Luke 1:52 He hath put down princes from [their] thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree.
Lukas 1:53 Die Hungrigen füllt er mit Gütern und läßt die Reichen leer.	Luke 1:53 The hungry he hath filled with good things; And the rich he hath sent empty away.
Lukas 1:54 Er denkt der Barmherzigkeit und hilft seinem Diener Israel wieder auf,	Luke 1:54 He hath given help to Israel his servant, That he might remember mercy
Lukas 1:55 wie er geredet hat unsern Vätern, Abraham und seinem Samen ewiglich.	Luke 1:55 (As he spake unto our fathers) Toward Abraham and his seed for ever.
Lukas 1:56 Und Maria blieb bei ihr bei drei Monaten; darnach kehrte sie wiederum heim.	Luke 1:56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned unto her house.
Lukas 1:57 Und Elisabeth kam ihre Zeit, daß sie gebären sollte; und sie gebar einen Sohn.	Luke 1:57 Now Elisabeth's time was fulfilled that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
Lukas 1:58 Und ihre Nachbarn und Gefreunde hörten, daß der HERR große Barmherzigkeit an ihr getan hatte, und freuten sich mit ihr.	Luke 1:58 And her neighbors and her kinsfolk heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her; and they rejoiced with her.
Lukas 1:59 Und es begab sich am achten Tage, da kamen sie, zu beschneiden das Kindlein, und hießen ihn nach seinem Vater Zacharias.	Luke 1:59 And it came to pass on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him Zacharias, after the name of the father.
Lukas 1:60 Aber seine Mutter antwortete und sprach: Mitnichten, sondern er soll Johannes heißen.	Luke 1:60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.
Lukas 1:61 Und sie sprachen zu ihr: Ist doch niemand in deiner Freundschaft, der also heiße.	Luke 1:61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.
Lukas 1:62 Und sie winkten seinem Vater, wie er ihn wollte heißen lassen.	Luke 1:62 And they made signs to his father, what he would have him called.
Lukas 1:63 Und er forderte ein Täfelein und schrieb also: Er heißt Johannes. Und sie verwunderten sich alle.	Luke 1:63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.
Lukas 1:64 Und alsbald ward sein Mund und seine Zunge aufgetan, und er redete und lobte Gott.	Luke 1:64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue [loosed], and he spake, blessing God.
Lukas 1:65 Und es kam eine Furcht über alle Nachbarn; und die ganze Geschichte ward ruchbar auf dem ganzen jüdischen Gebirge.	Luke 1:65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
Lukas 1:66 Und alle, die es hörten, nahmen's zu Herzen und sprachen: Was, meinst du, will aus dem Kindlein werden? Denn die Hand des HERRN war mit ihm.	Luke 1:66 And all that heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, What then shall this child be? For the hand of the Lord was with him.
Lukas 1:67 Und sein Vater Zacharias ward des heiligen Geistes voll, weissagte und sprach:	Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
Lukas 1:68 Gelobet sei der HERR, der Gott Israels! denn er hat besucht und erlöst sein Volk	Luke 1:68 Blessed [be] the Lord, the God of Israel; For he hath visited and wrought redemption for his people,
Lukas 1:69 und hat uns aufgerichtet ein Horn des Heils in dem Hause seines Dieners David,	Luke 1:69 And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of his servant David
Lukas 1:70 wie er vorzeiten geredet hat durch den Mund des Propheten:	Luke 1:70 (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old),
Lukas 1:71 daß er uns errettete von unseren Feinden und von der Hand aller, die uns hassen,	Luke 1:71 Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
Lukas 1:72 und Barmherzigkeit erzeigte unsern Vätern und gedächte an seinen heiligen Bund	Luke 1:72 To show mercy towards, our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;
Lukas 1:73 und an den Eid, den er geschworen hat unserm Vater Abraham, uns zu geben,	Luke 1:73 The oath which he spake unto Abraham our father,
Lukas 1:74 daß wir, erlöst aus der Hand unserer Feinde, ihm dienten ohne Furcht unser Leben lang	Luke 1:74 To grant unto us that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies Should serve him without fear,
Lukas 1:75 in Heiligkeit und Gerechtigkeit, die ihm gefällig ist.	Luke 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
Lukas 1:76 Und du, Kindlein, wirst ein Prophet des Höchsten heißen. Du wirst vor dem HERRN her gehen, daß du seinen Weg bereitest	Luke 1:76 Yea and thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Most High: For thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to make ready his ways;
Lukas 1:77 und Erkenntnis des Heils gebest seinem Volk, das da ist in Vergebung ihrer Sünden;	Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people In the remission of their sins,
Lukas 1:78 durch die herzliche Barmherzigkeit unsers Gottes, durch welche uns besucht hat der Aufgang aus der Höhe,	Luke 1:78 Because of the tender mercy of our God, Whereby the dayspring from on high shall visit us,
Lukas 1:79 auf daß er erscheine denen, die da sitzen in Finsternis und Schatten des Todes, und richte unsere Füße auf den Weg des Friedens.	Luke 1:79 To shine upon them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death; To guide our feet into the way of peace.
Lukas 1:80 Und das Kindlein wuchs und ward stark im Geist; und er war in der Wüste, bis daß er sollte hervortreten vor das Volk Israel.	Luke 1:80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.
