Lukas 4:1 Jesus aber, voll des heiligen Geistes, kam wieder von dem Jordan und ward vom Geist in die Wüste geführt	Luke 4:1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, came back from the Jordan, and was guided by the Spirit in the waste land
Lukas 4:2 und ward vierzig Tage lang vom Teufel versucht. Und er aß nichts in diesen Tagen; und da sie ein Ende hatten, hungerte ihn darnach.	Luke 4:2 For forty days, being tested by the Evil One. And he had no food in those days; and when they came to an end, he was in need of food.
Lukas 4:3 Der Teufel aber sprach zu ihm: Bist du Gottes Sohn, so sprich zu dem Stein, daß er Brot werde.	Luke 4:3 And the Evil One said to him, If you are the Son of God, give orders to this stone to become bread.
Lukas 4:4 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Es steht geschrieben: "Der Mensch lebt nicht allein vom Brot, sondern von einem jeglichen Wort Gottes."	Luke 4:4 And Jesus made answer to him, It has been said in the Writings, Bread is not man's only need.
Lukas 4:5 Und der Teufel führte ihn auf einen hohen Berg und zeigte ihm alle Reiche der ganzen Welt in einem Augenblick	Luke 4:5 And he took him up and let him see all the kingdoms of the earth in a minute of time.
Lukas 4:6 und sprach zu ihm: Alle diese Macht will ich dir geben und ihre Herrlichkeit; denn sie ist mir übergeben, und ich gebe sie, welchem ich will.	Luke 4:6 And the Evil One said, I will give you authority over all these, and the glory of them, for it has been given to me, and I give it to anyone at my pleasure.
Lukas 4:7 So du nun mich willst anbeten, so soll es alles dein sein.	Luke 4:7 If then you will give worship to me, it will all be yours.
Lukas 4:8 Jesus antwortete ihm und sprach: Es steht geschrieben: "Du sollst Gott, deinen HERRN, anbeten und ihm allein dienen."	Luke 4:8 And Jesus in answer said to him, It has been said in the Writings, Give worship to the Lord your God, and be his servant only.
Lukas 4:9 Und er führte ihn gen Jerusalem und stellte ihn auf des Tempels Zinne und sprach zu ihm: Bist du Gottes Sohn, so laß dich von hinnen hinunter	Luke 4:9 And he took him to Jerusalem and put him on the highest point of the Temple and said to him, If you are the Son of God, let yourself go down from here; for it is said in the Writings,
Lukas 4:10 denn es steht geschrieben: "Er wird befehlen seinen Engeln von dir, daß sie dich bewahren	Luke 4:10 He will give his angels orders to take care of you:
Lukas 4:11 und auf den Händen tragen, auf daß du nicht etwa deinen Fuß an einen Stein stößt."	Luke 4:11 And, In their hands they will keep you up, so that your foot may not be crushed against a stone.
Lukas 4:12 Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Es ist gesagt: "Du sollst Gott, deinen HERRN, nicht versuchen."	Luke 4:12 And Jesus made answer and said to him, It is said in the Writings, You may not put the Lord your God to the test.
Lukas 4:13 Und da der Teufel alle Versuchung vollendet hatte, wich er von ihm eine Zeitlang.	Luke 4:13 And when all these tests were ended the Evil One went away from him for a time.
Lukas 4:14 Und Jesus kam wieder in des Geistes Kraft nach Galiläa; und das Gerücht erscholl von ihm durch alle umliegenden Orte.	Luke 4:14 And Jesus came back to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news of him went through all the country round about.
Lukas 4:15 Und er lehrte in ihren Schulen und ward von jedermann gepriesen.	Luke 4:15 And he was teaching in their Synagogues and all men gave him praise.
Lukas 4:16 Und er kam gen Nazareth, da er erzogen war, und ging in die Schule nach seiner Gewohnheit am Sabbattage und stand auf und wollte lesen.	Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been as a child, and he went, as his way was, into the Synagogue on the Sabbath, and got up to give a reading.
Lukas 4:17 Da ward ihm das Buch des Propheten Jesaja gereicht. Und da er das Buch auftat, fand er den Ort, da geschrieben steht:	Luke 4:17 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was given to him and, opening the book, he came on the place where it is said,
Lukas 4:18 "Der Geist des HERRN ist bei mir, darum, daß er mich gesalbt hat; er hat mich gesandt, zu verkündigen das Evangelium den Armen, zu heilen die zerstoßenen Herzen, zu predigen den Gefangenen, daß sie los sein sollten, und den Blinden das Gesicht und den Zerschlagenen, daß sie frei und ledig sein sollen,	Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because I am marked out by him to give good news to the poor; he has sent me to make well those who are broken-hearted; to say that the prisoners will be let go, and the blind will see, and to make the wounded free from their chains,
Lukas 4:19 und zu verkündigen das angenehme Jahr des HERRN."	Luke 4:19 To give knowledge that the year of the Lord's good pleasure is come.
Lukas 4:20 Und als er das Buch zutat, gab er's dem Diener und setzte sich. Und aller Augen, die in der Schule waren, sahen auf ihn.	Luke 4:20 And shutting the book he gave it back to the servant and took his seat: and the eyes of all in the Synagogue were fixed on him.
Lukas 4:21 Und er fing an, zu sagen zu ihnen: Heute ist diese Schrift erfüllt vor euren Ohren.	Luke 4:21 Then he said to them, Today this word has come true in your hearing.
Lukas 4:22 Und sie gaben alle Zeugnis von ihm und wunderten sich der holdseligen Worte, die aus seinem Munde gingen, und sprachen: "Ist das nicht Josephs Sohn?"	Luke 4:22 And they were all giving witness, with wonder, to the words of grace which came from his mouth: and they said, Is not this the son of Joseph?
Lukas 4:23 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Ihr werdet freilich zu mir sagen dies Sprichwort: Arzt, hilf dir selber! Denn wie große Dinge haben wir gehört, zu Kapernaum geschehen! Tue also auch hier, in deiner Vaterstadt.	Luke 4:23 And he said to them, Without doubt you will say to me, Let the medical man make himself well: the things which to our knowledge were done at Capernaum, do them here in your country.
Lukas 4:24 Er sprach aber: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: "Kein Prophet ist angenehm in seinem Vaterlande.	Luke 4:24 And he said to them, Truly I say to you, No prophet is honoured in his country.
Lukas 4:25 Aber in der Wahrheit sage ich euch: Es waren viele Witwen in Israel zu Elia's Zeiten, da der Himmel verschlossen war drei Jahre und sechs Monate, da eine große Teuerung war im ganzen Lande	Luke 4:25 Truly I say to you, There were a number of widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months and there was no food in the land;
Lukas 4:26 und zu deren keiner ward Elia gesandt denn allein gen Sarepta der Sidonier zu einer Witwe.	Luke 4:26 But Elijah was not sent to one of them, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
Lukas 4:27 Und viele Aussätzige waren in Israel zu des Propheten Elisa Zeiten; und deren keiner wurde gereinigt denn allein Naeman aus Syrien.	Luke 4:27 And there were a number of lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and not one of them was made clean, but only Naaman the Syrian.
Lukas 4:28 Und sie wurden voll Zorns alle, die in der Schule waren, da sie das hörten,	Luke 4:28 And all who were in the Synagogue were very angry when these things were said to them.
Lukas 4:29 und standen auf und stießen ihn zur Stadt hinaus und führten ihn auf einen Hügel des Berges, darauf ihre Stadt gebaut war, daß sie ihn hinabstürzten.	Luke 4:29 And they got up and took him out of the town to the edge of the mountain on which their town was, so that they might send him down to his death.
Lukas 4:30 Aber er ging mitten durch sie hinweg.	Luke 4:30 But he came through them and went on his way.
Lukas 4:31 Und er kam gen Kapernaum, in die Stadt Galiläas, und lehrte sie am Sabbat.	Luke 4:31 And he came down to Capernaum, a town of Galilee; and he was giving them teaching on the Sabbath.
Lukas 4:32 Und sie verwunderten sich seiner Lehre; denn seine Rede war gewaltig.	Luke 4:32 And they were surprised at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
Lukas 4:33 Und es war ein Mensch in der Schule, besessen mit einem unsauberen Teufel; der schrie laut	Luke 4:33 And there was a man in the Synagogue who had an unclean spirit; and he gave a loud cry and said,
Lukas 4:34 und sprach: Halt, was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus von Nazareth? Du bist gekommen uns zu verderben. Ich weiß wer du bist: der heilige Gottes.	Luke 4:34 Let us be! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? have you come to put an end to us? I have knowledge who you are, the Holy One of God.
Lukas 4:35 Und Jesus bedrohte ihn und sprach: Verstumme und fahre aus von ihm! Und der Teufel warf ihn mitten unter sie und fuhr von ihm aus und tat ihm keinen Schaden.	Luke 4:35 And Jesus said to him, Be quiet, and come out of him. And when the evil spirit had put him down on the earth in the middle of them, he came out of him, having done him no damage.
Lukas 4:36 Und es kam eine Furcht über sie alle, und redeten miteinander und sprachen: Was ist das für ein Ding? Er gebietet mit Macht und Gewalt den unsauberen Geistern, und sie fahren aus.	Luke 4:36 And wonder came on them all and they said to one another, What are these words? for with authority and power he gives orders to the evil spirits and they come out.
Lukas 4:37 Und es erscholl sein Gerücht in alle Örter des umliegenden Landes.	Luke 4:37 And there was much talk about him in all the places round about.
Lukas 4:38 Und er stand auf aus der Schule und kam in Simons Haus. Und Simons Schwiegermutter war mit einem harten Fieber behaftet; und sie baten ihn für sie.	Luke 4:38 And he got up and went out of the Synagogue and went into the house of Simon. And Simon's wife's mother was very ill with a burning heat; and in answer to their prayers for her
Lukas 4:39 Und er trat zu ihr und gebot dem Fieber, und es verließ sie. Und alsbald stand sie auf und diente ihnen.	Luke 4:39 He went near her, and with a sharp word he gave orders to the disease and it went away from her; and straight away she got up and took care of their needs.
Lukas 4:40 Und da die Sonne untergegangen war, brachten alle, die Kranke hatten mit mancherlei Seuchen, sie zu ihm. Und er legte auf einen jeglichen die Hände und machte sie gesund.	Luke 4:40 And at sundown all those who had anyone ill with any sort of disease, took them to him, and he put his hands on every one of them and made them well.
Lukas 4:41 Es fuhren auch die Teufel aus von vielen, schrieen und sprachen: Du bist Christus, der Sohn Gottes! Und er bedrohte sie und ließ sie nicht reden; denn sie wußten, daß er Christus war.	Luke 4:41 And evil spirits came out of a number of them, crying out and saying, You are the Son of God. But he gave them sharp orders not to say a word, because they had knowledge that he was the Christ.
Lukas 4:42 Da es aber Tag ward, ging er hinaus an eine wüste Stätte; und das Volk suchte ihn, und sie kamen zu ihm und hielten ihn auf, daß er nicht von ihnen ginge.	Luke 4:42 And when it was day, he came out and went to a waste place; and great numbers of people came looking for him, and they came to him and would have kept him from going away.
Lukas 4:43 Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Ich muß auch andern Städten das Evangelium verkündigen vom Reiche Gottes; denn dazu bin ich gesandt.	Luke 4:43 But he said to them, I have to give the good news of the kingdom of God in other towns, because that is why I was sent.
Lukas 4:44 Und er predigte in den Schulen Galiläas.	Luke 4:44 And he was teaching in the Synagogues of Galilee.
