Ester 3	Esther 3
Ester 3:1 Nach diesen Geschichten machte der König Ahasveros Haman groß, den Sohn Hammedathas, den Agagiter, und erhöhte ihn und setzte seinen Stuhl über alle Fürsten, die bei ihm waren.	Esther 3:1 After these things, by the order of the king, Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, was lifted up and given a position of honour and a higher place than all the other captains who were with him.
Ester 3:2 Und alle Knechte des Königs, die im Tor waren, beugten die Kniee und fielen vor Haman nieder; denn der König hatte es also geboten. Aber Mardochai beugte die Kniee nicht und fiel nicht nieder.	Esther 3:2 And all the king's servants who were in the king's house went down to the earth before Haman and gave him honour: for so the king had given orders. But Mordecai did not go down before him or give him honour.
Ester 3:3 Da sprachen des Königs Knechte, die im Tor des Königs waren, zu Mardochai: Warum übertrittst du des Königs Gebot?	Esther 3:3 Then the king's servants who were in the king's house said to Mordecai, Why do you go against the king's order?
Ester 3:4 Und da sie solches täglich zu ihm sagten und er ihnen nicht gehorchte, sagten sie es Haman an, daß sie sähen, ob solch Tun Mardochais bestehen würde; denn er hatte ihnen gesagt, daß er ein Jude wäre.	Esther 3:4 Now when they had said this to him day after day and he gave no attention, they let Haman have news of it, to see if Mordecai's behaviour would be overlooked: for he had said to them that he was a Jew.
Ester 3:5 Und da nun Haman sah, daß Mardochai ihm nicht die Kniee beugte noch vor ihm niederfiel, ward er voll Grimms.	Esther 3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai did not go down before him and give him honour, Haman was full of wrath.
Ester 3:6 Und verachtete es, daß er an Mardochai allein sollte die Hand legen, denn sie hatten ihm das Volk Mardochais angesagt; sondern er trachtete, das Volk Mardochais, alle Juden, so im ganzen Königreich des Ahasveros waren, zu vertilgen.	Esther 3:6 But it was not enough for him to make an attack on Mordecai only; for they had made clear to him who Mordecai's people were; so Haman made it his purpose to put an end to all the Jews, even Mordecai's people, through all the kingdom of Ahasuerus.
Ester 3:7 Im ersten Monat, das ist der Monat Nisan, im zwölften Jahr des Königs Ahasveros, ward das Pur, das ist das Los, geworfen vor Haman, von einem Tage auf den andern und von Monat zu Monat bis auf den zwölften, das ist der Monat Adar.	Esther 3:7 In the first month, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, from day to day and from month to month they went on looking for a sign given by Pur (that is chance) before Haman, till the sign came out for the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar.
Ester 3:8 Und Haman sprach zum König Ahasveros: Es ist ein Volk, zerstreut in allen Ländern deines Königreichs, und ihr Gesetz ist anders denn aller Völker, und tun nicht nach des Königs Gesetzen; es ziemt dem König nicht, sie also zu lassen.	Esther 3:8 And Haman said to King Ahasuerus, There is a certain nation living here and there in small groups among the people in all the divisions of your kingdom; their laws are different from those of any other nation, and they do not keep the king's laws: for this reason it is not right for the king to let them be.
Ester 3:9 Gefällt es dem König, so lasse er schreiben, daß man sie umbringe; so will ich zehntausend Zentner Silber darwägen unter die Hand der Amtleute, daß man's bringt in die Kammer des Königs.	Esther 3:9 If it is the king's pleasure, let a statement ordering their destruction be put in writing: and I will give to those responsible for the king's business, ten thousand talents of silver for the king's store-house.
Ester 3:10 Da tat der König seinen Ring von der Hand und gab ihn Haman, dem Sohn Hammadathas, dem Agagiter, der Juden Feind.	Esther 3:10 And the king took his ring from his hand and gave it to Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the hater of the Jews.
Ester 3:11 Und der König sprach zu Haman: Das Silber sei dir gegeben, dazu das Volk, daß du damit tust, was dir gefällt.	Esther 3:11 And the king said to Haman, The money is yours, and the people, to do with them whatever seems right to you.
Ester 3:12 Da rief man die Schreiber des Königs am dreizehnten Tage des ersten Monats; und ward geschrieben, wie Haman befahl, an die Fürsten des Königs und zu den Landpflegern hin und her in den Ländern und zu den Hauptleuten eines jeglichen Volks in den Ländern hin und her, nach der Schrift eines jeglichen Volks und nach ihrer Sprache, im Namen des Königs Ahasveros und mit des Königs Ring versiegelt.	Esther 3:12 Then on the thirteenth day of the first month, the king's scribes were sent for, and they put in writing Haman's orders to all the king's captains and the rulers of every division of his kingdom and the chiefs of every people: for every division of the kingdom in the writing commonly used there, and to every people in the language which was theirs; it was signed in the name of King Ahasuerus and stamped with the king's ring.
Ester 3:13 Und die Briefe wurden gesandt durch die Läufer in alle Länder des Königs, zu vertilgen, zu erwürgen und umzubringen alle Juden, jung und alt, Kinder und Weiber, auf einen Tag, nämlich auf den dreizehnten Tag des zwölften Monats, das ist der Monat Adar, und ihr Gut zu rauben.	Esther 3:13 And letters were sent by the runners into every division of the kingdom ordering the death and destruction of all Jews, young and old, little children and women, on the same day, even the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar, and the taking of all their goods by force.
Ester 3:14 Also war der Inhalt der Schrift: daß ein Gebot gegeben wäre in allen Ländern, allen Völkern zu eröffnen, daß sie auf denselben Tag bereit wären.	Esther 3:14 A copy of the writing, to be made public in every part of the kingdom, was sent out to all the peoples, so that they might be ready when that day came.
Ester 3:15 Und die Läufer gingen aus eilend nach des Königs Wort, und zu Schloß Susan ward das Gebot angeschlagen. Und der König und Haman saßen und tranken; aber die Stadt Susan ward bestürzt.	Esther 3:15 The runners went out quickly by the king's order, and a public statement was made in Shushan: and the king and Haman took wine together: but the town of Shushan was troubled.
