Genesis 13:1 And Abram went up out of Egypt with his wife and all he had, and Lot with him, and they came in to the South.	Genèse 13:1 Abram remonta d`Égypte vers le midi, lui, sa femme, et tout ce qui lui appartenait, et Lot avec lui.
Genesis 13:2 Now Abram had great wealth of cattle and silver and gold.	Genèse 13:2 Abram était très riche en troupeaux, en argent et en or.
Genesis 13:3 And travelling on from the South, he came to Beth-el, to the place where his tent had been before, between Beth-el and Ai;	Genèse 13:3 Il dirigea ses marches du midi jusqu`à Béthel, jusqu`au lieu où était sa tente au commencement, entre Béthel et Aï,
Genesis 13:4 To the place where he had made his first altar, and there Abram gave worship to the name of the Lord.	Genèse 13:4 au lieu où était l`autel qu`il avait fait précédemment. Et là, Abram invoqua le nom de l`Éternel.
Genesis 13:5 And Lot, who went with him, had flocks and herds and tents;	Genèse 13:5 Lot, qui voyageait avec Abram, avait aussi des brebis, des boeufs et des tentes.
Genesis 13:6 So that the land was not wide enough for the two of them: their property was so great that there was not room for them together.	Genèse 13:6 Et la contrée était insuffisante pour qu`ils demeurassent ensemble, car leurs biens étaient si considérables qu`ils ne pouvaient demeurer ensemble.
Genesis 13:7 And there was an argument between the keepers of Abram's cattle and the keepers of Lot's cattle: at that time the Canaanites and Perizzites were still living in the land.	Genèse 13:7 Il y eut querelle entre les bergers des troupeaux d`Abram et les bergers des troupeaux de Lot. Les Cananéens et les Phérésiens habitaient alors dans le pays.
Genesis 13:8 Then Abram said to Lot, Let there be no argument between me and you, and between my herdmen and your herdmen, for we are brothers.	Genèse 13:8 Abram dit à Lot: Qu`il n`y ait point, je te prie, de dispute entre moi et toi, ni entre mes bergers et tes bergers; car nous sommes frères.
Genesis 13:9 Is not all the land before you? then let us go our separate ways: if you go to the left, I will go to the right; or if you take the right, I will go to the left.	Genèse 13:9 Tout le pays n`est-il pas devant toi? Sépare-toi donc de moi: si tu vas à gauche, j`irai à droite; si tu vas à droite, j`irai à gauche.
Genesis 13:10 And Lot, lifting up his eyes and looking an the valley of Jordan, saw that it was well watered everywhere, before the Lord had sent destruction on Sodom and Gomorrah; it was like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, on the way to Zoar.	Genèse 13:10 Lot leva les yeux, et vit toute la plaine du Jourdain, qui était entièrement arrosée. Avant que l`Éternel eût détruit Sodome et Gomorrhe, c`était, jusqu`à Tsoar, comme un jardin de l`Éternel, comme le pays d`Égypte.
Genesis 13:11 So Lot took for himself all the valley of Jordan, and went to the east, and they were parted from one another.	Genèse 13:11 Lot choisit pour lui toute la plaine du Jourdain, et il s`avança vers l`orient. C`est ainsi qu`ils se séparèrent l`un de l`autre.
Genesis 13:12 Abram went on living in the land of Canaan, and Lot went to the lowland towns, moving his tent as far as Sodom.	Genèse 13:12 Abram habita dans le pays de Canaan; et Lot habita dans les villes de la plaine, et dressa ses tentes jusqu`à Sodome.
Genesis 13:13 Now the men of Sodom were evil, and great sinners before the Lord.	Genèse 13:13 Les gens de Sodome étaient méchants, et de grands pécheurs contre l`Éternel.
Genesis 13:14 And the Lord had said to Abram, after Lot was parted from him, From this place where you are take a look to the north and to the south, to the east and to the west:	Genèse 13:14 L`Éternel dit à Abram, après que Lot se fut séparé de lui: Lève les yeux, et, du lieu où tu es, regarde vers le nord et le midi, vers l`orient et l`occident;
Genesis 13:15 For all the land which you see I will give to you and to your seed for ever.	Genèse 13:15 car tout le pays que tu vois, je le donnerai à toi et à ta postérité pour toujours.
Genesis 13:16 And I will make your children like the dust of the earth, so that if the dust of the earth may be numbered, then will your children be numbered.	Genèse 13:16 Je rendrai ta postérité comme la poussière de la terre, en sorte que, si quelqu`un peut compter la poussière de la terre, ta postérité aussi sera comptée.
Genesis 13:17 Come, go through all the land from one end to the other for I will give it to you.	Genèse 13:17 Lève-toi, parcours le pays dans sa longueur et dans sa largeur; car je te le donnerai.
Genesis 13:18 And Abram, moving his tent, came and made his living-place by the holy tree of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and made an altar there to the Lord.	Genèse 13:18 Abram leva ses tentes, et vint habiter parmi les chênes de Mamré, qui sont près d`Hébron. Et il bâtit là un autel à l`Éternel.
