Matthew 6	Matthieu 6
Matthew 6:1 Take care not to do your good works before men, to be seen by them; or you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.	Matthieu 6:1 Gardez-vous de pratiquer votre justice devant les hommes, pour en être vus; autrement, vous n`aurez point de récompense auprès de votre Père qui est dans les cieux.
Matthew 6:2 When then you give money to the poor, do not make a noise about it, as the false-hearted men do in the Synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly, I say to you, They have their reward.	Matthieu 6:2 Lors donc que tu fais l`aumône, ne sonne pas de la trompette devant toi, comme font les hypocrites dans les synagogues et dans les rues, afin d`être glorifiés par les hommes. Je vous le dis en vérité, ils reçoivent leur récompense.
Matthew 6:3 But when you give money, let not your left hand see what your right hand does:	Matthieu 6:3 Mais quand tu fais l`aumône, que ta main gauche ne sache pas ce que fait ta droite,
Matthew 6:4 So that your giving may be in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will give you your reward.	Matthieu 6:4 afin que ton aumône se fasse en secret; et ton Père, qui voit dans le secret, te le rendra.
Matthew 6:5 And when you make your prayers, be not like the false-hearted men, who take pleasure in getting up and saying their prayers in the Synagogues and at the street turnings so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.	Matthieu 6:5 Lorsque vous priez, ne soyez pas comme les hypocrites, qui aiment à prier debout dans les synagogues et aux coins des rues, pour être vus des hommes. Je vous le dis en vérité, ils reçoivent leur récompense.
Matthew 6:6 But when you make your prayer, go into your private room, and, shutting the door, say a prayer to your Father in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will give you your reward.	Matthieu 6:6 Mais quand tu pries, entre dans ta chambre, ferme ta porte, et prie ton Père qui est là dans le lieu secret; et ton Père, qui voit dans le secret, te le rendra.
Matthew 6:7 And in your prayer do not make use of the same words again and again, as the Gentiles do: for they have the idea that God will give attention to them because of the number of their words.	Matthieu 6:7 En priant, ne multipliez pas de vaines paroles, comme les païens, qui s`imaginent qu`à force de paroles ils seront exaucés.
Matthew 6:8 So be not like them; because your Father has knowledge of your needs even before you make your requests to him.	Matthieu 6:8 Ne leur ressemblez pas; car votre Père sait de quoi vous avez besoin, avant que vous le lui demandiez.
Matthew 6:9 Let this then be your prayer: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.	Matthieu 6:9 Voici donc comment vous devez prier: Notre Père qui es aux cieux! Que ton nom soit sanctifié;
Matthew 6:10 Let your kingdom come. Let your pleasure be done, as in heaven, so on earth.	Matthieu 6:10 que ton règne vienne; que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel.
Matthew 6:11 Give us this day bread for our needs.	Matthieu 6:11 Donne-nous aujourd`hui notre pain quotidien;
Matthew 6:12 And make us free of our debts, as we have made those free who are in debt to us.	Matthieu 6:12 pardonne-nous nos offenses, comme nous aussi nous pardonnons à ceux qui nous ont offensés;
Matthew 6:13 And let us not be put to the test, but keep us safe from the Evil One.	Matthieu 6:13 ne nous induis pas en tentation, mais délivre-nous du malin. Car c`est à toi qu`appartiennent, dans tous les siècles, le règne, la puissance et la gloire. Amen!
Matthew 6:14 For if you let men have forgiveness for their sins, you will have forgiveness from your Father in heaven.	Matthieu 6:14 Si vous pardonnez aux hommes leurs offenses, votre Père céleste vous pardonnera aussi;
Matthew 6:15 But if you do not let men have forgiveness for their sins, you will not have forgiveness from your Father for your sins.	Matthieu 6:15 mais si vous ne pardonnez pas aux hommes, votre Père ne vous pardonnera pas non plus vos offenses.
Matthew 6:16 And when you go without food, be not sad-faced as the false-hearted are. For they go about with changed looks, so that men may see that they are going without food. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.	Matthieu 6:16 Lorsque vous jeûnez, ne prenez pas un air triste, comme les hypocrites, qui se rendent le visage tout défait, pour montrer aux hommes qu`ils jeûnent. Je vous le dis en vérité, ils reçoivent leur récompense.
Matthew 6:17 But when you go without food, put oil on your head and make your face clean;	Matthieu 6:17 Mais quand tu jeûnes, parfume ta tête et lave ton visage,
Matthew 6:18 So that no one may see that you are going without food, but your Father in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will give you your reward.	Matthieu 6:18 afin de ne pas montrer aux hommes que tu jeûnes, mais à ton Père qui est là dans le lieu secret; et ton Père, qui voit dans le secret, te le rendra.
Matthew 6:19 Make no store of wealth for yourselves on earth, where it may be turned to dust by worms and weather, and where thieves may come in by force and take it away.	Matthieu 6:19 Ne vous amassez pas des trésors sur la terre, où la teigne et la rouille détruisent, et où les voleurs percent et dérobent;
Matthew 6:20 But make a store for yourselves in heaven, where it will not be turned to dust and where thieves do not come in to take it away:	Matthieu 6:20 mais amassez-vous des trésors dans le ciel, où la teigne et la rouille ne détruisent point, et où les voleurs ne percent ni ne dérobent.
Matthew 6:21 For where your wealth is, there will your heart be.	Matthieu 6:21 Car là où est ton trésor, là aussi sera ton coeur.
Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye; if then your eye is true, all your body will be full of light.	Matthieu 6:22 L`oeil est la lampe du corps. Si ton oeil est en bon état, tout ton corps sera éclairé;
Matthew 6:23 But if your eye is evil, all your body will be dark. If then the light which is in you is dark, how dark it will be!	Matthieu 6:23 mais si ton oeil est en mauvais état, tout ton corps sera dans les ténèbres. Si donc la lumière qui est en toi est ténèbres, combien seront grandes ces ténèbres!
Matthew 6:24 No man is able to be a servant to two masters: for he will have hate for the one and love for the other, or he will keep to one and have no respect for the other. You may not be servants of God and of wealth.	Matthieu 6:24 Nul ne peut servir deux maîtres. Car, ou il haïra l`un, et aimera l`autre; ou il s`attachera à l`un, et méprisera l`autre. Vous ne pouvez servir Dieu et Mamon.
Matthew 6:25 So I say to you, Take no thought for your life, about food or drink, or about clothing for your body. Is not life more than food, and the body more than its clothing?	Matthieu 6:25 C`est pourquoi je vous dis: Ne vous inquiétez pas pour votre vie de ce que vous mangerez, ni pour votre corps, de quoi vous serez vêtus. La vie n`est-elle pas plus que la nourriture, et le corps plus que le vêtement?
Matthew 6:26 See the birds of heaven; they do not put seeds in the earth, they do not get in grain, or put it in store-houses; and your Father in heaven gives them food. Are you not of much more value than they?	Matthieu 6:26 Regardez les oiseaux du ciel: ils ne sèment ni ne moissonnent, et ils n`amassent rien dans des greniers; et votre Père céleste les nourrit. Ne valez-vous pas beaucoup plus qu`eux?
Matthew 6:27 And which of you by taking thought is able to make himself a cubit taller?	Matthieu 6:27 Qui de vous, par ses inquiétudes, peut ajouter une coudée à la durée de sa vie?
Matthew 6:28 And why are you troubled about clothing? See the flowers of the field, how they come up; they do no work, they make no thread:	Matthieu 6:28 Et pourquoi vous inquiéter au sujet du vêtement? Considérez comment croissent les lis des champs: ils ne travaillent ni ne filent;
Matthew 6:29 But I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.	Matthieu 6:29 cependant je vous dis que Salomon même, dans toute sa gloire, n`a pas été vêtu comme l`un d`eux.
Matthew 6:30 But if God gives such clothing to the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is put into the oven, will he not much more give you clothing, O you of little faith?	Matthieu 6:30 Si Dieu revêt ainsi l`herbe des champs, qui existe aujourd`hui et qui demain sera jetée au four, ne vous vêtira-t-il pas à plus forte raison, gens de peu de foi?
Matthew 6:31 Then do not be full of care, saying, What are we to have for food or drink? or, With what may we be clothed?	Matthieu 6:31 Ne vous inquiétez donc point, et ne dites pas: Que mangerons-nous? que boirons-nous? de quoi serons-nous vêtus?
Matthew 6:32 Because the Gentiles go in search of all these things: for your Father in heaven has knowledge that you have need of all these things:	Matthieu 6:32 Car toutes ces choses, ce sont les païens qui les recherchent. Votre Père céleste sait que vous en avez besoin.
Matthew 6:33 But let your first care be for his kingdom and his righteousness; and all these other things will be given to you in addition.	Matthieu 6:33 Cherchez premièrement le royaume et la justice de Dieu; et toutes ces choses vous seront données par-dessus.
Matthew 6:34 Then have no care for tomorrow: tomorrow will take care of itself. Take the trouble of the day as it comes.	Matthieu 6:34 Ne vous inquiétez donc pas du lendemain; car le lendemain aura soin de lui-même. A chaque jour suffit sa peine.
