Psalms 43
|
Be my judge, O God, supporting my cause against a nation without religion; O keep me from the false and evil man. | Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. |
You are the God of my strength; why have you put me from you? why do I go in sorrow because of the attacks of my haters? | For thou art the God of my strength; why hast thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? |
O send out your light and your true word; let them be my guide: let them take me to your holy hill, and to your tents. | Oh send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me: Let them bring me unto thy holy hill, And to thy tabernacles. |
Then I will go up to the altar of God, to the God of my joy; I will be glad and give praise to you on an instrument of music, O God, my God. | Then will I go unto the altar of God, Unto God my exceeding joy; And upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God. |
Why are you crushed down, O my soul? and why are you troubled in me? put your hope in God, for I will again give him praise who is my help and my God. | Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, [Who is] the help of my countenance, and my God. |
