Job 33	Job 33
Job 33:1 And now, O Job, give ear to my words, and take note of all I say.	Job 33:1 Maintenant donc, Job, écoute mes discours, Prête l`oreille à toutes mes paroles!
Job 33:2 See, now my mouth is open, my tongue gives out words.	Job 33:2 Voici, j`ouvre la bouche, Ma langue se remue dans mon palais.
Job 33:3 My heart is overflowing with knowledge, my lips say what is true.	Job 33:3 C`est avec droiture de coeur que je vais parler, C`est la vérité pure qu`exprimeront mes lèvres:
Job 33:4 The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Ruler of all gives me life.	Job 33:4 L`esprit de Dieu m`a créé, Et le souffle du Tout Puissant m`anime.
Job 33:5 If you are able, give me an answer; put your cause in order, and come forward.	Job 33:5 Si tu le peux, réponds-moi, Défends ta cause, tiens-toi prêt!
Job 33:6 See, I am the same as you are in the eyes of God; I was cut off from the same bit of wet earth.	Job 33:6 Devant Dieu je suis ton semblable, J`ai été comme toi formé de la boue;
Job 33:7 Fear of me will not overcome you, and my hand will not be hard on you.	Job 33:7 Ainsi mes terreurs ne te troubleront pas, Et mon poids ne saurait t`accabler.
Job 33:8 But you said in my hearing, and your voice came to my ears:	Job 33:8 Mais tu as dit à mes oreilles, Et j`ai entendu le son de tes paroles:
Job 33:9 I am clean, without sin; I am washed, and there is no evil in me:	Job 33:9 Je suis pur, je suis sans péché, Je suis net, il n`y a point en moi d`iniquité.
Job 33:10 See, he is looking for something against me; in his eyes I am as one of his haters;	Job 33:10 Et Dieu trouve contre moi des motifs de haine, Il me traite comme son ennemi;
Job 33:11 He puts chains on my feet; he is watching all my ways.	Job 33:11 Il met mes pieds dans les ceps, Il surveille tous mes mouvements.
Job 33:12 Truly, in saying this you are wrong; for God is greater than man.	Job 33:12 Je te répondrai qu`en cela tu n`as pas raison, Car Dieu est plus grand que l`homme.
Job 33:13 Why do you put forward your cause against him, saying, He gives no answer to any of my words?	Job 33:13 Veux-tu donc disputer avec lui, Parce qu`il ne rend aucun compte de ses actes?
Job 33:14 For God gives his word in one way, even in two, and man is not conscious of it:	Job 33:14 Dieu parle cependant, tantôt d`une manière, Tantôt d`une autre, et l`on n`y prend point garde.
Job 33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep comes on men, while they take their rest on their beds;	Job 33:15 Il parle par des songes, par des visions nocturnes, Quand les hommes sont livrés à un profond sommeil, Quand ils sont endormis sur leur couche.
Job 33:16 Then he makes his secrets clear to men, so that they are full of fear at what they see;	Job 33:16 Alors il leur donne des avertissements Et met le sceau à ses instructions,
Job 33:17 In order that man may be turned from his evil works, and that pride may be taken away from him;	Job 33:17 Afin de détourner l`homme du mal Et de le préserver de l`orgueil,
Job 33:18 To keep back his soul from the underworld, and his life from destruction.	Job 33:18 Afin de garantir son âme de la fosse Et sa vie des coups du glaive.
Job 33:19 Pain is sent on him as a punishment, while he is on his bed; there is no end to the trouble in his bones;	Job 33:19 Par la douleur aussi l`homme est repris sur sa couche, Quand une lutte continue vient agiter ses os.
Job 33:20 He has no desire for food, and his soul is turned away from delicate meat;	Job 33:20 Alors il prend en dégoût le pain, Même les aliments les plus exquis;
Job 33:21 His flesh is so wasted away, that it may not be seen, and his bones. ...	Job 33:21 Sa chair se consume et disparaît, Ses os qu`on ne voyait pas sont mis à nu;
Job 33:22 And his soul comes near to the underworld, and his life to the angels of death.	Job 33:22 Son âme s`approche de la fosse, Et sa vie des messagers de la mort.
Job 33:23 If now there may be an angel sent to him, one of the thousands which there are to be between him and God, and to make clear to man what is right for him;	Job 33:23 Mais s`il se trouve pour lui un ange intercesseur, Un d`entre les mille Qui annoncent à l`homme la voie qu`il doit suivre,
Job 33:24 And if he has mercy on him, and says, Let him not go down to the underworld, I have given the price for his life:	Job 33:24 Dieu a compassion de lui et dit à l`ange: Délivre-le, afin qu`il ne descende pas dans la fosse; J`ai trouvé une rançon!
Job 33:25 Then his flesh becomes young again, and he comes back to the days of his early strength;	Job 33:25 Et sa chair a plus de fraîcheur qu`au premier âge, Il revient aux jours de sa jeunesse.
Job 33:26 He makes his prayer to God, and he has mercy on him; he sees God's face with cries of joy; he gives news of his righteousness to men;	Job 33:26 Il adresse à Dieu sa prière; et Dieu lui est propice, Lui laisse voir sa face avec joie, Et lui rend son innocence.
Job 33:27 He makes a song, saying, I did wrong, turning from the straight way, but he did not give me the reward of my sin.	Job 33:27 Il chante devant les hommes et dit: J`ai péché, j`ai violé la justice, Et je n`ai pas été puni comme je le méritais;
Job 33:28 He kept my soul from the underworld, and my life sees the light in full measure.	Job 33:28 Dieu a délivré mon âme pour qu`elle n`entrât pas dans la fosse, Et ma vie s`épanouit à la lumière!
Job 33:29 Truly, God does all these things to man, twice and three times,	Job 33:29 Voilà tout ce que Dieu fait, Deux fois, trois fois, avec l`homme,
Job 33:30 Keeping back his soul from the underworld, so that he may see the light of life.	Job 33:30 Pour ramener son âme de la fosse, Pour l`éclairer de la lumière des vivants.
Job 33:31 Take note O Job, give ear to me; keep quiet, while I say what is in my mind.	Job 33:31 Sois attentif, Job, écoute-moi! Tais-toi, et je parlerai!
Job 33:32 If you have anything to say, give me an answer; for it is my desire that you may be judged free from sin.	Job 33:32 Si tu as quelque chose à dire, réponds-moi! Parle, car je voudrais te donner raison.
Job 33:33 If not, give attention to me, and keep quiet, and I will give you wisdom.	Job 33:33 Si tu n`as rien à dire, écoute-moi! Tais-toi, et je t`enseignerai la sagesse.
