Amos 3:1 Give ear to this word which the Lord has said against you, O children of Israel, against all the family which I took up out of the land of Egypt, saying,	Amos 3:1 Écoutez cette parole que l`Éternel prononce contre vous, enfants d`Israël, Contre toute la famille que j`ai fait monter du pays d`Égypte!
Amos 3:2 You only of all the families of the earth have I taken care of: for this reason I will send punishment on you for all your sins.	Amos 3:2 Je vous ai choisis, vous seuls parmi toutes les familles de la terre; C`est pourquoi je vous châtierai pour toutes vos iniquités.
Amos 3:3 Is it possible for two to go walking together, if not by agreement?	Amos 3:3 Deux hommes marchent-ils ensemble, Sans en être convenus?
Amos 3:4 Will a lion give his loud cry in the woodland when no food is there? will the voice of the young lion be sounding from his hole if he has taken nothing?	Amos 3:4 Le lion rugit-il dans la forêt, Sans avoir une proie? Le lionceau pousse-t-il des cris du fond de sa tanière, Sans avoir fait une capture?
Amos 3:5 Is it possible for a bird to be taken in a net on the earth where no net has been put for him? will the net come up from the earth if it has taken nothing at all?	Amos 3:5 L`oiseau tombe-t-il dans le filet qui est à terre, Sans qu`il y ait un piège? Le filet s`élève-t-il de terre, Sans qu`il y ait rien de pris?
Amos 3:6 If the horn is sounded in the town will the people not be full of fear? will evil come on a town if the Lord has not done it?	Amos 3:6 Sonne-t-on de la trompette dans une ville, Sans que le peuple soit dans l`épouvante? Arrive-t-il un malheur dans une ville, Sans que l`Éternel en soit l`auteur?
Amos 3:7 Certainly the Lord will do nothing without making clear his secret to his servants, the prophets.	Amos 3:7 Car le Seigneur, l`Éternel, ne fait rien Sans avoir révélé son secret à ses serviteurs les prophètes.
Amos 3:8 The cry of the lion is sounding; who will not have fear? The Lord God has said the word; is it possible for the prophet to keep quiet?	Amos 3:8 Le lion rugit: qui ne serait effrayé? Le Seigneur, l`Éternel, parle: qui ne prophétiserait?
Amos 3:9 Give out the news in the great houses of Assyria and in the land of Egypt, and say, Come together on the mountains of Samaria, and see what great outcries are there, and what cruel acts are done in it.	Amos 3:9 Faites retentir votre voix dans les palais d`Asdod Et dans les palais du pays d`Égypte, Et dites: Rassemblez-vous sur les montagnes de Samarie, Et voyez quelle immense confusion au milieu d`elle, Quelles violences dans son sein!
Amos 3:10 For they have no knowledge of how to do what is right, says the Lord, who are storing up violent acts and destruction in their great houses.	Amos 3:10 Ils ne savent pas agir avec droiture, dit l`Éternel, Ils entassent dans leurs palais les produits de la violence et de la rapine.
Amos 3:11 For this reason, says the Lord, an attacker will come, shutting in the land on every side; and your strength will come down and your great houses will be made waste.	Amos 3:11 C`est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: L`ennemi investira le pays, Il détruira ta force, Et tes palais seront pillés.
Amos 3:12 These are the words of the Lord: As the keeper of sheep takes out of the mouth of the lion two legs or part of an ear; so will the children of Israel be made safe, who are resting in Samaria on seats of honour or on the silk cushions of a bed.	Amos 3:12 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Comme le berger arrache de la gueule du lion Deux jambes ou un bout d`oreille, Ainsi se sauveront les enfants d`Israël qui sont assis dans Samarie A l`angle d`un lit et sur des tapis de damas.
Amos 3:13 Give ear now, and give witness against the family of Jacob, says the Lord God, the God of armies;	Amos 3:13 Écoutez, et déclarez ceci à la maison de Jacob! Dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel, le Dieu des armées.
Amos 3:14 For in the day when I give Israel punishment for his sins, I will send punishment on the altars of Beth-el, and the horns of the altar will be cut off and come down to the earth.	Amos 3:14 Le jour où je punirai Israël pour ses transgressions, Je frapperai sur les autels de Béthel; Les cornes de l`autel seront brisées, Et tomberont à terre.
Amos 3:15 And I will send destruction on the winter house with the summer house; the ivory houses will be falling down and the great houses will come to an end, says the Lord.	Amos 3:15 Je renverserai les maisons d`hiver et les maisons d`été; Les palais d`ivoire périront, Les maisons des grands disparaîtront, dit l`Éternel.
