Psalms 95
|
O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation. | Oh come, let us sing unto Jehovah; Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. |
Let us come before his face with praises; and make melody with holy songs. | Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; Let us make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. |
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King over all gods. | For Jehovah is a great God, And a great King above all gods. |
The deep places of the earth are in his hand; and the tops of the mountains are his. | In his hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the mountains are his also. |
The sea is his, and he made it; and the dry land was formed by his hands. | The sea is his, and he made it; And his hands formed the dry land. |
O come, let us give worship, falling down on our knees before the Lord our Maker. | Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before Jehovah our Maker: |
For he is our God; and we are the people to whom he gives food, and the sheep of his flock. Today, if you would only give ear to his voice! | For he is our God, And we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To-day, oh that ye would hear his voice! |
Let not your hearts be hard, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the waste land; | Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, As in the day of Massah in the wilderness; |
When your fathers put me to the test and saw my power and my work. | When your fathers tempted me, Proved me, and saw my work. |
For forty years I was angry with this generation, and said, They are a people whose hearts are turned away from me, for they have no knowledge of my ways; | Forty years long was I grieved with [that] generation, And said, It is a people that do err in their heart, And they have not known my ways: |
And I made an oath in my wrath, that they might not come into my place of rest. | Wherefore I sware in my wrath, That they should not enter into my rest. Psalm 96 |
