John 3	Juan 3
John 3:1 Now there was among the Pharisees a man named Nicodemus, who was one of the rulers of the Jews.	Juan 3:1 Ug dihay usa ka tawo sa mga Fariseo, nga ginganlan si Nicodemo, nga punoan sa mga Judio.
John 3:2 He came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi, we are certain that you have come from God as a teacher, because no man would be able to do these signs which you do if God was not with him.	Juan 3:2 Kining tawhana miadto kang Jesus sa takna sa kagabhion ug miingon kaniya, "Rabi, kami nasayud nga ikaw maoy usa ka magtutudlo nga gikan sa Dios, kay wala gayuy makahimo niining mga milagro nga imong gipangbuhat gawas lamang kon ang Dios anaa uban kaniya."
John 3:3 Jesus said to him, Truly, I say to you, Without a new birth no man is able to see the kingdom of God.	Juan 3:3 Ug si Jesus mitubag kaniya, "Sa pagkatinuod, sa pagkatinuod, magaingon ako kanimo, gawas kon ang tawo igaanak pag-usab, dili siya makakita sa gingharian sa Dios."
John 3:4 Nicodemus said to him, How is it possible for a man to be given birth when he is old? Is he able to go into his mother's body a second time and come to birth again?	Juan 3:4 Ug si Nicodemo nangutana kaniya, "Unsaon man pagkahimo nga igaanak ang tawo sa tigulang na siya? Makasulod pa ba siya pag-usab sa taguangkan sa iyang inahan ug mahimugso?"
John 3:5 Jesus said in answer, Truly, I say to you, If a man's birth is not from water and from the Spirit, it is not possible for him to go into the kingdom of God.	Juan 3:5 Ug si Jesus mitubag, "Sa pagkatinuod, sa pagkatinuod, magaingon ako kanimo, gawas kon ang tawo igaanak sa tubig ug sa Espiritu, dili siya makasulod sa gingharian sa Dios.
John 3:6 That which has birth from the flesh is flesh, and that which has birth from the Spirit is spirit.	Juan 3:6 Ang gianak sa unod, unod man; ug ang gianak sa Espiritu, espirutu man.
John 3:7 Do not be surprised that I say to you, It is necessary for you to have a second birth.	Juan 3:7 Ayaw ikahibulong ang akong pag-ingon kanimo, `Kinahanglan nga igaanak kamo pag-usab.`
John 3:8 The wind goes where its pleasure takes it, and the sound of it comes to your ears, but you are unable to say where it comes from and where it goes: so it is with everyone whose birth is from the Spirit.	Juan 3:8 Ang hangin bitaw mohuros man ngadto sa buot niyang padulngan, ug mabati mo ang iyang tingog; ngani dili nimo mahibaloan diin siya gikan o asa siya padulong. Maingon usab niana ang tanan nga gianak sa Espiritu."
John 3:9 And Nicodemus said to him, How is it possible for these things to be?	Juan 3:9 Si Nicodemo miingon kaniya, "Unsaon man pagkahimo niini?"
John 3:10 And Jesus, answering, said, Are you the teacher of Israel and have no knowledge of these things?	Juan 3:10 Ug si Jesus mitubag kaniya, "Wala ka ba diay makasabut niini, nga magtutudlo ka man unta sa Israel?
John 3:11 Truly, I say to you, We say that of which we have knowledge; we give witness of what we have seen; and you do not take our witness to be true.	Juan 3:11 Sa pagkatinuod, sa pagkatinuod, magaingon ako kanimo, nga kami nagasulti sa among nahibaloan ug nagapanghimatuod sa among nakita, apan kamo wala modawat sa among pamatuod.
John 3:12 If you have no belief when my words are about the things of earth, how will you have belief if my words are about the things of heaven?	Juan 3:12 Kon dili kamo motoo sa yutan-ong mga butang nga akong gisugilon kaninyo, unsaon man ninyo sa pagtoo kon suginlan ko kamog langitnong mga butang?
John 3:13 And no one has ever gone up to heaven but he who came down from heaven, the Son of man.	Juan 3:13 Walay nakasaka ngadto sa langit gawas lamang kaniya nga nanaug gikan sa langit, nga mao ang Anak sa Tawo nga anaa sa langit.
John 3:14 As the snake was lifted up by Moses in the waste land, even so it is necessary for the Son of man to be lifted up:	Juan 3:14 Ug maingon nga ang halas giisa ni Moises didto sa kamingawan, maingon man usab kinahanglan igaisa ang Anak sa Tawo,
John 3:15 So that whoever has faith may have in him eternal life.	Juan 3:15 aron ang tanan nga mosalig kaniya makabaton sa kinabuhing dayon."
John 3:16 For God had such love for the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever has faith in him may not come to destruction but have eternal life.	Juan 3:16 Kay gihigugma gayud sa Dios ang kalibutan nga tungod niana gihatag niya ang iyang bugtong Anak, aron ang tanan nga mosalig kaniya dili malaglag, kondili may kinabuhing dayon.
John 3:17 God did not send his Son into the world to be judge of the world; he sent him so that the world might have salvation through him.	Juan 3:17 Kay gipadala sa Dios ang iyang Anak nganhi sa kalibutan, dili aron ang kalibutan iyang pagahukman sa silot, kondili aron ang kalibutan maluwas pinaagi kaniya.
John 3:18 The man who has faith in him does not come up to be judged; but he who has no faith in him has been judged even now, because he has no faith in the name of the only Son of God.	Juan 3:18 Ang mosalig kaniya dili pagahukman sa silot; apan ang dili mosalig nahinukman na sa silot, kay wala man siya motoo sa ngalan sa bugtong Anak sa Dios.
John 3:19 And this is the test by which men are judged: the light has come into the world and men have more love for the dark than for the light, because their acts are evil.	Juan 3:19 Ug ang paghukom mao kini, nga ang kahayag mianhi sa kalibutan, ug ang kangitngit maoy gipalabi sa mga tawo sa paghigugma kay sa kahayag, kay dautan man ang ilang mga buhat.
John 3:20 The light is hated by everyone whose acts are evil and he does not come to the light for fear that his acts will be seen.	Juan 3:20 Kay ang tanan nga nagabuhat ug mangil-ad nagadumot sa kahayag, ug dili moduol sa kahayag, sa kahadlok nga tingali unya masuta ang ilang mga buhat.
John 3:21 But he whose life is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his acts have been done by the help of God.	Juan 3:21 Apan siya nga nagahimo sa matuod moduol sa kahayag, aron ikapadayag nga ang iyang mga buhat nangahimo diha sa Dios.
John 3:22 After these things Jesus and his disciples went into the land of Judaea, and there he was with them for some time, giving baptism.	Juan 3:22 Tapus niini si Jesus ug ang iyang mga tinun-an miadto sa kayutaan sa Judea, ug didto mipabilin siya uban kanila ug nagpangbautismo.
John 3:23 Now John was then giving baptism at Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there; and people came and were given baptism.	Juan 3:23 Ug si Juan usab nagpangbautismo didto sa Enon duol sa Salim, kay didto daghan man ang mga tubig; ug ang mga tawo nangadto ug gibautismohan sila.
John 3:24 For at this time John had not been put into prison.	Juan 3:24 Kay si Juan wala pa man ikabanlud sa bilanggoan.
John 3:25 Then a question came up between John's disciples and a Jew about washing.	Juan 3:25 Ug nahitabo nga ang mga tinun-an ni Juan may gipakiglalis nga usa ka Judio mahitungod sa pagpanghinlo.
John 3:26 And they went to John and said to him, Rabbi, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, the man to whom you gave witness, is now giving baptism, and everyone is going to him.	Juan 3:26 Ug sila miadto kang Juan ug miingon kaniya, "Rabi, kadtong tawo nga uban kanimo didto sa tabok sa Jordan, nga imo ganing gipanghimatud-an, kini siya ania karon dinhi nagapangbautismo, ug ang tanang tawo nanugok ngadto kaniya."
John 3:27 And this was John's answer: A man is unable to have anything if it is not given to him from heaven.	Juan 3:27 Ug si Juan mitubag, "Walay tawo nga makadawat ug bisan unsa gawas sa ihatag kaniya gikan sa langit.
John 3:28 You yourselves give witness that I said, I am not the Christ. What I said was, I am sent before the Christ.	Juan 3:28 Kamo gayud makapanghimatuod sa akong pag-ingon, nga ako dili mao ang Cristo, kondili nga gipadala ako sa pag-una kaniya.
John 3:29 He who has the bride is the husband: but the husband's friend, whose place is by his side and whose ears are open to him, is full of joy because of the husband's voice: such is my joy, and it is complete.	Juan 3:29 Ang naasawa iya sa nabana; ang higala sa nabana, nga nagatindog ug nagapatalinghug kaniya, kini siya nagakalipay ug daku tungod sa tingog sa nabana; busa kining akong kalipay hingpit na karon.
John 3:30 He has to become greater while I become less.	Juan 3:30 Siya kinahanglan magatubo, samtang ako kinahanglan magakunhod."
John 3:31 He who comes from heaven is greater than all others: he who comes from earth is of the earth, and of the earth are his words: he who comes from heaven is over all.	Juan 3:31 Siya nga gikan sa itaas, labaw sa tanan; siya nga gikan sa yuta iya sa yuta ug nagasulti pinasukad sa yuta. Siya nga gikan sa langit labaw sa tanan.
John 3:32 He gives witness of what he has seen and of what has come to his ears; and no man takes his witness as true.	Juan 3:32 Siya nagapanghimatuod sa iyang nakita ug nadungog, ngani walay midawat sa iyang panghimatuod.
John 3:33 He who so takes his witness has made clear his faith that God is true.	Juan 3:33 Ang magadawat sa iyang panghimatuod magabutang sa iyang timaan niini, nga ang Dios matinuoron.
John 3:34 For he whom God has sent says God's words; and God does not give him the Spirit by measure.	Juan 3:34 Kay siya nga gipadala sa Dios magasulti man sa mga pulong sa Dios, sanglit sa walay sukod ang Dios nagapanghatag man sa Espiritu.
John 3:35 The Father has love for the Son and has put all things into his hands.	Juan 3:35 Ang Amahan nagahigugma sa Anak, ug ang tanang mga butang gitugyan niya ngadto sa iyang kamot.
John 3:36 He who has faith in the Son has eternal life; but he who has not faith in the Son will not see life; God's wrath is resting on him.	Juan 3:36 Ang mosalig sa Anak may kinabuhi nga dayon; apan ang dili mosugot sa Anak dili makatilawg kinabuhi, hinonoa ang kapungot sa Dios magapabilin diha kaniya.
