Ezekiel 23:1 The word of the Lord came to me again, saying,	Ezéchiel 23:1 La parole de l`Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
Ezekiel 23:2 Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother:	Ezéchiel 23:2 Fils de l`homme, il y avait deux femmes, Filles d`une même mère.
Ezekiel 23:3 They were acting like loose women in Egypt; when they were young their behaviour was loose: there their breasts were crushed, even the points of their young breasts were crushed.	Ezéchiel 23:3 Elles se sont prostituées en Égypte, Elles se sont prostituées dans leur jeunesse; Là leurs mamelles ont été pressées, Là leur sein virginal a été touché.
Ezekiel 23:4 Their names were Oholah, the older, and Oholibah, her sister: and they became mine, and gave birth to sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem, Oholibah.	Ezéchiel 23:4 L`aînée s`appelait Ohola, Et sa soeur Oholiba; Elles étaient à moi, Et elles ont enfanté des fils et des filles. Ohola, c`est Samarie; Oholiba, c`est Jérusalem.
Ezekiel 23:5 And Oholah was untrue to me when she was mine; she was full of desire for her lovers, even for the Assyrians, her neighbours,	Ezéchiel 23:5 Ohola me fut infidèle; Elle s`enflamma pour ses amants, Les Assyriens ses voisins,
Ezekiel 23:6 Who were clothed in blue, captains and rulers, all of them young men to be desired, horsemen seated on horses.	Ezéchiel 23:6 Vêtus d`étoffes teintes en bleu, Gouverneurs et chefs, Tous jeunes et charmants, Cavaliers montés sur des chevaux.
Ezekiel 23:7 And she gave her unclean love to them, all of them the noblest men of Assyria: and she made herself unclean with the images of all who were desired by her.	Ezéchiel 23:7 Elle s`est prostituée à eux, A toute l`élite des enfants de l`Assyrie; Elle s`est souillée avec tous ceux pour lesquels elle s`était enflammée, Elle s`est souillée avec toutes leurs idoles.
Ezekiel 23:8 And she has not given up her loose ways from the time when she was in Egypt; for when she was young they were her lovers, and by them her young breasts were crushed, and they let loose on her their unclean desire.	Ezéchiel 23:8 Elle n`a pas renoncé à ses prostitutions d`Égypte: Car ils avaient couché avec elle dans sa jeunesse, Ils avaient touché son sein virginal, Et ils avaient répandu sur elle leurs prostitutions.
Ezekiel 23:9 For this cause I gave her up into the hands of her lovers, into the hands of the Assyrians on whom her desire was fixed.	Ezéchiel 23:9 C`est pourquoi je l`ai livrée entre les mains de ses amants, Entre les mains des enfants de l`Assyrie, Pour lesquels elle s`était enflammée.
Ezekiel 23:10 By these her shame was uncovered: they took her sons and daughters and put her to death with the sword: and she became a cause of wonder to women; for they gave her the punishment which was right.	Ezéchiel 23:10 Ils ont découvert sa nudité, Ils ont pris ses fils et ses filles, Ils l`ont fait périr elle-même avec l`épée; Elle a été en renom parmi les femmes, Après les jugements exercés sur elle.
Ezekiel 23:11 And her sister Oholibah saw this, but her desire was even more unmeasured, and her loose behaviour was worse than that of her sister.	Ezéchiel 23:11 Sa soeur Oholiba vit cela, Et fut plus déréglée qu`elle dans sa passion; Ses prostitutions dépassèrent celles de sa soeur.
Ezekiel 23:12 She was full of desire for the Assyrians, captains and rulers, her neighbours, clothed in blue, horsemen going on horses, all of them young men to be desired.	Ezéchiel 23:12 Elle s`enflamma pour les enfants de l`Assyrie, Gouverneurs et chefs, ses voisins, Vêtus magnifiquement, Cavaliers montés sur des chevaux, Tous jeunes et charmants.
Ezekiel 23:13 And I saw that she had become unclean; the two of them went the same way.	Ezéchiel 23:13 Je vis qu`elle s`était souillée, Que l`une et l`autre avaient suivi la même voie.
Ezekiel 23:14 And her loose behaviour became worse; for she saw men pictured on a wall, pictures of the Chaldaeans painted in bright red,	Ezéchiel 23:14 Elle alla même plus loin dans ses prostitutions. Elle aperçut contre les murailles des peintures d`hommes, Des images de Chaldéens peints en couleur rouge,
Ezekiel 23:15 With bands round their bodies and with head-dresses hanging round their heads, all of them looking like rulers, like the Babylonians, the land of whose birth is Chaldaea.	Ezéchiel 23:15 Avec des ceintures autour des reins, Avec des turbans de couleurs variées flottant sur la tête, Tous ayant l`apparence de chefs, Et figurant des enfants de Babylone, De la Chaldée, leur patrie;
Ezekiel 23:16 And when she saw them she was full of desire for them, and sent servants to them in Chaldaea.	Ezéchiel 23:16 Elle s`enflamma pour eux, au premier regard, Et leur envoya des messagers en Chaldée.
Ezekiel 23:17 And the Babylonians came to her, into the bed of love, and made her unclean with their loose desire, and she became unclean with them, and her soul was turned from them.	Ezéchiel 23:17 Et les enfants de Babylone se rendirent auprès d`elle, Pour partager le lit des amours, Et ils la souillèrent par leurs prostitutions. Elle s`est souillée avec eux, Puis son coeur s`est détaché d`eux.
Ezekiel 23:18 So her loose behaviour was clearly seen and her shame uncovered: then my soul was turned from her as it had been turned from her sister.	Ezéchiel 23:18 Elle a mis à nu son impudicité, Elle a découvert sa nudité; Et mon coeur s`est détaché d`elle, Comme mon coeur s`était détaché de sa soeur.
Ezekiel 23:19 But still she went on the more with her loose behaviour, keeping in mind the early days when she had been a loose woman in the land of Egypt.	Ezéchiel 23:19 Elle a multiplié ses prostitutions, En pensant aux jours de sa jeunesse, Lorsqu`elle se prostituait au pays d`Égypte.
Ezekiel 23:20 And she was full of desire for her lovers, whose flesh is like the flesh of asses and whose seed is like the seed of horses.	Ezéchiel 23:20 Elle s`est enflammée pour des impudiques, Dont la chair était comme celle des ânes, Et l`approche comme celle des chevaux.
Ezekiel 23:21 And she made the memory of the loose ways of her early years come back to mind, when her young breasts were crushed by the Egyptians.	Ezéchiel 23:21 Tu t`es souvenue des crimes de ta jeunesse, Lorsque les Égyptiens pressaient tes mamelles, A cause de ton sein virginal.
Ezekiel 23:22 For this cause, O Oholibah, this is what the Lord has said: See, I will make your lovers come up against you, even those from whom your soul is turned away in disgust; and I will make them come up against you on every side;	Ezéchiel 23:22 C`est pourquoi, Oholiba, ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: Voici, j`excite contre toi tes amants, Ceux dont ton coeur s`est détaché, Et je les amène de toutes parts contre toi;
Ezekiel 23:23 The Babylonians and all the Chaldaeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: young men to be desired, captains and rulers all of them, and chiefs, her neighbours, all of them on horseback.	Ezéchiel 23:23 Les enfants de Babylone et tous les Chaldéens, Nobles, princes et seigneurs, Et tous les enfants de l`Assyrie avec eux, Jeunes et charmants, Tous gouverneurs et chefs, Chefs illustres, Tous montés sur des chevaux.
Ezekiel 23:24 And they will come against you from the north on horseback, with war-carriages and a great band of peoples; they will put themselves in order against you with breastplate and body-cover and metal head-dress round about you: and I will make them your judges, and they will give their decision against you as seems right to them.	Ezéchiel 23:24 Ils marchent contre toi avec des armes, des chars et des roues, Et une multitude de peuples; Avec le grand bouclier et le petit bouclier, avec les casques, Ils s`avancent de toutes parts contre toi. Je leur remets le jugement, Et ils te jugeront selon leurs lois.
Ezekiel 23:25 And my bitter feeling will be working against you, and they will take you in hand with passion; they will take away your nose and your ears, and the rest of you will be put to the sword: they will take your sons and daughters, and the rest of you will be burned up in the fire.	Ezéchiel 23:25 Je répands ma colère sur toi, Et ils te traiteront avec fureur. Ils te couperont le nez et les oreilles, Et ce qui reste de toi tombera par l`épée; Ils prendront tes fils et tes filles, Et ce qui reste de toi sera dévoré par le feu.
Ezekiel 23:26 And they will take all your clothing off you and take away your ornaments.	Ezéchiel 23:26 Ils te dépouilleront de tes vêtements, Et ils enlèveront les ornements dont tu te pares.
Ezekiel 23:27 So I will put an end to your evil ways and your loose behaviour which came from the land of Egypt: and your eyes will never be lifted up to them again, and you will have no more memory of Egypt.	Ezéchiel 23:27 Je mettrai fin à tes crimes Et à tes prostitutions du pays d`Égypte; Tu ne porteras plus tes regards vers eux, Tu ne penseras plus à l`Égypte.
Ezekiel 23:28 For this is what the Lord has said: See, I will give you up into the hands of those who are hated by you, into the hands of those from whom your soul is turned away in disgust:	Ezéchiel 23:28 Car ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: Voici, je te livre entre les mains de ceux que tu hais, Entre les mains de ceux dont ton coeur s`est détaché.
Ezekiel 23:29 And they will take you in hand with hate, and take away all the fruit of your work, and let you be unveiled and without clothing: and the shame of your loose behaviour will be uncovered, your evil designs and your loose ways.	Ezéchiel 23:29 Ils te traiteront avec haine; Ils enlèveront toutes tes richesses, Et te laisseront nue, entièrement nue; La honte de tes impudicités sera découverte, De tes crimes et de tes prostitutions.
Ezekiel 23:30 They will do these things to you because you have been untrue to me, and have gone after the nations, and have become unclean with their images.	Ezéchiel 23:30 Ces choses t`arriveront, Parce que tu t`es prostituée aux nations, Parce que tu t`es souillée par leurs idoles.
Ezekiel 23:31 You have gone in the way of your sister; and I will give her cup into your hand.	Ezéchiel 23:31 Tu as marché dans la voie de ta soeur, Et je mets sa coupe dans ta main.
Ezekiel 23:32 This is what the Lord has said: You will take a drink from your sister's cup, which is deep and wide: you will be laughed at and looked down on, more than you are able to undergo.	Ezéchiel 23:32 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: Tu boiras la coupe de ta soeur, Tu la boiras large et profonde; Elle te rendra un objet de risée et de moquerie; Elle contient beaucoup.
Ezekiel 23:33 You will be broken and full of sorrow, with the cup of wonder and destruction, with the cup of your sister Samaria.	Ezéchiel 23:33 Tu seras remplie d`ivresse et de douleur; C`est la coupe de désolation et de destruction, La coupe de ta soeur Samarie.
Ezekiel 23:34 And after drinking it and draining it out, you will take the last drops of it to the end, pulling off your breasts: for I have said it, says the Lord.	Ezéchiel 23:34 Tu la boiras, tu la videras, Tu la briseras en morceaux, Et tu te déchireras le sein. Car j`ai parlé, Dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel.
Ezekiel 23:35 So this is what the Lord has said: Because you have not kept me in your memory, and because your back has been turned to me, you will even undergo the punishment of your evil designs and your loose ways.	Ezéchiel 23:35 C`est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: Parce que tu m`as oublié, Parce que tu m`as rejeté derrière ton dos, Porte donc aussi la peine de tes crimes et de tes prostitutions.
Ezekiel 23:36 Then the Lord said to me: Son of man, will you be the judge of Oholibah? then make clear to her the disgusting things she has done.	Ezéchiel 23:36 L`Éternel me dit: Fils de l`homme, jugeras-tu Ohola et Oholiba? Déclare-leur leurs abominations!
Ezekiel 23:37 For she has been false to me, and blood is on her hands, and with her images she has been untrue; and more than this, she made her sons, whom she had by me, go through the fire to them to be burned up.	Ezéchiel 23:37 Elles se sont livrées à l`adultère, et il y a du sang à leurs mains: Elles ont commis adultère avec leurs idoles; Et les enfants qu`elles m`avaient enfantés, Elles les ont fait passer par le feu Pour qu`ils leur servent d`aliment.
Ezekiel 23:38 Further, this is what she has done to me: she has made my holy place unclean and has made my Sabbaths unclean.	Ezéchiel 23:38 Voici encore ce qu`elles m`ont fait: Elles ont souillé mon sanctuaire dans le même jour, Et elles ont profané mes sabbats.
Ezekiel 23:39 For when she had made an offering of her children to her images, she came into my holy place to make it unclean; see, this is what she has done inside my house.	Ezéchiel 23:39 Elles ont immolé leurs enfants à leurs idoles, Et elles sont allées le même jour dans mon sanctuaire, Pour le profaner. C`est là ce qu`elles ont fait dans ma maison.
Ezekiel 23:40 And she even sent for men to come from far away, to whom a servant was sent, and they came: for whom she was washing her body and painting her eyes and making herself fair with ornaments.	Ezéchiel 23:40 Et même elles ont fait chercher des hommes venant de loin, Elles leur ont envoyé des messagers, et voici, ils sont venus. Pour eux tu t`es lavée, tu as mis du fard à tes yeux, Tu t`es parée de tes ornements;
Ezekiel 23:41 And she took her seat on a great bed, with a table put ready before it on which she put my perfume and my oil.	Ezéchiel 23:41 Tu t`es assise sur un lit magnifique, Devant lequel une table était dressée, Et tu as placé sur cette table mon encens et mon huile.
Ezekiel 23:42 ... and they put jewels on her hands and beautiful crowns on her head.	Ezéchiel 23:42 On entendait les cris d`une multitude joyeuse; Et parmi cette foule d`hommes On a fait venir du désert des Sabéens, Qui ont mis des bracelets aux mains des deux soeurs Et de superbes couronnes sur leurs têtes.
Ezekiel 23:43 Then I said ... now she will go on with her loose ways.	Ezéchiel 23:43 Je dis alors au sujet de celle qui a vieilli dans l`adultère: Continuera-t-elle maintenant ses prostitutions, et viendra-t-on à elle?
Ezekiel 23:44 And they went in to her, as men go to a loose woman: so they went in to Oholibah, the loose woman.	Ezéchiel 23:44 Et l`on est venu vers elle comme l`on va chez une prostituée; C`est ainsi qu`on est allé vers Ohola et Oholiba, Ces femmes criminelles.
Ezekiel 23:45 And upright men will be her judges, judging her as false wives and women who take lives are judged; because she has been untrue to me and blood is on her hands.	Ezéchiel 23:45 Mais des hommes justes les jugeront, Comme on juge les femmes adultères, Comme on juge celles qui répandent le sang; Car elles sont adultères, et il y a du sang à leurs mains.
Ezekiel 23:46 For this is what the Lord has said: I will make a great meeting of the people come together against her, and will send on her shaking fear and take everything from her.	Ezéchiel 23:46 Car ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: Je ferai monter contre elles une multitude, Et je les livrerai à la terreur et au pillage.
Ezekiel 23:47 And the meeting, after stoning her with stones, will put an end to her with their swords; they will put her sons and daughters to death and have her house burned up with fire.	Ezéchiel 23:47 Cette multitude les lapidera, Et les abattra à coups d`épée; On tuera leurs fils et leurs filles, On brûlera leurs maisons par le feu.
Ezekiel 23:48 And I will put an end to evil in all the land, teaching all women not to do as you have done.	Ezéchiel 23:48 Je ferai cesser ainsi le crime dans le pays; Toutes les femmes recevront instruction, Et ne commettront pas de crime comme le vôtre.
Ezekiel 23:49 And I will send on you the punishment of your evil ways, and you will be rewarded for your sins with your images: and you will be certain that I am the Lord.	Ezéchiel 23:49 On fera retomber votre crime sur vous, Et vous porterez les péchés de vos idoles. Et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur, l`Éternel.
