約伯記 40
|
| Will he who is protesting give teaching to the Ruler of all? Let him who has arguments to put forward against God give an answer. | 耶 和 華 又 對 約 伯 說 、 |
| And Job said in answer to the Lord, | 強 辯 的 、 豈 可 與 全 能 者 爭 論 麼 ． 與 神 辯 駁 的 、 可 以 回 答 這 些 罷 。 |
| Truly, I am of no value; what answer may I give to you? I will put my hand on my mouth. | 於 是 約 伯 回 答 耶 和 華 說 、 |
| I have said once, and even twice, what was in my mind, but I will not do so again. | 我 是 卑 賤 的 ． 我 用 甚 麼 回 答 你 呢 ． 只 好 用 手 摀 口 。 |
| Then the Lord made answer to Job out of the storm-wind, and said, | 我 說 了 一 次 、 再 不 回 答 ． 說 了 兩 次 、 就 不 再 說 。 |
| Get your strength together like a man of war: I will put questions to you, and you will give me the answers. | 於 是 耶 和 華 從 旋 風 中 回 答 約 伯 、 說 、 |
| Will you even make my right of no value? will you say that I am wrong in order to make clear that you are right? | 你 要 如 勇 士 束 腰 ． 我 問 你 、 你 可 以 指 示 我 。 |
| Have you an arm like God? have you a voice of thunder like his? | 你 豈 可 廢 棄 我 所 擬 定 的 ． 豈 可 定 我 有 罪 、 好 顯 自 己 為 義 麼 。 |
| Put on the ornaments of your pride; be clothed with glory and power: | 你 有 神 那 樣 的 膀 臂 麼 ． 你 能 像 他 發 雷 聲 麼 。 |
| Let your wrath be overflowing; let your eyes see all the sons of pride, and make them low. | 你 要 以 榮 耀 莊 嚴 為 妝 飾 、 以 尊 榮 威 嚴 為 衣 服 ． |
| Send destruction on all who are lifted up, pulling down the sinners from their places. | 要 發 出 你 滿 溢 的 怒 氣 、 見 一 切 驕 傲 的 人 、 使 他 降 卑 ． |
| Let them be covered together in the dust; let their faces be dark in the secret place of the underworld. | 見 一 切 驕 傲 的 人 、 將 他 制 伏 、 把 惡 人 踐 踏 在 本 處 ． |
| Then I will give praise to you, saying that your right hand is able to give you salvation. | 將 他 們 一 同 隱 藏 在 塵 土 中 、 把 他 們 的 臉 蒙 蔽 在 隱 密 處 ． |
| See now the Great Beast, whom I made, even as I made you; he takes grass for food, like the ox. | 我 就 認 你 右 手 能 以 救 自 己 。 |
| His strength is in his body, and his force in the muscles of his stomach. | 你 且 觀 看 河 馬 ． 我 造 你 也 造 他 ． 他 喫 草 與 牛 一 樣 。 |
| His tail is curving like a cedar; the muscles of his legs are joined together. | 他 的 氣 力 在 腰 間 、 能 力 在 肚 腹 的 筋 上 。 |
| His bones are pipes of brass, his legs are like rods of iron. | 他 搖 動 尾 巴 如 香 柏 樹 ． 他 大 腿 的 筋 互 相 聯 絡 。 |
| He is the chief of the ways of God, made by him for his pleasure. | 他 的 骨 頭 好 像 銅 管 ． 他 的 肢 體 彷 彿 鐵 棍 。 |
| He takes the produce of the mountains, where all the beasts of the field are at play. | 他 在 神 所 造 的 物 中 為 首 ． 創 造 他 的 給 他 刀 劍 。 |
| He takes his rest under the trees of the river, and in the pool, under the shade of the water-plants. | 諸 山 給 他 出 食 物 、 也 是 百 獸 遊 玩 之 處 。 |
| He is covered by the branches of the trees; the grasses of the stream are round him. | 他 伏 在 蓮 葉 之 下 、 臥 在 蘆 葦 隱 密 處 、 和 水 窪 子 裡 。 |
| Truly, if the river is overflowing, it gives him no cause for fear; he has no sense of danger, even if Jordan is rushing against his mouth. | 蓮 葉 的 陰 涼 遮 蔽 他 、 溪 旁 的 柳 樹 環 繞 他 。 |
| Will anyone take him when he is on the watch, | 河 水 氾 濫 、 他 不 發 戰 、 就 是 約 但 河 的 水 漲 到 他 口 邊 、 也 是 安 然 。 |
| or put metal teeth through his nose? | 在 他 防 備 的 時 候 誰 能 捉 拿 他 、 誰 能 牢 籠 他 穿 他 的 鼻 子 呢 。 |
