Deuteronomium 5:1 Und Mose rief das ganze Israel und sprach zu ihnen: Höre, Israel, die Gebote und Rechte, die ich heute vor euren Ohren rede, und lernt sie und behaltet sie, daß ihr darnach tut!	Deuteronomy 5:1 And Moses sent for all Israel, and said to them, Give ear, O Israel, to the laws and the decisions which I give you today, and give attention to them so that you may keep and do them.
Deuteronomium 5:2 Der HERR, unser Gott, hat einen Bund mit uns gemacht am Horeb	Deuteronomy 5:2 The Lord our God made an agreement with us in Horeb.
Deuteronomium 5:3 und hat nicht mit unsern Vätern diesen Bund gemacht, sondern mit uns, die wir hier sind heutigestages und alle leben.	Deuteronomy 5:3 The Lord did not make this agreement with our fathers but with us, who are all living and present here today.
Deuteronomium 5:4 Er hat von Angesicht zu Angesicht mit euch aus dem Feuer auf dem Berge geredet.	Deuteronomy 5:4 The word of the Lord came to you face to face on the mountain, out of the heart of the fire,
Deuteronomium 5:5 Ich stand zu derselben Zeit zwischen dem HERRN und euch, daß ich euch ansagte des HERRN Wort; denn ihr fürchtetet euch vor dem Feuer und ginget nicht auf den Berg. Und er sprach:	Deuteronomy 5:5 (I was between the Lord and you at that time, to make clear to you the word of the Lord: because, through fear of the fire, you did not go up the mountain;) saying,
Deuteronomium 5:6 Ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der dich aus Ägyptenland geführt hat, aus dem Diensthause.	Deuteronomy 5:6 I am the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house.
Deuteronomium 5:7 Du sollst keine andern Götter haben vor mir.	Deuteronomy 5:7 You are to have no other gods but me.
Deuteronomium 5:8 Du sollst dir kein Bildnis machen, keinerlei Gleichnis, weder des, das oben im Himmel, noch des, das unten auf Erden, noch des, das im Wasser unter der Erde ist.	Deuteronomy 5:8 You may not make for yourselves an image in the form of anything in heaven or on earth or in the waters under the earth:
Deuteronomium 5:9 Du sollst sie nicht anbeten noch ihnen dienen. Denn ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, bin ein eifriger Gott, der die Missetat der Väter heimsucht über die Kinder ins dritte und vierte Glied, die mich hassen;	Deuteronomy 5:9 You may not go down on your faces before them or give them worship: for I, the Lord your God, am a God who will not give his honour to another; and I will send punishment on the children for the wrongdoing of their fathers, to the third and fourth generation of my haters;
Deuteronomium 5:10 und Barmherzigkeit erzeige in viel tausend, die mich lieben und meine Gebote halten.	Deuteronomy 5:10 And I will have mercy through a thousand generations on those who have love for me and keep my laws.
Deuteronomium 5:11 Du sollst den Namen des HERRN, deines Gottes, nicht mißbrauchen; denn der HERR wird den nicht ungestraft lassen, der seinen Namen mißbraucht.	Deuteronomy 5:11 You are not to make use of the name of the Lord your God for an evil purpose; whoever takes the Lord's name on his lips for an evil purpose will be judged as a sinner by the Lord.
Deuteronomium 5:12 Den Sabbattag sollst du halten, daß du ihn heiligest, wie dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat.	Deuteronomy 5:12 Keep the Sabbath day as a holy day, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God.
Deuteronomium 5:13 Sechs Tage sollst du arbeiten und alle deine Werke tun.	Deuteronomy 5:13 On six days do all your work:
Deuteronomium 5:14 Aber am siebenten Tage ist der Sabbat des HERRN, deines Gottes. Da sollst du keine Arbeit tun noch dein Sohn noch deine Tochter noch dein Knecht noch deine Magd noch dein Ochse noch dein Esel noch all dein Vieh noch dein Fremdling, der in deinen Toren ist, auf daß dein Knecht und deine Magd ruhe wie du.	Deuteronomy 5:14 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; on that day do no work, you or your son or your daughter, or your man-servant or your woman-servant, or your ox or your ass or any of your cattle, or the man from a strange country who is living among you; so that your man-servant and your woman-servant may have rest as well as you.
Deuteronomium 5:15 Denn du sollst gedenken, daß du auch Knecht in Ägyptenland warst und der HERR, dein Gott, dich von dort ausgeführt hat mit einer mächtigen Hand und mit ausgerecktem Arm. Darum hat dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten, daß du den Sabbattag halten sollst.	Deuteronomy 5:15 And keep in mind that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord your God took you out of that land by his strong hand and his stretched-out arm: for this reason the Lord has given you orders to keep the Sabbath day.
Deuteronomium 5:16 Du sollst deinen Vater und deine Mutter ehren, wie dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat, auf daß du lange lebest und daß dir's wohl gehe in dem Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird.	Deuteronomy 5:16 Give honour to your father and your mother, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God; so that your life may be long and all may be well for you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
Deuteronomium 5:17 Du sollst nicht töten.	Deuteronomy 5:17 Do not put anyone to death without cause.
Deuteronomium 5:18 Du sollst nicht ehebrechen.	Deuteronomy 5:18 Do not be false to the married relation.
Deuteronomium 5:19 Du sollst nicht stehlen.	Deuteronomy 5:19 Do not take the property of another.
Deuteronomium 5:20 Du sollst kein falsch Zeugnis reden wider deinen Nächsten.	Deuteronomy 5:20 Do not give false witness against your neighbour;
Deuteronomium 5:21 Laß dich nicht gelüsten deines Nächsten Weibes. Du sollst nicht begehren deines Nächsten Haus, Acker, Knecht, Magd, Ochsen, Esel noch alles, was sein ist.	Deuteronomy 5:21 Or let your desire be turned to your neighbour's wife, or his house or his field or his man-servant or his woman-servant or his ox or his ass or anything which is your neighbour's.
Deuteronomium 5:22 Das sind die Worte, die der HERR redete zu eurer ganzen Gemeinde auf dem Berge, aus dem Feuer und der Wolke und dem Dunkel, mit großer Stimme, und tat nichts dazu und schrieb sie auf zwei steinerne Tafeln und gab sie mir.	Deuteronomy 5:22 These words the Lord said to all of you together on the mountain, out of the heart of the fire, out of the cloud and the dark, with a great voice: and he said no more; he put them in writing on the two stones of the law and gave them to me.
Deuteronomium 5:23 Da ihr aber die Stimme aus der Finsternis hörtet und den Berg mit Feuer brennen saht, tratet ihr zu mir, alle Obersten unter euren Stämmen und eure Ältesten,	Deuteronomy 5:23 And after hearing the voice which came out of the dark while the mountain was burning with fire, all the heads of your tribes and your chiefs came to me,
Deuteronomium 5:24 und spracht: Siehe, der HERR, unser Gott, hat uns lassen sehen sein Herrlichkeit und seine Majestät; und wir haben sein Stimme aus dem Feuer gehört. Heutigestages haben wir gesehen, daß Gott mit Menschen redet, und sie lebendig bleiben.	Deuteronomy 5:24 And said, The Lord has let us see his glory and his power, and his voice has come to us out of the fire: today we have seen that a man may go on living even after hearing the voice of God.
Deuteronomium 5:25 Und nun, warum sollen wir sterben, daß uns dies große Feuer verzehre? Wenn wir des HERRN, unsers Gottes, Stimme weiter hören, so müssen wir sterben.	Deuteronomy 5:25 Why then is death to be our fate? For if the voice of the Lord our God comes to us any more, death will overtake us, and we will be burned up in this great fire.
Deuteronomium 5:26 Denn was ist alles Fleisch, daß es hören möge die Stimme des lebendigen Gottes aus dem Feuer reden wie wir, und lebendig bleibe?	Deuteronomy 5:26 For what man is there in all the earth, who, hearing the voice of the living God as we have, out of the heart of the fire, has been kept from death?
Deuteronomium 5:27 Tritt nun hinzu und höre alles, was der HERR, unser Gott, sagt, und sage es uns. Alles, was der HERR, unser Gott, mit dir reden wird, das wollen wir hören und tun.	Deuteronomy 5:27 Do you go near: and after hearing everything which the Lord our God has to say, give us an account of all he has said to you, and we will give ear, and do it.
Deuteronomium 5:28 Da aber der HERR eure Worte hörte, die ihr mit mir redetet, sprach er zu mir: Ich habe gehört die Worte dieses Volks, die sie dir geredet haben; es ist alles gut, was sie geredet haben.	Deuteronomy 5:28 Then the Lord, hearing your words to me, said to me, The words which this people have said to you have come to my ears: what they have said is well said.
Deuteronomium 5:29 Ach daß sie ein solch Herz hätten, mich zu fürchten, und zu halten alle meine Gebote ihr Leben lang, auf daß es ihnen wohl ginge und ihren Kindern ewiglich!	Deuteronomy 5:29 If only they had such a heart in them at all times, so that they might go in fear of me and keep my orders and that it might be well for them and for their children for ever!
Deuteronomium 5:30 Gehe hin und sage ihnen: Gehet heim in eure Hütten.	Deuteronomy 5:30 Now say to them, Go back to your tents.
Deuteronomium 5:31 Du aber sollst hier vor mir stehen, daß ich mit dir rede alle Gesetze und Gebote und Rechte, die du sie lehren sollst, daß sie darnach tun in dem Lande, das ich ihnen geben werde einzunehmen.	Deuteronomy 5:31 But as for you, keep your place here by me, and I will give you all the orders and the laws and the decisions which you are to make clear to them, so that they may do them in the land which I am giving them for their heritage.
Deuteronomium 5:32 So habt nun acht, daß ihr tut, wie euch der HERR, euer Gott, geboten hat, und weicht nicht, weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken,	Deuteronomy 5:32 Take care, then, to do whatever the Lord your God has given you orders to do; let there be no turning away to the right hand or to the left.
Deuteronomium 5:33 sondern wandelt in allen Wegen, die euch der HERR, euer Gott geboten hat, auf daß ihr leben möget und es euch wohl gehe und ihr lange lebt in dem Lande, das ihr einnehmen werdet.	Deuteronomy 5:33 Go on walking in the way ordered for you by the Lord your God, so that life may be yours and it may be well for you, and your days may be long in the land of your heritage.
