Ezekiel 21:1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,	Ezéchiel 21:1 Et la parole de l`Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
Ezekiel 21:2 Son of man, let your face be turned to Jerusalem, let your words be dropped in the direction of her holy place, and be a prophet against the land of Israel;	Ezéchiel 21:2 Fils de l`homme, tourne ta face vers Jérusalem, Et parle contre les lieux saints! Prophétise contre le pays d`Israël!
Ezekiel 21:3 And say to the land of Israel, These are the words of the Lord: See, I am against you, and I will take my sword out of its cover, cutting off from you the upright and the evil.	Ezéchiel 21:3 Tu diras au pays d`Israël: Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Voici, j`en veux à toi, Je tirerai mon épée de son fourreau, Et j`exterminerai du milieu de toi le juste et le méchant.
Ezekiel 21:4 Because I am going to have the upright and the evil cut off from you, for this cause my sword will go out from its cover against all flesh from the south to the north:	Ezéchiel 21:4 Parce que je veux exterminer du milieu de toi le juste et le méchant, Mon épée sortira de son fourreau, Pour frapper toute chair, Du midi au septentrion.
Ezekiel 21:5 And all flesh will see that I the Lord have taken my sword out of its cover: and it will never go back.	Ezéchiel 21:5 Et toute chair saura Que moi, l`Éternel, j`ai tiré mon épée de son fourreau. Elle n`y rentrera plus.
Ezekiel 21:6 Make sounds of grief, son of man; with body bent and a bitter heart make sounds of grief before their eyes.	Ezéchiel 21:6 Et toi, fils de l`homme, gémis! Les reins brisés et l`amertume dans l`âme, Gémis sous leurs regards!
Ezekiel 21:7 And when they say to you, Why are you making sounds of grief? then say, Because of the news, for it is coming: and every heart will become soft, and all hands will be feeble, and every spirit will be burning low, and all knees will be turned to water: see, it is coming and it will be done, says the Lord.	Ezéchiel 21:7 Et s`ils te disent: Pourquoi gémis-tu? Tu répondras: Parce qu`il arrive une nouvelle... Tous les coeurs s`alarmeront, Toutes les mains deviendront faibles, Tous les esprits seront abattus, Tous les genoux se fondront en eau... Voici, elle arrive, elle est là! Dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel.
Ezekiel 21:8 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,	Ezéchiel 21:8 La parole de l`Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
Ezekiel 21:9 Son of man, say as a prophet, These are the words of the Lord: Say, A sword, a sword which has been made sharp and polished:	Ezéchiel 21:9 Fils de l`homme, prophétise, et dis: Ainsi parle l`Éternel. Dis: L`épée! l`épée! Elle est aiguisée, elle est polie.
Ezekiel 21:10 It has been made sharp to give death; it is polished so that it may be like a thunder-flame: ...	Ezéchiel 21:10 C`est pour massacrer qu`elle est aiguisée, C`est pour étinceler qu`elle est polie... Nous réjouirons-nous? Le sceptre de mon fils méprise tout bois...
Ezekiel 21:11 And I have given it to the polisher so that it may be taken in the hand: he has made the sword sharp, he has had it polished, to put it into the hand of him who gives death.	Ezéchiel 21:11 On l`a donnée à polir, Pour que la main la saisisse; Elle est aiguisée, l`épée, elle est polie, Pour armer la main de celui qui massacre.
Ezekiel 21:12 Give loud cries and make sounds of grief, O son of man: for it has come on my people, it has come on all the rulers of Israel: fear of the sword has come on my people: for this cause give signs of grief.	Ezéchiel 21:12 Crie et gémis, fils de l`homme! Car elle est tirée contre mon peuple, Contre tous les princes d`Israël; Ils sont livrés à l`épée avec mon peuple. Frappe donc sur ta cuisse!
Ezekiel 21:13 ...	Ezéchiel 21:13 Oui, l`épreuve sera faite; Et que sera-ce, si ce sceptre qui méprise tout est anéanti? Dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel.
Ezekiel 21:14 So then, son of man, be a prophet, and put your hands together with a loud sound, and give two blows with the sword, and even three; it is the sword of those who are wounded, even the sword of the wounded; the great sword which goes round about them.	Ezéchiel 21:14 Et toi, fils de l`homme, prophétise, Et frappe des mains! Et que les coups de l`épée soient doublés, soient triplés! C`est l`épée du carnage, l`épée du grand carnage, L`épée qui doit les poursuivre.
Ezekiel 21:15 In order that hearts may become soft, and the number of those who are falling may be increased, I have sent death by the sword against all their doors: you are made like a flame, you are polished for death.	Ezéchiel 21:15 Pour jeter l`effroi dans les coeurs, Pour multiplier les victimes, A toutes leurs portes je les menacerai de l`épée. Ah! elle est faite pour étinceler, Elle est aiguisée pour massacrer.
Ezekiel 21:16 Be pointed to the right, to the left, wherever your edge is ordered.	Ezéchiel 21:16 Rassemble tes forces, tourne-toi à droite! Place-toi, tourne-toi à gauche! Dirige de tous côtés ton tranchant!
Ezekiel 21:17 And I will put my hands together with a loud sound, and I will let my wrath have rest: I the Lord have said it.	Ezéchiel 21:17 Et moi aussi, je frapperai des mains, Et j`assouvirai ma fureur. C`est moi, l`Éternel, qui parle.
Ezekiel 21:18 And the word of the Lord came to me again, saying,	Ezéchiel 21:18 La parole de l`Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
Ezekiel 21:19 And you, son of man, have two ways marked out, so that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; let the two of them come out of one land: and let there be a pillar at the top of the road:	Ezéchiel 21:19 Fils de l`homme, trace deux chemins pour servir de passage à l`épée du roi de Babylone; tous les deux doivent sortir du même pays; marque un signe, marque-le à l`entrée du chemin qui conduit à une ville.
Ezekiel 21:20 Put a pillar at the top of the road for the sword to come to Rabbah in the land of the children of Ammon, and to Judah and to Jerusalem in the middle of her.	Ezéchiel 21:20 Tu traceras l`un des chemins pour que l`épée arrive à Rabbath, ville des enfants d`Ammon, et l`autre pour qu`elle arrive en Juda, à Jérusalem, ville fortifiée.
Ezekiel 21:21 For the king of Babylon took his place at the parting of the ways, at the top of the two roads, to make use of secret arts: shaking the arrows this way and that, he put questions to the images of his gods, he took note of the inner parts of dead beasts.	Ezéchiel 21:21 Car le roi de Babylone se tient au carrefour, à l`entrée des deux chemins, pour tirer des présages; il secoue les flèches, il interroge les théraphim, il examine le foie.
Ezekiel 21:22 At his right hand was the fate of Jerusalem, to give orders for destruction, to send up the war-cry, to put engines of war against the doors, lifting up earthworks, building walls.	Ezéchiel 21:22 Le sort, qui est dans sa droite, désigne Jérusalem, où l`on devra dresser des béliers, commander le carnage, et pousser des cris de guerre; on dressera des béliers contre les portes, on élèvera des terrasses, on formera des retranchements.
Ezekiel 21:23 And this answer given by secret arts will seem false to those who have given their oaths and have let them be broken: but he will keep the memory of evil-doing so that they may be taken.	Ezéchiel 21:23 Ils ne voient là que de vaines divinations, eux qui ont fait des serments. Mais lui, il se souvient de leur iniquité, en sorte qu`ils seront pris.
Ezekiel 21:24 For this cause the Lord has said: Because you have made your evil-doing come to mind by the uncovering of your wrongdoing, causing your sins to be seen in all your evil-doings; because you have come to mind, you will be taken in them.	Ezéchiel 21:24 C`est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: Parce que vous rappelez le souvenir de votre iniquité, en mettant à nu vos transgressions, en manifestant vos péchés dans toutes vos actions; parce que vous en rappelez le souvenir, vous serez saisis par sa main.
Ezekiel 21:25 And you, O evil one, wounded to death, O ruler of Israel, whose day has come in the time of the last punishment;	Ezéchiel 21:25 Et toi, profane, méchant, prince d`Israël, dont le jour arrive au temps où l`iniquité est à son terme!
Ezekiel 21:26 This is what the Lord has said: Take away the holy head-dress, take off the crown: this will not be again: let that which is low be lifted up, and that which is high be made low.	Ezéchiel 21:26 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: La tiare sera ôtée, le diadème sera enlevé. Les choses vont changer. Ce qui est abaissé sera élevé, et ce qui est élevé sera abaissé.
Ezekiel 21:27 I will let it be overturned, overturned, overturned: this will not be again till he comes whose right it is; and I will give it to him. Dis: L`épée, l`épée est tirée, elle est polie, pour massacrer, pour dévorer, pour étinceler!
Ezekiel 21:29 Your vision is to no purpose, your use of secret arts gives a false answer, to put it on the necks of evil-doers who are wounded to death, whose day has come, in the time of the last punishment.	Ezéchiel 21:29 Au milieu de tes visions vaines et de tes oracles menteurs, elle te fera tomber parmi les cadavres des méchants, dont le jour arrive au temps où l`iniquité est à son terme.
Ezekiel 21:30 Go back into your cover. In the place where you were made, in the land from which you were taken, I will be your judge.	Ezéchiel 21:30 Remets ton épée dans le fourreau. Je te jugerai dans le lieu où tu as été créé, dans le pays de ta naissance.
Ezekiel 21:31 And I will let loose my burning passion on you, breathing out on you the fire of my wrath: and I will give you up into the hands of men like beasts, trained to destruction.	Ezéchiel 21:31 Je répandrai sur toi ma colère, je soufflerai contre toi avec le feu de ma fureur, et je te livrerai entre les mains d`hommes qui dévorent, qui ne travaillent qu`à détruire.
Ezekiel 21:32 You will be food for the fire; your blood will be drained out in the land; there will be no more memory of you: for I the Lord have said it.	Ezéchiel 21:32 Tu seras consumé par le feu; ton sang coulera au milieu du pays; on ne se souviendra plus de toi. Car moi, l`Éternel, j`ai parlé.
