Galater 4:1 Ich sage aber: Solange der Erbe unmündig ist, so ist zwischen ihm und einem Knecht kein Unterschied, ob er wohl ein Herr ist aller Güter;	Galatians 4:1 But I say that as long as the son is a child, he is in no way different from a servant, though he is lord of all;
Galater 4:2 sondern er ist unter den Vormündern und Pflegern bis auf die Zeit, die der Vater bestimmt hat.	Galatians 4:2 But is under keepers and managers till the time fixed by the father.
Galater 4:3 Also auch wir, da wir unmündig waren, waren wir gefangen unter den äußerlichen Satzungen.	Galatians 4:3 So we, when we were young, were kept under the first rules of the world;
Galater 4:4 Da aber die Zeit erfüllet ward, sandte Gott seinen Sohn, geboren von einem Weibe und unter das Gesetz getan,	Galatians 4:4 But when the time had come, God sent out his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Galater 4:5 auf daß er die, so unter dem Gesetz waren, erlöste, daß wir die Kindschaft empfingen.	Galatians 4:5 That he might make them free who were under the law, and that we might be given the place of sons.
Galater 4:6 Weil ihr denn Kinder seid, hat Gott gesandt den Geist seines Sohnes in eure Herzen, der schreit: Abba, lieber Vater!	Galatians 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, saying, Abba, Father.
Galater 4:7 Also ist nun hier kein Knecht mehr, sondern eitel Kinder; sind's aber Kinder, so sind's auch Erben Gottes durch Christum.	Galatians 4:7 So that you are no longer a servant, but a son; and if a son, then the heritage of God is yours.
Galater 4:8 Aber zu der Zeit, da ihr Gott nicht erkanntet, dientet ihr denen, die von Natur nicht Götter sind.	Galatians 4:8 But at that time, having no knowledge of God, you were servants to those who by right are no gods:
Galater 4:9 Nun ihr aber Gott erkannt habt, ja vielmehr von Gott erkannt seid, wie wendet ihr euch denn wiederum zu den schwachen und dürftigen Satzungen, welchen ihr von neuem an dienen wollt?	Galatians 4:9 But now that you have come to have knowledge of God, or more truly, God has knowledge of you, how is it that you go back again to the poor and feeble first things, desiring to be servants to them again?
Galater 4:10 Ihr haltet Tage und Monate und Feste und Jahre.	Galatians 4:10 You keep days, and months, and fixed times, and years.
Galater 4:11 Ich fürchte für euch, daß ich vielleicht umsonst an euch gearbeitet habe.	Galatians 4:11 I am in fear of you, that I may have been working for you to no purpose.
Galater 4:12 Seid doch wie ich; denn ich bin wie ihr. Liebe Brüder, ich bitte euch. Ihr habt mir kein Leid getan.	Galatians 4:12 My desire for you, brothers, is that you may be as I am, because I am as you are. You have done me no wrong;
Galater 4:13 Denn ihr wisset, daß ich euch in Schwachheit nach dem Fleisch das Evangelium gepredigt habe zum erstenmal.	Galatians 4:13 But you have knowledge that with a feeble body I was preaching the good news to you the first time;
Galater 4:14 Und meine Anfechtungen, die ich leide nach dem Fleisch, habt ihr nicht verachtet noch verschmäht; sondern wie ein Engel Gottes nahmet ihr mich auf, ja wie Christum Jesum.	Galatians 4:14 And you did not have a poor opinion of me because of the trouble in my flesh, or put shame on it; but you took me to your hearts as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
Galater 4:15 Wie wart ihr dazumal so selig! ich bin euer Zeuge, daß, wenn es möglich gewesen wäre, ihr hättet eure Augen ausgerissen und mir gegeben.	Galatians 4:15 Where then is that happy condition of yours? because I give you witness, that, if possible, you would have taken out your eyes and given them to me.
Galater 4:16 Bin ich denn damit euer Feind geworden, daß ich euch die Wahrheit vorhalte?	Galatians 4:16 So then am I no longer your friend, because I give you true words?
Galater 4:17 Sie eifern um euch nicht fein; sondern sie wollen euch von mir abfällig machen, daß ihr um sie eifern sollt.	Galatians 4:17 Their interest in you is not good; but their desire is that you may be shut out, so that you may go after them.
Galater 4:18 Eifern ist gut, wenn's immerdar geschieht um das Gute, und nicht allein, wenn ich gegenwärtig bei euch bin.	Galatians 4:18 But it is good to have an interest in a good cause at all times, and not only when I am present with you.
Galater 4:19 Meine lieben Kinder, welche ich abermals mit Ängsten gebäre, bis daß Christus in euch eine Gestalt gewinne,	Galatians 4:19 My children, of whom I am again in birth-pains till Christ is formed in you,
Galater 4:20 ich wollte, daß ich jetzt bei euch wäre und meine Stimme wandeln könnte; denn ich bin irre an euch.	Galatians 4:20 Truly my desire is to be present with you now, using a changed voice; for I am troubled about you.
Galater 4:21 Saget mir, die ihr unter dem Gesetz sein wollt: Habt ihr das Gesetz nicht gehört?	Galatians 4:21 Say, you whose desire it is to be under the law, do you not give ear to the law?
Galater 4:22 Denn es steht geschrieben, daß Abraham zwei Söhne hatte: einen von der Magd, den andern von der Freien.	Galatians 4:22 Because it is in the Writings, that Abraham had two sons, one by the servant-woman, and one by the free woman.
Galater 4:23 Aber der von der Magd war, ist nach dem Fleisch geboren; der aber von der Freien ist durch die Verheißung geboren.	Galatians 4:23 Now the son by the servant-woman has his birth after the flesh; but the son by the free woman has his birth through the undertaking of God.
Galater 4:24 Die Worte bedeuten etwas. Denn das sind zwei Testamente: eins von dem Berge Sinai, daß zur Knechtschaft gebiert, welches ist die Hagar;	Galatians 4:24 Which things have a secret sense; because these women are the two agreements; one from the mountain of Sinai, giving birth to servants, which is Hagar.
Galater 4:25 denn Hagar heißt in Arabien der Berg Sinai und kommt überein mit Jerusalem, das zu dieser Zeit ist und dienstbar ist mit seinen Kindern.	Galatians 4:25 Now this Hagar is the mountain Sinai in Arabia, and is the image of the Jerusalem which now is: which is a servant with her children.
Galater 4:26 Aber das Jerusalem, das droben ist, das ist die Freie; die ist unser aller Mutter.	Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem on high is free, which is our mother.
Galater 4:27 Denn es steht geschrieben: "Sei fröhlich, du Unfruchtbare, die du nicht gebierst! Und brich hervor und rufe, die du nicht schwanger bist! Denn die Einsame hat viel mehr Kinder, denn die den Mann hat."	Galatians 4:27 For it is in the Writings, You who have never given birth, be glad; give cries of joy, you who have had no birth-pains; for the children of her who has been given up by her husband are more than those of the woman who has a husband.
Galater 4:28 Wir aber, liebe Brüder, sind, Isaak nach, der Verheißung Kinder.	Galatians 4:28 Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are the children of the undertaking of God.
Galater 4:29 Aber gleichwie zu der Zeit, der nach dem Fleisch geboren war, verfolgte den, der nach dem Geist geboren war, also geht es auch jetzt.	Galatians 4:29 But as in those days he who had birth after the flesh was cruel to him who had birth after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Galater 4:30 Aber was spricht die Schrift? "Stoß die Magd hinaus mit ihrem Sohn; denn der Magd Sohn soll nicht erben mit dem Sohn der Freien."	Galatians 4:30 What then do the Writings say? Send away the servant-woman and her son; for the son of the servant-woman will not have a part in the heritage with the son of the free woman.
Galater 4:31 So sind wir nun, liebe Brüder, nicht der Magd Kinder, sondern der Freien.	Galatians 4:31 So, brothers, we are not children of the servant-woman, but of the free woman.
