Matthäus 27:1 Des Morgens aber hielten alle Hohenpriester und die Ältesten des Volks einen Rat über Jesus, daß sie ihn töteten.	Matthew 27:1 Now when it was morning, all the chief priests and those in authority took thought together with the purpose of putting Jesus to death.
Matthäus 27:2 Und banden ihn, führten ihn hin und überantworteten ihn dem Landpfleger Pontius Pilatus.	Matthew 27:2 And they put cords on him and took him away, and gave him up to Pilate, the ruler.
Matthäus 27:3 Da das sah Judas, der ihn verraten hatte, daß er verdammt war zum Tode, gereute es ihn, und brachte wieder die dreißig Silberlinge den Hohenpriestern und den Ältesten	Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, who was false to him, seeing that he was to be put to death, in his regret took back the thirty bits of silver to the chief priests and those in authority,
Matthäus 27:4 und sprach: Ich habe übel getan, daß ich unschuldig Blut verraten habe.	Matthew 27:4 Saying, I have done wrong in giving into your hands an upright man. But they said, What is that to us? it is your business.
Matthäus 27:5 Sie sprachen: Was geht uns das an? Da siehe du zu! Und er warf die Silberlinge in den Tempel, hob sich davon, ging hin und erhängte sich selbst.	Matthew 27:5 And he put down the silver in the Temple and went out, and put himself to death by hanging.
Matthäus 27:6 Aber die Hohenpriester nahmen die Silberlinge und sprachen: Es taugt nicht, daß wir sie in den Gotteskasten legen, denn es ist Blutgeld.	Matthew 27:6 And the chief priests took the silver and said, It is not right to put it in the Temple store for it is the price of blood.
Matthäus 27:7 Sie hielten aber einen Rat und kauften den Töpfersacker darum zum Begräbnis der Pilger.	Matthew 27:7 And they made a decision to get with the silver the potter's field, as a place for the dead of other countries.
Matthäus 27:8 Daher ist dieser Acker genannt der Blutacker bis auf den heutigen Tag.	Matthew 27:8 For this cause that field was named, The field of blood, to this day.
Matthäus 27:9 Da ist erfüllt, was gesagt ist durch den Propheten Jeremia, da er spricht: "Sie haben genommen dreißig Silberlinge, damit bezahlt war der Verkaufte, welchen sie kauften von den Kindern Israel,	Matthew 27:9 Then came true that which was said by Jeremiah the prophet, And they took the thirty bits of silver, the price of him who was valued by the children of Israel;
Matthäus 27:10 und haben sie gegeben um den Töpfersacker, wie mir der HERR befohlen hat."	Matthew 27:10 And they gave them for the potter's field, as I had word from the Lord.
Matthäus 27:11 Jesus aber stand vor dem Landpfleger; und der Landpfleger fragte ihn und sprach: Bist du der Juden König? Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Du sagst es.	Matthew 27:11 And Jesus was before the ruler, who put a question to him, Are you the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, You say so.
Matthäus 27:12 Und da er verklagt ward von den Hohenpriestern und Ältesten, antwortete er nicht.	Matthew 27:12 But when the chief priests and those in authority made statements against him, he gave no answer.
Matthäus 27:13 Da sprach Pilatus zu ihm: Hörst du nicht, wie hart sie dich verklagen?	Matthew 27:13 Then says Pilate to him, Do you give no attention to what their witnesses say against you?
Matthäus 27:14 Und er antwortete ihm nicht auf ein Wort, also daß der Landpfleger sich verwunderte.	Matthew 27:14 And he gave him no answer, not even a word: so that the ruler was greatly surprised.
Matthäus 27:15 Auf das Fest aber hatte der Landpfleger die Gewohnheit, dem Volk einen Gefangenen loszugeben, welchen sie wollten.	Matthew 27:15 Now at the feast it was the way for the ruler to let free to the people one prisoner, at their selection.
Matthäus 27:16 Er hatte aber zu der Zeit einen Gefangenen, einen sonderlichen vor anderen, der hieß Barabbas.	Matthew 27:16 And they had then an important prisoner, whose name was Barabbas.
Matthäus 27:17 Und da sie versammelt waren, sprach Pilatus zu ihnen: Welchen wollt ihr, daß ich euch losgebe? Barabbas oder Jesus, von dem gesagt wird, er sei Christus?	Matthew 27:17 So when they came together, Pilate said to them, Whom will you have? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is named Christ?
Matthäus 27:18 Denn er wußte wohl, daß sie ihn aus Neid überantwortet hatten.	Matthew 27:18 For he saw that for envy they had given him up.
Matthäus 27:19 Und da er auf dem Richtstuhl saß, schickte sein Weib zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Habe du nichts zu schaffen mit diesem Gerechten; ich habe heute viel erlitten im Traum seinetwegen.	Matthew 27:19 And while he was on the judge's seat, his wife sent to him, saying, Have nothing to do with that upright man, for I have had much trouble this day in a dream because of him.
Matthäus 27:20 Aber die Hohenpriester und die Ältesten überredeten das Volk, daß sie um Barabbas bitten sollten und Jesus umbrächten.	Matthew 27:20 Now the chief priests and those in authority got the people to make request for Barabbas, and for Jesus to be put to death.
Matthäus 27:21 Da antwortete nun der Landpfleger und sprach zu ihnen: Welchen wollt ihr unter diesen zweien, den ich euch soll losgeben? Sie sprachen: Barabbas.	Matthew 27:21 But the ruler made answer and said to them, Which of the two is it your pleasure that I let go free? And they said, Barabbas.
Matthäus 27:22 Pilatus sprach zu ihnen: Was soll ich denn machen mit Jesus, von dem gesagt wird er sei Christus? Sie sprachen alle: Laß ihn kreuzigen!	Matthew 27:22 Pilate says to them, What, then, am I to do with Jesus, who is named Christ? They all say, Let him be put to death on the cross.
Matthäus 27:23 Der Landpfleger sagte: Was hat er denn Übles getan? Sie schrieen aber noch mehr und sprachen: Laß ihn kreuzigen!	Matthew 27:23 And he said, Why, what evil has he done? But they gave loud cries, saying, To the cross with him!
Matthäus 27:24 Da aber Pilatus sah, daß er nichts schaffte, sondern daß ein viel größer Getümmel ward, nahm er Wasser und wusch die Hände vor dem Volk und sprach: Ich bin unschuldig an dem Blut dieses Gerechten, sehet ihr zu!	Matthew 27:24 So when Pilate saw that he was able to do nothing, but that trouble was working up, he took water and, washing his hands before the people, said, The blood of this upright man is not on my hands: you are responsible.
Matthäus 27:25 Da antwortete das ganze Volk und sprach: Sein Blut komme über uns und unsere Kinder.	Matthew 27:25 And all the people made answer and said, Let his blood be on us, and on our children.
Matthäus 27:26 Da gab er ihnen Barabbas los; aber Jesus ließ er geißeln und überantwortete ihn, daß er gekreuzigt würde.	Matthew 27:26 Then he let Barabbas go free: but after having Jesus whipped, he gave him up to be put to death on the cross.
Matthäus 27:27 Da nahmen die Kriegsknechte des Landpflegers Jesus zu sich in das Richthaus und sammelten über ihn die ganze Schar	Matthew 27:27 Then the ruler's armed men took Jesus into the open square, and got all their band together.
Matthäus 27:28 und zogen ihn aus und legten ihm einen Purpurmantel an	Matthew 27:28 And they took off his clothing, and put on him a red robe.
Matthäus 27:29 und flochten eine Dornenkrone und setzten sie auf sein Haupt und ein Rohr in seine rechte Hand und beugten die Kniee vor ihm und verspotteten ihn und sprachen: Gegrüßet seist du, der Juden König!	Matthew 27:29 And they made a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and put a rod in his right hand, and they went down on their knees before him, and made sport of him, saying, Long life to the King of the Jews.
Matthäus 27:30 und spieen ihn an und nahmen das Rohr und schlugen damit sein Haupt.	Matthew 27:30 And they put shame on him, and gave him blows on the head with the rod.
Matthäus 27:31 Und da sie ihn verspottet hatten, zogen sie ihm seine Kleider an und führten ihn hin, daß sie ihn kreuzigten.	Matthew 27:31 And when they had made sport of him, they took the robe off him, and put his clothing on him, and took him away to put him on the cross.
Matthäus 27:32 Und indem sie hinausgingen, fanden sie einen Menschen von Kyrene mit Namen Simon; den zwangen sie, daß er ihm sein Kreuz trug.	Matthew 27:32 And while they were coming out, they saw a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they made him go with them, so that he might take up his cross.
Matthäus 27:33 Und da sie an die Stätte kamen mit Namen Golgatha, das ist verdeutscht Schädelstätte,	Matthew 27:33 And when they came to the place named Golgotha, that is to say, Dead Man's Head,
Matthäus 27:34 gaben sie ihm Essig zu trinken mit Galle vermischt; und da er's schmeckte, wollte er nicht trinken.	Matthew 27:34 They gave him wine mixed with bitter drink: and after tasting it, he took no more.
Matthäus 27:35 Da sie ihn aber gekreuzigt hatten, teilten sie seine Kleider und warfen das Los darum, auf daß erfüllet würde, was gesagt ist durch den Propheten: "Sie haben meine Kleider unter sich geteilt, und über mein Gewand haben sie das Los geworfen."	Matthew 27:35 And when they had put him on the cross, they made division of his clothing among them by the decision of chance.
Matthäus 27:36 Und sie saßen allda und hüteten sein.	Matthew 27:36 And they were seated there watching him.
Matthäus 27:37 Und oben zu seinen Häupten setzten sie die Ursache seines Todes, und war geschrieben: Dies ist Jesus, der Juden König.	Matthew 27:37 And they put up over his head the statement of his crime in writing, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Matthäus 27:38 Und da wurden zwei Mörder mit ihm gekreuzigt, einer zur Rechten und einer zur Linken.	Matthew 27:38 Then two thieves were put on crosses with him, one on the right and one on the left.
Matthäus 27:39 Die aber vorübergingen, lästerten ihn und schüttelten ihre Köpfe	Matthew 27:39 And those who went by said bitter words to him, shaking their heads and saying,
Matthäus 27:40 und sprachen: Der du den Tempel Gottes zerbrichst und baust ihn in drei Tagen, hilf dir selber! Bist du Gottes Sohn, so steig herab von Kreuz.	Matthew 27:40 You who would give the Temple to destruction and put it up again in three days, get yourself free: if you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.
Matthäus 27:41 Desgleichen auch die Hohenpriester spotteten sein samt den Schriftgelehrten und Ältesten und sprachen:	Matthew 27:41 In the same way, the chief priests, making sport of him, with the scribes and those in authority, said,
Matthäus 27:42 Andern hat er geholfen, und kann sich selber nicht helfen. Ist er der König Israels, so steige er nun vom Kreuz, so wollen wir ihm glauben.	Matthew 27:42 A saviour of others, he has no salvation for himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will have faith in him.
Matthäus 27:43 Er hat Gott vertraut; der erlöse ihn nun, hat er Lust zu ihm; denn er hat gesagt: Ich bin Gottes Sohn.	Matthew 27:43 He put his faith in God; let God be his saviour now, if he will have him; for he said, I am the Son of God.
Matthäus 27:44 Desgleichen schmähten ihn auch die Mörder, die mit ihm gekreuzigt waren.	Matthew 27:44 And the thieves who were on the crosses said evil words to him.
Matthäus 27:45 Und von der sechsten Stunde an ward eine Finsternis über das ganze Land bis zu der neunten Stunde.	Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour it was dark over all the land till the ninth hour.
Matthäus 27:46 Und um die neunte Stunde schrie Jesus laut und sprach: Eli, Eli, lama asabthani? das heißt: Mein Gott, mein Gott, warum hast du mich verlassen?	Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus gave a loud cry, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why are you turned away from me?
Matthäus 27:47 Etliche aber, die dastanden, da sie das hörten, sprachen sie: Der ruft den Elia.	Matthew 27:47 And some of those who were near by, hearing it, said, This man is crying to Elijah.
Matthäus 27:48 Und alsbald lief einer unter ihnen, nahm einen Schwamm und füllte ihn mit Essig und steckte ihn an ein Rohr und tränkte ihn.	Matthew 27:48 And straight away one of them went quickly, and took a sponge, and made it full of bitter wine, and put it on a rod and gave him drink.
Matthäus 27:49 Die andern aber sprachen: Halt, laß sehen, ob Elia komme und ihm helfe.	Matthew 27:49 And the rest said, Let him be; let us see if Elijah will come to his help.
Matthäus 27:50 Aber Jesus schrie abermals laut und verschied.	Matthew 27:50 And Jesus gave another loud cry, and gave up his spirit.
Matthäus 27:51 Und siehe da, der Vorhang im Tempel zerriß in zwei Stücke von obenan bis untenaus.	Matthew 27:51 And the curtain of the Temple was parted in two from end to end; and there was an earth-shock; and the rocks were broken;
Matthäus 27:52 Und die Erde erbebte, und die Felsen zerrissen, die Gräber taten sich auf, und standen auf viele Leiber der Heiligen, die da schliefen,	Matthew 27:52 And the resting-places of the dead came open; and the bodies of a number of sleeping saints came to life;
Matthäus 27:53 und gingen aus den Gräbern nach seiner Auferstehung und kamen in die heilige Stadt und erschienen vielen.	Matthew 27:53 And coming out of their resting-places, after he had come again from the dead, they went into the holy town and were seen by a number of people.
Matthäus 27:54 Aber der Hauptmann und die bei ihm waren und bewahrten Jesus, da sie sahen das Erdbeben und was da geschah, erschraken sie sehr und sprachen: Wahrlich dieser ist Gottes Sohn gewesen!	Matthew 27:54 Now the captain and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earth-shock and the things which were done, were in great fear and said, Truly this was a son of God.
Matthäus 27:55 Und es waren viele Weiber da, die von ferne zusahen, die da Jesus waren nachgefolgt aus Galiläa und hatten ihm gedient;	Matthew 27:55 And a number of women were there, watching from a distance, who had come with Jesus from Galilee, waiting on his needs.
Matthäus 27:56 unter welchen war Maria Magdalena und Maria, die Mutter der Kinder des Zebedäus.	Matthew 27:56 Among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary, the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
Matthäus 27:57 Am Abend aber kam ein reicher Mann von Arimathia, der hieß Joseph, welcher auch ein Jünger Jesu war.	Matthew 27:57 And in the evening, there came a man of wealth from Arimathaea, Joseph by name, who was a disciple of Jesus:
Matthäus 27:58 Der ging zu Pilatus und bat ihn um den Leib Jesus. Da befahl Pilatus man sollte ihm ihn geben.	Matthew 27:58 This man went in to Pilate, and made a request for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate gave orders for it to be given to him.
Matthäus 27:59 Und Joseph nahm den Leib und wickelte ihn in eine reine Leinwand	Matthew 27:59 And Joseph took the body, folding it in clean linen,
Matthäus 27:60 und legte ihn in sein eigenes Grab, welches er hatte lassen in einen Fels hauen, und wälzte einen großen Stein vor die Tür des Grabes und ging davon.	Matthew 27:60 And put it in the resting-place which had been cut out of the rock for himself; and after rolling a great stone to the door of it he went away.
Matthäus 27:61 Es war aber allda Maria Magdalena und die andere Maria, die setzten sich gegen das Grab.	Matthew 27:61 And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, seated by the place of the dead.
Matthäus 27:62 Des andern Tages, der da folgt nach dem Rüsttage, kamen die Hohenpriester und Pharisäer sämtlich zu Pilatus	Matthew 27:62 Now on the day after the getting ready of the Passover, the chief priests and Pharisees came together to Pilate,
Matthäus 27:63 und sprachen: Herr, wir haben gedacht, daß dieser Verführer sprach, da er noch lebte: Ich will nach drei Tagen auferstehen.	Matthew 27:63 Saying, Sir, we have in mind how that false man said, while he was still living, After three days I will come again from the dead.
Matthäus 27:64 Darum befiehl, daß man das Grab verwahre bis an den dritten Tag, auf daß nicht seine Jünger kommen und stehlen ihn und sagen dem Volk: Er ist auferstanden von den Toten, und werde der letzte Betrug ärger denn der erste.	Matthew 27:64 Give orders, then, that the place where his body is may be made safe till the third day, for fear that his disciples come and take him away secretly and say to the people, He has come back from the dead: and the last error will be worse than the first.
Matthäus 27:65 Pilatus sprach zu ihnen: Da habt ihr die Hüter; gehet hin und verwahret, wie ihr wisset.	Matthew 27:65 Pilate said to them, You have watchmen; go and make it as safe as you are able.
Matthäus 27:66 Sie gingen hin und verwahrten das Grab mit Hütern und versiegelten den Stein.	Matthew 27:66 So they went, and made safe the place where his body was, putting a stamp on the stone, and the watchmen were with them.
