Deuteronomium 2:1 Da wandten wir uns und zogen aus zur Wüste auf der Straße zum Schilfmeer, wie der HERR zu mir sagte, und umzogen das Gebirge Seir eine lange Zeit.	Deuteronomy 2:1 Then we went back, journeying into the waste land by the way to the Red Sea, as the Lord had said to me: and we were a long time going round Mount Seir.
Deuteronomium 2:2 Und der HERR sprach zu mir:	Deuteronomy 2:2 And the Lord said to me,
Deuteronomium 2:3 Ihr habt dies Gebirge nun genug umzogen; wendet euch gegen Mitternacht.	Deuteronomy 2:3 You have been journeying round this mountain long enough: now go to the north;
Deuteronomium 2:4 Und gebiete dem Volk und sprich: ihr werdet durch das Land eurer Brüder, der Kinder Esau, ziehen, die zu Seir wohnen; und sie werden sich vor euch fürchten. Aber verwahrt euch mit Fleiß,	Deuteronomy 2:4 And give the people orders, saying, You are about to go through the land of your brothers, the children of Esau, who are living in Seir; and they will have fear of you; so take care what you do:
Deuteronomium 2:5 daß ihr sie nicht bekrieget; denn ich werde euch ihres Landes nicht einen Fußbreit geben; denn das Gebirge Seir habe ich den Kindern Esau zu besitzen gegeben.	Deuteronomy 2:5 Make no attack on them, for I will not give you any of their land, not even space enough for a man's foot: because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for his heritage.
Deuteronomium 2:6 Speise sollt ihr um Geld von ihnen kaufen, daß ihr esset, und Wasser sollt ihr um Geld von ihnen kaufen, daß ihr trinket.	Deuteronomy 2:6 You may get food for your needs from them for a price, and water for drinking.
Deuteronomium 2:7 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, hat dich gesegnet in allen Werken deiner Hände. Er hat dein Reisen durch diese große Wüste zu Herzen genommen, und vierzig Jahre ist der HERR, dein Gott, bei dir gewesen, daß dir nichts gemangelt hat.	Deuteronomy 2:7 For the blessing of the Lord your God has been on you in all the work of your hands: he has knowledge of your wanderings through this great waste: these forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have been short of nothing.
Deuteronomium 2:8 Da wir nun vor unsern Brüdern, den Kindern Esau, weitergezogen waren, die auf dem Gebirge Seir wohnten, auf dem Wege des Gefildes von Elath und Ezeon-Geber, wandten wir uns und gingen durch den Weg der Wüste der Moabiter.	Deuteronomy 2:8 So we went on past our brothers, the children of Esau, living in Seir, by the road through the Arabah, from Elath and Ezion-geber. And turning, we went by the road through the waste land of Moab.
Deuteronomium 2:9 Da sprach der HERR zu mir: Du sollst den Moabitern nicht Schaden tun noch sie bekriegen; denn ich will dir ihres Landes nichts zu besitzen geben; denn ich habe Ar den Kindern Lot zu besitzen gegeben.	Deuteronomy 2:9 And the Lord said to me, Make no attack on Moab and do not go to war with them, for I will not give you any of his land: because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for their heritage.
Deuteronomium 2:10 (Die Emiter haben vorzeiten darin gewohnt; das war ein großes, starkes und hohes Volk wie die Enakiter.	Deuteronomy 2:10 (In the past the Emim were living there; a great people, equal in numbers to the Anakim and as tall;
Deuteronomium 2:11 Man hielt sie auch für Riesen gleich wie die Enakiter; und die Moabiter heißen sie Emiter.	Deuteronomy 2:11 They are numbered among the Rephaim, like the Anakim; but are named Emim by the Moabites.
Deuteronomium 2:12 Auch wohnten vorzeiten in Seir die Horiter; und die Kinder Esau vertrieben und vertilgten sie vor sich her und wohnten an ihrer Statt, gleich wie Israel dem Lande seiner Besitzung tat, das ihnen der HERR gab.)	Deuteronomy 2:12 And the Horites in earlier times were living in Seir, but the children of Esau took their place; they sent destruction on them and took their land for themselves, as Israel did to the land of his heritage which the Lord gave them.)
Deuteronomium 2:13 So macht euch nun auf und ziehet durch den Bach Sered! und wir zogen hindurch.	Deuteronomy 2:13 Get up now, and go over the stream Zered. So we went over the stream Zered.
Deuteronomium 2:14 Die Zeit aber, die wir von Kades-Barnea zogen, bis wir durch den Bach Sered kamen, war achtunddreißig Jahre, bis alle die Kriegsleute gestorben waren im lager, wie der HERR ihnen geschworen hatte.	Deuteronomy 2:14 Thirty-eight years had gone by from the time when we came away from Kadesh-barnea till we went over the stream Zered; by that time all the generation of the men of war among us were dead, as the Lord had said.
Deuteronomium 2:15 Dazu war auch die Hand des HERRN wider sie, daß sie umkämen aus dem Lager, bis daß ihrer ein Ende würde.	Deuteronomy 2:15 For the hand of the Lord was against them, working their destruction, till all were dead.
Deuteronomium 2:16 Und da aller der Kriegsleute ein Ende war und sie gestorben waren unter dem Volk,	Deuteronomy 2:16 So when death had overtaken all the men of war among the people,
Deuteronomium 2:17 redete der HERR mit mir und sprach:	Deuteronomy 2:17 The word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Deuteronomium 2:18 Du wirst heute durch das Gebiet der Moabiter ziehen bei Ar	Deuteronomy 2:18 You are about to go by Ar, the limit of the country of Moab;
Deuteronomium 2:19 und wirst nahe kommen gegen die Kinder Ammon. Denen sollst du nicht Schaden tun noch sie bekriegen; denn ich will dir des Landes der Kinder Ammon nichts zu besitzen geben; denn ich habe es den Kindern Lot zu besitzen gegeben.	Deuteronomy 2:19 And when you come near the land of the children of Ammon, give them no cause of trouble and do not make war on them, for I will not give you any of the land of the children of Ammon for your heritage: because I have given it to the children of Lot.
Deuteronomium 2:20 (Es ist auch gehalten für der Riesen Land, und haben vorzeiten Riesen darin gewohnt, und die Ammoniter hießen sie Samsummiter.	Deuteronomy 2:20 (That land is said to have been a land of the Rephaim, for Rephaim had been living there in earlier times, but they were named Zamzummim by the Ammonites;
Deuteronomium 2:21 Das war ein großes, starkes hohes Volk wie die Enakiter; und der HERR vertilgte sie vor ihnen und ließ sie ihr Land besitzen, daß sie an ihrer Statt da wohnten,	Deuteronomy 2:21 They were a great people, tall as the Anakim, and equal to them in number; but the Lord sent destruction on them and the children of Ammon took their place, living in their land;
Deuteronomium 2:22 gleichwie er getan hat mit den Kindern Esau, die auf dem Gebirge Seir wohnen, da er die Horiter vor ihnen vertilgte und ließ sie ihr Land besitzen, daß sie da an ihrer Statt wohnten bis auf diesen Tag.	Deuteronomy 2:22 As he did for the children of Esau living in Seir, when he sent destruction on the Horites before them, and they took their land where they are living to this day:
Deuteronomium 2:23 Und die Kaphthoriter zogen aus Kaphthor und vertilgten die Avviter, die in Dörfern wohnten bis gen Gaza, und wohnten an ihrer Statt daselbst.)	Deuteronomy 2:23 And the Avvim, living in the small towns as far as Gaza, came to destruction by the hands of the Caphtorim who came out from Caphtor and took their land.)
Deuteronomium 2:24 Macht euch auf und ziehet aus und gehet über den Bach Arnon. Siehe, ich habe Sihon, den König der Amoriter zu Hesbon, in deine Hände gegeben mit seinem Lande. Hebe an einzunehmen, und streite wider ihn.	Deuteronomy 2:24 Get up now, and go on your journey, crossing over the valley of the Arnon: see, I have given into your hands Sihon, the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and all his land: go forward to make it yours, and make war on him,
Deuteronomium 2:25 Heutigestages will ich anheben, daß sich vor dir fürchten und erschrecken sollen alle Völker unter dem ganzen Himmel, daß, wenn sie von dir hören, ihnen bange und wehe werden soll vor dir.	Deuteronomy 2:25 From now on I will put the fear of you in all peoples under heaven, who, hearing of you, will be shaking with fear and grief of heart because of you.
Deuteronomium 2:26 Da sandte ich Boten aus der Wüste von Kedemoth zu Sihon, dem König zu Hesbon, mit friedlichen Worten und ließ ihm sagen:	Deuteronomy 2:26 Then from the waste land of Kedemoth I sent representatives to Sihon, king of Heshbon, with words of peace, saying,
Deuteronomium 2:27 Ich will durch dein Land ziehen, und wo die Straße geht, will ich gehen; ich will weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken ausweichen.	Deuteronomy 2:27 Let me go through your land: I will keep to the highway, not turning to the right or to the left;
Deuteronomium 2:28 Speise sollst du mir um Geld verkaufen, daß ich esse, und Wasser sollst du mir um Geld geben, daß ich trinke. Ich will nur zu Fuß hindurchgehen,	Deuteronomy 2:28 Let me have food, at a price, for my needs, and water for drinking: only let me go through on foot;
Deuteronomium 2:29 wie mir die Kinder Esau getan haben, die zu Seir wohnen, und die Moabiter, die zu Ar wohnen, bis daß ich komme über den Jordan, in das Land, das uns der HERR, unser Gott, geben wird.	Deuteronomy 2:29 As the children of Esau did for me in Seir and the Moabites in Ar; till I have gone over Jordan into the land which the Lord our God is giving us.
Deuteronomium 2:30 Aber Sihon, der König zu Hesbon, wollte uns nicht durchziehen lassen; denn der HERR, dein Gott, verhärtete seinen Mut und verstockte ihm sein Herz, auf daß er ihn in deine Hände gäbe, wie es heutigestages ist.	Deuteronomy 2:30 But Sihon, king of Heshbon, would not let us go through; for the Lord your God made his spirit hard and his heart strong, so that he might give him up into your hands as at this day.
Deuteronomium 2:31 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Siehe, ich habe angefangen, dahinzugeben vor dir Sihon mit seinem Lande; hebt an, einzunehmen und zu besitzen sein Land.	Deuteronomy 2:31 And the Lord said to me, See, from now on I have given Sihon and his land into your hands: go forward now to take his land and make it yours.
Deuteronomium 2:32 Und Sihon zog aus, uns entgegen, mit allem seinem Volk zum Streit gen Jahza.	Deuteronomy 2:32 Then Sihon came out against us with all his people, to make an attack on us at Jahaz.
Deuteronomium 2:33 Aber der HERR, unser Gott, gab ihn dahin vor uns, daß wir ihn schlugen mit seinen Kindern und seinem ganzen Volk.	Deuteronomy 2:33 And the Lord our God gave him into our hands; and we overcame him and his sons and all his people.
Deuteronomium 2:34 Da gewannen wir zu der Zeit alle seine Städte und verbannten alle Städte, Männer, Weiber und Kinder und ließen niemand übrigbleiben.	Deuteronomy 2:34 At that time we took all his towns, and gave them over to complete destruction, together with men, women, and children; we had no mercy on any:
Deuteronomium 2:35 Allein das Vieh raubten wir für uns und die Ausbeute der Städte, die wir gewannen.	Deuteronomy 2:35 Only the cattle we took for ourselves, with the goods from the towns we had taken.
Deuteronomium 2:36 Von Aroer an, das am Ufer des Bachs Arnon liegt, und von der Stadt am Bach gen Gilead war keine Stadt, die sich vor uns schützen konnte; der HERR, unser Gott, gab alles dahin vor uns.	Deuteronomy 2:36 From Aroer on the edge of the valley of the Arnon and from the town in the valley as far as Gilead, no town was strong enough to keep us out; the Lord our God gave them all into our hands:
Deuteronomium 2:37 Allein zu dem Lande der Kinder Ammon kamst du nicht, weder zu allem, was am Bach Jabbok war, noch zu den Städten auf dem Gebirge noch zu allem, das uns der HERR, unser Gott, verboten hatte.	Deuteronomy 2:37 But you did not go near the land of the children of Ammon, that is, all the side of the river Jabbok or the towns of the hill-country, wherever the Lord our God had said we were not to go.
