Josua 4:1 Da nun das Volk ganz über den Jordan gegangen war, sprach der HERR zu Josua:	Joshua 4:1 Now when all the nation had come to the other side of Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua,
Josua 4:2 Nehmt euch zwölf Männer, aus jeglichem Stamm einen,	Joshua 4:2 Take twelve men from the people, a man for every tribe,
Josua 4:3 und gebietet ihnen und sprecht: Hebt auf aus dem Jordan zwölf Steine von dem Ort, da die Füße der Priester stillgestanden sind, und bringt sie mit euch hinüber, daß ihr sie in der Herberge laßt, da ihr diese Nacht herbergen werdet.	Joshua 4:3 And say to them, Take up from the middle of Jordan, from the place where the feet of the priests were resting, twelve stones, and take them over with you and put them down in the place where you take your rest tonight.
Josua 4:4 Da rief Josua die zwölf Männer, die er verordnet hatte aus den Kindern Israel, aus jeglichem Stamm einen,	Joshua 4:4 So Joshua sent for the twelve men, whom he had ready, one man out of every tribe of the children of Israel,
Josua 4:5 und sprach zu ihnen: Geht hinüber vor die Lade des HERRN, eures Gottes, mitten in den Jordan und hebe ein jeglicher einen Stein auf seine Achsel, nach der Zahl der Stämme der Kinder Israel,	Joshua 4:5 And he said to them, Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of Jordan, and let every one of you take up a stone on his back, one for every tribe of the children of Israel:
Josua 4:6 daß sie ein Zeichen seien unter euch. Wenn eure Kinder hernach ihre Väter fragen werden und sprechen: Was tun diese Steine da?	Joshua 4:6 So that this may be a sign among you; when your children say to you in time to come, What is the reason for these stones?
Josua 4:7 so sollt ihr ihnen sagen: Weil das Wasser des Jordans abgerissen ist vor der Lade des Bundes des HERRN, da sie durch den Jordan ging, sollen diese Steine den Kindern Israels ein ewiges Gedächtnis sein.	Joshua 4:7 Then you will say to them, Because the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the Lord's agreement; when it went over Jordan the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones will be a sign for the children of Israel, keeping it in their memory for ever.
Josua 4:8 Da taten die Kinder Israel, wie ihnen Josua geboten hatte, und trugen zwölf Steine mitten aus dem Jordan, wie der HERR zu Josua gesagt hatte, nach der Zahl der Stämme der Kinder Israel, und brachten sie mit sich hinüber in die Herberge und ließen sie daselbst.	Joshua 4:8 So the children of Israel did as Joshua gave them orders, and took twelve stones from the middle of Jordan, as the Lord had said to Joshua, one for every tribe of the children of Israel; these they took across with them to their night's resting-place and put them down there.
Josua 4:9 Und Josua richtete zwölf Steine auf mitten im Jordan, da die Füße der Priester gestanden waren, die die Lade des Bundes trugen; die sind noch daselbst bis auf diesen Tag.	Joshua 4:9 And Joshua put up twelve stones in the middle of Jordan, where the feet of the priests who took up the ark of the agreement had been placed: and there they are to this day.
Josua 4:10 Denn die Priester, die die Lade trugen, standen mitten im Jordan, bis daß alles ausgerichtet ward, was der HERR dem Josua geboten hatte. Und das Volk eilte und ging hinüber.	Joshua 4:10 For the priests who took up the ark kept there in the middle of Jordan till all the orders given to Joshua by Moses from the Lord had been done: then the people went over quickly.
Josua 4:11 Da nun das Volk ganz hinübergegangen war, da ging die Lade des HERRN auch hinüber und die Priester vor dem Volk her.	Joshua 4:11 And when all the people had come to the other side, the ark of the Lord went over, and the priests, before the eyes of the people.
Josua 4:12 Und die Rubeniter und Gaditer und der halbe Stamm Manasse gingen gerüstet vor den Kindern Israel her, wie Mose zu ihnen geredet hatte.	Joshua 4:12 And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh went over armed before the children of Israel as Moses had said to them:
Josua 4:13 Bei vierzigtausend Gerüstete zum Heer gingen vor dem HERRN zum Streit auf das Gefilde Jerichos.	Joshua 4:13 About forty thousand armed for war went over before the Lord to the fight, to the lowlands of Jericho.
Josua 4:14 An dem Tage machte der HERR den Josua groß vor dem ganzen Israel; und sie fürchteten ihn, wie sie Mose fürchteten, sein Leben lang.	Joshua 4:14 That day the Lord made Joshua great in the eyes of all Israel; and all the days of his life they went in fear of him, as they had gone in fear of Moses.
Josua 4:15 Und der HERR sprach zu Josua:	Joshua 4:15 Then the Lord said to Joshua,
Josua 4:16 Gebiete den Priestern, die die Lade des Zeugnisses tragen, daß sie aus dem Jordan heraufsteigen.	Joshua 4:16 Give orders to the priests who take up the ark of witness, to come up out of Jordan.
Josua 4:17 Also gebot Josua den Priestern und sprach: Steigt herauf aus dem Jordan!	Joshua 4:17 So Joshua gave orders to the priests, saying, Come up now out of Jordan.
Josua 4:18 Und da die Priester, die die Lade des HERRN trugen, aus dem Jordan heraufstiegen und mit ihren Fußsohlen aufs Trockene traten, kam das Wasser des Jordans wieder an seine Stätte und floß wie zuvor an allen seinen Ufern.	Joshua 4:18 And when the priests who took up the ark of the Lord's agreement came up out of Jordan and their feet came out on to dry land, the waters of Jordan went back to their place, overflowing its edges as before.
Josua 4:19 Es war aber der zehnte Tag des ersten Monats, da das Volk aus dem Jordan heraufstieg; und lagerten sich in Gilgal, gegen Morgen vor der Stadt Jericho.	Joshua 4:19 So on the tenth day of the first month the people came up out of Jordan, and put up their tents in Gilgal, on the east side of Jericho.
Josua 4:20 Und die zwölf Steine, die sie aus dem Jordan genommen hatten, richtete Josua auf zu Gilgal	Joshua 4:20 And the twelve stones which they took out of Jordan, Joshua put up in Gilgal.
Josua 4:21 und sprach zu den Kinder Israel: Wenn eure Kinder hernach ihre Väter fragen werden und sagen: Was sollen diese Steine?	Joshua 4:21 And he said to the children of Israel, When your children say to their fathers in time to come, What is the reason for these stones?
Josua 4:22 So sollt ihr's ihnen kundtun und sagen: Israel ging trocken durch den Jordan,	Joshua 4:22 Then give your children the story, and say, Israel came over this river Jordan on dry land.
Josua 4:23 da der HERR, euer Gott, das Wasser des Jordans austrocknete vor euch, bis ihr hinüberginget, gleichwie der HERR, euer Gott, tat in dem Schilfmeer, das er vor uns austrocknete, bis wir hindurchgingen,	Joshua 4:23 For the Lord your God made the waters of Jordan dry before you till you had gone across, as he did to the Red Sea, drying it up before us till we had gone across:
Josua 4:24 auf daß alle Völker auf Erden die Hand des HERRN erkennen, wie mächtig sie ist, daß ihr den HERRN, euren Gott, fürchtet allezeit.	Joshua 4:24 So that all the peoples of the earth may see that the hand of the Lord is strong; and that they may go in fear of the Lord your God for ever.
