Galatians 4:1 But I say that as long as the son is a child, he is in no way different from a servant, though he is lord of all;	Galates 4:1 Or, aussi longtemps que l`héritier est enfant, je dis qu`il ne diffère en rien d`un esclave, quoiqu`il soit le maître de tout;
Galatians 4:2 But is under keepers and managers till the time fixed by the father.	Galates 4:2 mais il est sous des tuteurs et des administrateurs jusqu`au temps marqué par le père.
Galatians 4:3 So we, when we were young, were kept under the first rules of the world;	Galates 4:3 Nous aussi, de la même manière, lorsque nous étions enfants, nous étions sous l`esclavage des rudiments du monde;
Galatians 4:4 But when the time had come, God sent out his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,	Galates 4:4 mais, lorsque les temps ont été accomplis, Dieu a envoyé son Fils, né d`une femme, né sous la loi,
Galatians 4:5 That he might make them free who were under the law, and that we might be given the place of sons.	Galates 4:5 afin qu`il rachetât ceux qui étaient sous la loi, afin que nous reçussions l`adoption.
Galatians 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, saying, Abba, Father.	Galates 4:6 Et parce que vous êtes fils, Dieu a envoyé dans nos coeurs l`Esprit de son Fils, lequel crie: Abba! Père!
Galatians 4:7 So that you are no longer a servant, but a son; and if a son, then the heritage of God is yours.	Galates 4:7 Ainsi tu n`es plus esclave, mais fils; et si tu es fils, tu es aussi héritier par la grâce de Dieu.
Galatians 4:8 But at that time, having no knowledge of God, you were servants to those who by right are no gods:	Galates 4:8 Autrefois, ne connaissant pas Dieu, vous serviez des dieux qui ne le sont pas de leur nature;
Galatians 4:9 But now that you have come to have knowledge of God, or more truly, God has knowledge of you, how is it that you go back again to the poor and feeble first things, desiring to be servants to them again?	Galates 4:9 mais à présent que vous avez connu Dieu, ou plutôt que vous avez été connus de Dieu, comment retournez-vous à ces faibles et pauvres rudiments, auxquels de nouveau vous voulez vous asservir encore?
Galatians 4:10 You keep days, and months, and fixed times, and years.	Galates 4:10 Vous observez les jours, les mois, les temps et les années!
Galatians 4:11 I am in fear of you, that I may have been working for you to no purpose.	Galates 4:11 Je crains d`avoir inutilement travaillé pour vous.
Galatians 4:12 My desire for you, brothers, is that you may be as I am, because I am as you are. You have done me no wrong;	Galates 4:12 Soyez comme moi, car moi aussi je suis comme vous. Frères, je vous en supplie.
Galatians 4:13 But you have knowledge that with a feeble body I was preaching the good news to you the first time;	Galates 4:13 Vous ne m`avez fait aucun tort. Vous savez que ce fut à cause d`une infirmité de la chair que je vous ai pour la première fois annoncé l`Évangile.
Galatians 4:14 And you did not have a poor opinion of me because of the trouble in my flesh, or put shame on it; but you took me to your hearts as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.	Galates 4:14 Et mis à l`épreuve par ma chair, vous n`avez témoigné ni mépris ni dégoût; vous m`avez, au contraire, reçu comme un ange de Dieu, comme Jésus Christ.
Galatians 4:15 Where then is that happy condition of yours? because I give you witness, that, if possible, you would have taken out your eyes and given them to me.	Galates 4:15 Où donc est l`expression de votre bonheur? Car je vous atteste que, si cela eût été possible, vous vous seriez arraché les yeux pour me les donner.
Galatians 4:16 So then am I no longer your friend, because I give you true words?	Galates 4:16 Suis-je devenu votre ennemi en vous disant la vérité?
Galatians 4:17 Their interest in you is not good; but their desire is that you may be shut out, so that you may go after them.	Galates 4:17 Le zèle qu`ils ont pour vous n`est pas pur, mais ils veulent vous détacher de nous, afin que vous soyez zélés pour eux.
Galatians 4:18 But it is good to have an interest in a good cause at all times, and not only when I am present with you.	Galates 4:18 Il est beau d`avoir du zèle pour ce qui est bien et en tout temps, et non pas seulement quand je suis présent parmi vous.
Galatians 4:19 My children, of whom I am again in birth-pains till Christ is formed in you,	Galates 4:19 Mes enfants, pour qui j`éprouve de nouveau les douleurs de l`enfantement, jusqu`à ce que Christ soit formé en vous,
Galatians 4:20 Truly my desire is to be present with you now, using a changed voice; for I am troubled about you.	Galates 4:20 je voudrais être maintenant auprès de vous, et changer de langage, car je suis dans l`inquiétude à votre sujet.
Galatians 4:21 Say, you whose desire it is to be under the law, do you not give ear to the law?	Galates 4:21 Dites-moi, vous qui voulez être sous la loi, n`entendez-vous point la loi?
Galatians 4:22 Because it is in the Writings, that Abraham had two sons, one by the servant-woman, and one by the free woman.	Galates 4:22 Car il est écrit qu`Abraham eut deux fils, un de la femme esclave, et un de la femme libre.
Galatians 4:23 Now the son by the servant-woman has his birth after the flesh; but the son by the free woman has his birth through the undertaking of God.	Galates 4:23 Mais celui de l`esclave naquit selon la chair, et celui de la femme libre naquit en vertu de la promesse.
Galatians 4:24 Which things have a secret sense; because these women are the two agreements; one from the mountain of Sinai, giving birth to servants, which is Hagar.	Galates 4:24 Ces choses sont allégoriques; car ces femmes sont deux alliances. L`une du mont Sinaï, enfantant pour la servitude, c`est Agar, -
Galatians 4:25 Now this Hagar is the mountain Sinai in Arabia, and is the image of the Jerusalem which now is: which is a servant with her children.	Galates 4:25 car Agar, c`est le mont Sinaï en Arabie, -et elle correspond à la Jérusalem actuelle, qui est dans la servitude avec ses enfants.
Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem on high is free, which is our mother.	Galates 4:26 Mais la Jérusalem d`en haut est libre, c`est notre mère;
Galatians 4:27 For it is in the Writings, You who have never given birth, be glad; give cries of joy, you who have had no birth-pains; for the children of her who has been given up by her husband are more than those of the woman who has a husband.	Galates 4:27 car il est écrit: Réjouis-toi, stérile, toi qui n`enfantes point! Éclate et pousse des cris, toi qui n`as pas éprouvé les douleurs de l`enfantement! Car les enfants de la délaissée seront plus nombreux Que les enfants de celle qui était mariée.
Galatians 4:28 Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are the children of the undertaking of God.	Galates 4:28 Pour vous, frères, comme Isaac, vous êtes enfants de la promesse;
Galatians 4:29 But as in those days he who had birth after the flesh was cruel to him who had birth after the Spirit, even so it is now.	Galates 4:29 et de même qu`alors celui qui était né selon la chair persécutait celui qui était né selon l`Esprit, ainsi en est-il encore maintenant.
Galatians 4:30 What then do the Writings say? Send away the servant-woman and her son; for the son of the servant-woman will not have a part in the heritage with the son of the free woman.	Galates 4:30 Mais que dit l`Écriture? Chasse l`esclave et son fils, car le fils de l`esclave n`héritera pas avec le fils de la femme libre.
Galatians 4:31 So, brothers, we are not children of the servant-woman, but of the free woman.	Galates 4:31 C`est pourquoi, frères, nous ne sommes pas enfants de l`esclave, mais de la femme libre.
