| (Ein Psalmlied Davids, vorzusingen.) Es stehe Gott auf, daß seine Feinde zerstreut werden, und die ihn hassen, vor ihm fliehen. | For the Chief Musician; A Psalm of David, a song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; Let them also that hate him flee before him. |
| Vertreibe sie, wie der Rauch vertrieben wird; wie das Wachs zerschmilzt vom Feuer, so müssen umkommen die Gottlosen vor Gott. | As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God. |
| Die Gerechten aber müssen sich freuen und fröhlich sein vor Gott und von Herzen sich freuen. | But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God: Yea, let them rejoice with gladness. |
| Singet Gott, lobsinget seinem Namen! Machet Bahn dem, der durch die Wüste herfährt-er heißt HERR-,und freuet euch vor ihm, | Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts; His name is Jehovah; and exult ye before him. |
| der ein Vater ist der Waisen und ein Richter der Witwen. Er ist Gott in seiner heiligen Wohnung, | A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation. |
| ein Gott, der den Einsamen das Haus voll Kinder gibt, der die Gefangenen ausführt zu rechter Zeit und läßt die Abtrünnigen bleiben in der Dürre. | God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a parched land. |
| Gott, da du vor deinem Volk her zogst, da du einhergingst in der Wüste (Sela), | O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah |
| da bebte die Erde, und die Himmel troffen vor Gott, dieser Sinai vor dem Gott, der Israels Gott ist. | The earth trembled, The heavens also dropped [rain] at the presence of God: Yon Sinai [trembled] at the presence of God, the God of Israel. |
| Du gabst, Gott, einen gnädigen Regen; und dein Erbe, das dürre war, erquicktest du, | Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary. |
| daß deine Herde darin wohnen könne. Gott, du labtest die Elenden mit deinen Gütern. | Thy congregation dwelt therein: Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor. |
| Der HERR gab das Wort mit großen Scharen Evangelisten: | The Lord giveth the word: The women that publish the tidings are a great host. |
| "Die Könige der Heerscharen flohen eilends, und die Hausehre teilte den Raub aus. | Kings of armies flee, they flee; And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil. |
| Wenn ihr zwischen den Hürden laget, so glänzte es wie der Taube Flügel, die wie Silber und Gold schimmern. | When ye lie among the sheepfolds, [It is as] the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her pinions with yellow gold. |
| Als der Allmächtige die Könige im Lande zerstreute, da ward es helle, wo es dunkel war." | When the Almighty scattered kings therein, [It was as when] it snoweth in Zalmon. |
| Ein Gebirge Gottes ist das Gebirge Basans; ein großes Gebirge ist das Gebirge Basans. | A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A high mountain is the mountain of Bashan. |
| Was seht ihr scheel, ihr großen Gebirge, auf den Berg, da Gott Lust hat zu wohnen? Und der HERR bleibt auch immer daselbst. | Why look ye askance, ye high mountains, At the mountain which God hath desired for his abode? Yea, Jehovah will dwell [in it] for ever. |
| Der Wagen Gottes sind vieltausendmal tausend; der HERR ist unter ihnen am heiligen Sinai. | The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands; The Lord is among them, [as in] Sinai, in the sanctuary. |
| Du bist in die Höhe gefahren und hast das Gefängnis gefangen; du hast Gaben empfangen für die Menschen, auch die Abtrünnigen, auf daß Gott der HERR daselbst wohne. | Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives; Thou hast received gifts among men, Yea, [among] the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell [with them]. |
| Gelobet sei der HERR täglich. Gott legt uns eine Last auf; aber er hilft uns auch. (Sela.) | Blessed be the Lord, who daily beareth our burden, Even the God who is our salvation. Selah |
| Wir haben einen Gott, der da hilft, und den HERRN HERRN, der vom Tode errettet. | God is unto us a God of deliverances; And unto Jehovah the Lord belongeth escape from death. |
| Ja, Gott wird den Kopf seiner Feinde zerschmettern, den Haarschädel derer, die da fortfahren in ihrer Sünde. | But God will smite through the head of his enemies, The hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his guiltiness. |
| Der HERR hat gesagt: "Aus Basan will ich dich wieder holen, aus der Tiefe des Meeres will ich sie holen, | The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depths of the sea; |
| daß dein Fuß in der Feinde Blut gefärbt werde und deine Hunde es lecken." | That thou mayest crush [them], [dipping] thy foot in blood, That the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from [thine] enemies. |
| Man sieht, Gott, wie du einherziehst, wie du, mein Gott und König, einherziehst im Heiligtum. | They have seen thy goings, O God, Even the goings of my God, my King, into the sanctuary. |
| Die Sänger gehen vorher, die Spielleute unter den Jungfrauen, die da pauken: | The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, In the midst of the damsels playing with timbrels. |
| "Lobet Gott den HERRN in den Versammlungen, ihr vom Brunnen Israels!" | Bless ye God in the congregations, Even the Lord, [ye that are] of the fountain of Israel. |
| Da herrscht unter ihnen der kleine Benjamin, die Fürsten Juda's mit ihren Haufen, die Fürsten Sebulons, die Fürsten Naphthalis. | There is little Benjamin their ruler, The princes of Judah [and] their council, The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali. |
| Dein Gott hat dein Reich aufgerichtet; das wollest du, Gott, uns stärken, denn es ist dein Werk. | Thy God hath commanded thy strength: Strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us. |
| Um deines Tempels willen zu Jerusalem werden dir die Könige Geschenke zuführen. | Because of thy temple at Jerusalem Kings shall bring presents unto thee. |
| Schilt das Tier im Rohr, die Rotte der Ochsen mit ihren Kälbern, den Völkern, die da zertreten um Geldes willen. Er zerstreut die Völker, die da gerne kriegen. | Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver: He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war. |
| Die Fürsten aus Ägypten werden kommen; Mohrenland wird seine Hände ausstrecken zu Gott. | Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste to stretch out her hands unto God. |
| Ihr Königreiche auf Erden, singet Gott, lobsinget dem HERRN (Sela), | Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; Oh sing praises unto the Lord; Selah |
| dem, der da fährt im Himmel allenthalben von Anbeginn! Siehe, er wird seinem Donner Kraft geben. | To him that rideth upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old; Lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice. |
| Gebet Gott die Macht! Seine Herrlichkeit ist über Israel, und seine Macht in den Wolken. | Ascribe ye strength unto God: His excellency is over Israel, And his strength is in the skies. |
| Gott ist wundersam in seinem Heiligtum. Er ist Gott Israels; er wird dem Volk Macht und Kraft geben. Gelobt sei Gott! | O God, [thou art] terrible out of thy holy places: The God of Israel, he giveth strength and power unto [his] people. Blessed be God. |
