Amos 2	Amos 2
Amos 2:1 These are the words of the Lord: For three crimes of Moab, and for four, I will not let its fate be changed; because he had the bones of the king of Edom burned to dust.	Amos 2:1 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: A cause de trois crimes de Moab, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu`il a brûlé, calciné les os du roi d`Édom.
Amos 2:2 And I will send a fire on Moab, burning up the great houses of Kerioth: and death will come on Moab with noise and outcries and the sound of the horn:	Amos 2:2 J`enverrai le feu dans Moab, Et il dévorera les palais de Kerijoth; Et Moab périra au milieu du tumulte, Au milieu des cris de guerre et du bruit de la trompette.
Amos 2:3 And I will have the judge cut off from among them, and all their captains I will put to death with him, says the Lord.	Amos 2:3 J`exterminerai de son sein le juge, Et je tuerai tous ses chefs avec lui, dit l`Éternel.
Amos 2:4 These are the words of the Lord: For three crimes of Judah, and for four, I will not let its fate be changed; because they have given up the law of the Lord, and have not kept his rules; and their false ways, in which their fathers went, have made them go out of the right way.	Amos 2:4 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: A cause de trois crimes de Juda, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu`ils ont méprisé la loi de l`Éternel Et qu`ils n`ont pas gardé ses ordonnances, Parce qu`ils ont été égarés par les idoles mensongères Après lesquelles leurs pères ont marché.
Amos 2:5 And I will send a fire on Judah, burning up the great houses of Jerusalem.	Amos 2:5 J`enverrai le feu dans Juda, Et il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem.
Amos 2:6 These are the words of the Lord: For three crimes of Israel, and for four, I will not let its fate be changed; because they have given the upright man for silver, and the poor for the price of two shoes;	Amos 2:6 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: A cause des trois crimes d`Israël, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu`ils ont vendu le juste pour de l`argent, Et le pauvre pour une paire de souliers.
Amos 2:7 Crushing the head of the poor, and turning the steps of the gentle out of the way: and a man and his father go in to the same young woman, putting shame on my holy name:	Amos 2:7 Ils aspirent à voir la poussière de la terre sur la tête des misérables, Et ils violent le droit des malheureux. Le fils et le père vont vers la même fille, Afin de profaner mon saint nom.
Amos 2:8 By every altar they are stretched on clothing taken from those who are in their debt, drinking in the house of their god the wine of those who have made payment for wrongdoing.	Amos 2:8 Ils s`étendent près de chaque autel sur des vêtements pris en gage, Et ils boivent dans la maison de leurs dieux le vin de ceux qu`ils condamnent.
Amos 2:9 Though I sent destruction on the Amorite before them, who was tall as the cedar and strong as the oak-tree, cutting off his fruit from on high and his roots from under the earth.	Amos 2:9 Et pourtant j`ai détruit devant eux les Amoréens, Dont la hauteur égalait celle des cèdres, Et la force celle des chênes; J`ai détruit leurs fruits en haut, Et leurs racines en bas.
Amos 2:10 And I took you up out of the land of Egypt, guiding you for forty years in the waste land, so that you might take for your heritage the land of the Amorite.	Amos 2:10 Et pourtant je vous ai fait monter du pays d`Égypte, Et je vous ai conduits quarante ans dans le désert, Pour vous mettre en possession du pays des Amoréens.
Amos 2:11 And some of your sons I made prophets, and some of your young men I made separate for myself. Is it not even so, O children of Israel? says the Lord.	Amos 2:11 J`ai suscité parmi vos fils des prophètes, Et parmi vos jeunes hommes des nazaréens. N`en est-il pas ainsi, enfants d`Israël? dit l`Éternel...
Amos 2:12 But to those who were separate you gave wine for drink; and to the prophets you said, Be prophets no longer.	Amos 2:12 Et vous avez fait boire du vin aux nazaréens! Et aux prophètes vous avez donné cet ordre: Ne prophétisez pas!
Amos 2:13 See, I am crushing you down, as one is crushed under a cart full of grain.	Amos 2:13 Voici, je vous écraserai, Comme foule la terre un chariot chargé de gerbes.
Amos 2:14 And flight will be impossible for the quick-footed, and the force of the strong will become feeble, and the man of war will not get away safely:	Amos 2:14 Celui qui est agile ne pourra fuir, Celui qui a de la force ne pourra s`en servir, Et l`homme vaillant ne sauvera pas sa vie;
Amos 2:15 And the bowman will not keep his place; he who is quick-footed will not get away safely: and the horseman will not keep his life.	Amos 2:15 Celui qui manie l`arc ne résistera pas, Celui qui a les pieds légers n`échappera pas, Et le cavalier ne sauvera pas sa vie;
Amos 2:16 And he who is without fear among the fighting men will go in flight without his clothing in that day, says the Lord.	Amos 2:16 Le plus courageux des guerriers S`enfuira nu dans ce jour-là, dit l`Éternel.
