Hiob 35:1 Und es hob an Elihu und sprach:	Job 35:1 And Elihu made answer and said,
Hiob 35:2 Achtest du das für Recht, daß du sprichst: "Ich bin gerechter denn Gott"?	Job 35:2 Does it seem to you to be right, and righteousness before God, to say,
Hiob 35:3 Denn du sprichst: "Wer gilt bei dir etwas? Was hilft es, ob ich nicht sündige?"	Job 35:3 What profit is it to me, and how am I better off than if I had done wrong?
Hiob 35:4 Ich will dir antworten ein Wort und deinen Freunden mit dir.	Job 35:4 I will make answer to you and to your friends:
Hiob 35:5 Schaue gen Himmel und siehe; und schau an die Wolken, daß sie dir zu hoch sind.	Job 35:5 Let your eyes be turned to the heavens, and lifted up to see the skies; they are higher than you.
Hiob 35:6 Sündigst du, was kannst du ihm Schaden? Und ob deiner Missetaten viel ist, was kannst du ihm tun?	Job 35:6 If you have done wrong, is he any the worse for it? and if your sins are great in number, what is it to him?
Hiob 35:7 Und ob du gerecht seist, was kannst du ihm geben, oder was wird er von deinen Händen nehmen?	Job 35:7 If you are upright, what do you give to him? or what does he take from your hand?
Hiob 35:8 Einem Menschen, wie du bist, mag wohl etwas tun deine Bosheit, und einem Menschenkind deine Gerechtigkeit.	Job 35:8 Your evil-doing may have an effect on a man like yourself, or your righteousness on a son of man.
Hiob 35:9 Man schreit, daß viel Gewalt geschieht, und ruft über den Arm der Großen;	Job 35:9 Because the hand of the cruel is hard on them, men are making sounds of grief; they are crying out for help because of the arm of the strong.
Hiob 35:10 aber man fragt nicht: "Wo ist Gott, mein Schöpfer, der Lobgesänge gibt in der Nacht,	Job 35:10 But no one has said, Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night;
Hiob 35:11 der uns klüger macht denn das Vieh auf Erden und weiser denn die Vögel unter dem Himmel?"	Job 35:11 Who gives us more knowledge than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the heaven?
Hiob 35:12 Da schreien sie über den Hochmut der Bösen, und er wird sie nicht erhören.	Job 35:12 There they are crying out because of the pride of the evil-doers, but he gives them no answer.
Hiob 35:13 Denn Gott wird das Eitle nicht erhören, und der Allmächtige wird es nicht ansehen.	Job 35:13 But God will not give ear to what is false, or the Ruler of all take note of it;
Hiob 35:14 Nun sprichst du gar, du wirst ihn nicht sehen. Aber es ist ein Gericht vor ihm, harre sein nur!	Job 35:14 How much less when you say that you do not see him; that the cause is before him, and you are waiting for him.
Hiob 35:15 ob auch sein Zorn so bald nicht heimsucht und er sich's nicht annimmt, daß so viel Laster da sind.	Job 35:15 And now ... ;
Hiob 35:16 Darum hat Hiob seinen Mund umsonst aufgesperrt und gibt stolzes Gerede vor mit Unverstand.	Job 35:16 And Job's mouth is open wide to give out what is of no profit, increasing words without knowledge.
