Matthäus 1:1 Dies ist das Buch von der Geburt Jesu Christi, der da ist ein Sohn Davids, des Sohnes Abrahams.	Matthew 1:1 The book of the generations of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Matthäus 1:2 Abraham zeugte Isaak. Isaak zeugte Jakob. Jakob zeugte Juda und seine Brüder.	Matthew 1:2 The son of Abraham was Isaac; and the son of Isaac was Jacob; and the sons of Jacob were Judah and his brothers;
Matthäus 1:3 Juda zeugte Perez und Serah von Thamar. Perez zeugte Hezron. Hezron zeugte Ram.	Matthew 1:3 And the sons of Judah were Perez and Zerah by Tamar; and the son of Perez was Hezron; and the son of Hezron was Ram;
Matthäus 1:4 Ram zeugte Amminadab. Amminadab zeugte Nahesson. Nahesson zeugte Salma.	Matthew 1:4 And the son of Ram was Amminadab; and the son of Amminadab was Nahshon; and the son of Nahshon was Salmon;
Matthäus 1:5 Salma zeugte Boas von der Rahab. Boas zeugte Obed von der Ruth. Obed zeugte Jesse.	Matthew 1:5 And the son of Salmon by Rahab was Boaz; and the son of Boaz by Ruth was Obed; and the son of Obed was Jesse;
Matthäus 1:6 Jesse zeugte den König David. Der König David zeugte Salomo von dem Weib des Uria.	Matthew 1:6 And the son of Jesse was David the king; and the son of David was Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah;
Matthäus 1:7 Salomo zeugte Rehabeam. Rehabeam zeugte Abia. Abia zeugte Asa.	Matthew 1:7 And the son of Solomon was Rehoboam; and the son of Rehoboam was Abijah; and the son of Abijah was Asa;
Matthäus 1:8 Asa zeugte Josaphat. Josaphat zeugte Joram. Joram zeugte Usia.	Matthew 1:8 And the son of Asa was Jehoshaphat; and the son of Jehoshaphat was Joram; and the son of Joram was Uzziah;
Matthäus 1:9 Usia zeugte Jotham. Jotham zeugte Ahas. Ahas zeugte Hiskia.	Matthew 1:9 And the son of Uzziah was Jotham; and the son of Jotham was Ahaz; and the son of Ahaz was Hezekiah;
Matthäus 1:10 Hiskia zeugte Manasse. Manasse zeugte Amon. Amon zeugte Josia.	Matthew 1:10 And the son of Hezekiah was Manasseh; and the son of Manasseh was Amon; and the son of Amon was Josiah;
Matthäus 1:11 Josia zeugte Jechonja und seine Brüder um die Zeit der babylonischen Gefangenschaft.	Matthew 1:11 And the sons of Josiah were Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the taking away to Babylon.
Matthäus 1:12 Nach der babylonischen Gefangenschaft zeugte Jechonja Sealthiel. Sealthiel zeugte Serubabel.	Matthew 1:12 And after the taking away to Babylon, Jechoniah had a son Shealtiel; and Shealtiel had Zerubbabel;
Matthäus 1:13 Serubabel zeugte Abiud. Abiud zeugte Eliakim. Eliakim zeugte Asor.	Matthew 1:13 And Zerubbabel had Abiud; and Abiud had Eliakim; and Eliakim had Azor;
Matthäus 1:14 Asor zeugte Zadok. Zadok zeugte Achim. Achim zeugte Eliud.	Matthew 1:14 And Azor had Zadok; and Zadok had Achim; and Achim had Eliud;
Matthäus 1:15 Eliud zeugte Eleasar. Eleasar zeugte Matthan. Matthan zeugte Jakob.	Matthew 1:15 And Eliud had Eleazar; and Eleazar had Matthan; and Matthan had Jacob;
Matthäus 1:16 Jakob zeugte Joseph, den Mann Marias, von welcher ist geboren Jesus, der da heißt Christus.	Matthew 1:16 And the son of Jacob was Joseph the husband of Mary, who gave birth to Jesus, whose name is Christ.
Matthäus 1:17 Alle Glieder von Abraham bis auf David sind vierzehn Glieder. Von David bis auf die Gefangenschaft sind vierzehn Glieder. Von der babylonischen Gefangenschaft bis auf Christus sind vierzehn Glieder.	Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the taking away to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the taking away to Babylon to the coming of Christ, fourteen generations.
Matthäus 1:18 Die Geburt Christi war aber also getan. Als Maria, seine Mutter, dem Joseph vertraut war, fand sich's ehe er sie heimholte, daß sie schwanger war von dem heiligen Geist.	Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: when his mother Mary was going to be married to Joseph, before they came together the discovery was made that she was with child by the Holy Spirit.
Matthäus 1:19 Joseph aber, ihr Mann, war fromm und wollte sie nicht in Schande bringen, gedachte aber, sie heimlich zu verlassen.	Matthew 1:19 And Joseph, her husband, being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public example, had a mind to put her away privately.
Matthäus 1:20 Indem er aber also gedachte, siehe, da erschien ihm ein Engel des HERRN im Traum und sprach: Joseph, du Sohn Davids, fürchte dich nicht, Maria, dein Gemahl, zu dir zu nehmen; denn das in ihr geboren ist, das ist von dem heiligen Geist.	Matthew 1:20 But when he was giving thought to these things, an angel of the Lord came to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, have no fear of taking Mary as your wife; because that which is in her body is of the Holy Spirit.
Matthäus 1:21 Und sie wird einen Sohn gebären, des Namen sollst du Jesus heißen; denn er wird sein Volk selig machen von ihren Sünden.	Matthew 1:21 And she will give birth to a son; and you will give him the name Jesus; for he will give his people salvation from their sins.
Matthäus 1:22 Das ist aber alles geschehen, auf daß erfüllt würde, was der HERR durch den Propheten gesagt hat, der da spricht:	Matthew 1:22 Now all this took place so that the word of the Lord by the prophet might come true,
Matthäus 1:23 "Siehe, eine Jungfrau wird schwanger sein und einen Sohn gebären, und sie werden seinen Namen Immanuel heißen", das ist verdolmetscht: Gott mit uns.	Matthew 1:23 See, the virgin will be with child, and will give birth to a son, and they will give him the name Immanuel, that is, God with us.
Matthäus 1:24 Da nun Joseph vom Schlaf erwachte, tat er, wie ihm des HERRN Engel befohlen hatte, und nahm sein Gemahl zu sich.	Matthew 1:24 And Joseph did as the angel of the Lord had said to him, and took her as his wife;
Matthäus 1:25 Und er erkannte sie nicht, bis sie ihren ersten Sohn gebar; und hieß seinen Namen Jesus.	Matthew 1:25 And he had no connection with her till she had given birth to a son; and he gave him the name Jesus.
