Hosea 12:1 Ephraim's food is the wind, and he goes after the east wind: deceit and destruction are increasing day by day; they make an agreement with Assyria, and take oil into Egypt.	Hosea 12:1 Ephraim weidet sich am Winde und läuft dem Ostwind nach und macht täglich der Abgötterei und des Schadens mehr; sie machen mit Assur einen Bund und bringen Balsam nach Ägypten.
Hosea 12:2 The Lord has a cause against Judah, and will give punishment to Jacob for his ways; he will give him the reward of his acts.	Hosea 12:2 Darum wird der HERR mit Juda rechten und Jakob heimsuchen nach seinem Wesen und ihm vergelten nach seinem Verdienst.
Hosea 12:3 In the body of his mother he took his brother by the foot, and in his strength he was fighting with God;	Hosea 12:3 Er hat in Mutterleibe seinen Bruder an der Ferse gehalten, und in seiner Kraft hat er mit Gott gekämpft.
Hosea 12:4 He had a fight with the angel and overcame him; he made request for grace to him with weeping; he came face to face with him in Beth-el and there his words came to him;	Hosea 12:4 Er kämpfte mit dem Engel und siegte, denn er weinte und bat ihn; auch hat er ihn ja zu Beth-El gefunden, und daselbst hat er mit uns geredet.
Hosea 12:5 Even the Lord, the God of armies; the Lord is his name.	Hosea 12:5 Aber der HERR ist der Gott Zebaoth; HERR ist sein Name.
Hosea 12:6 So then, come back to your God; keep mercy and right, and be waiting at all times on your God.	Hosea 12:6 So bekehre dich nun zu deinem Gott, und halte Barmherzigkeit und Recht und hoffe stets auf deinen Gott.
Hosea 12:7 As for Canaan, the scales of deceit are in his hands; he takes pleasure in twisted ways.	Hosea 12:7 Aber Kanaan hat eine falsche Waage in seiner Hand und betrügt gern.
Hosea 12:8 And Ephraim said, Now I have got wealth and much property; in all my works no sin may be seen in me.	Hosea 12:8 Und Ephraim spricht: Ich bin reich, ich habe genug; man wird in aller meiner Arbeit keine Missetat finden, die Sünde sei.
Hosea 12:9 But I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt; I will give you tents for your living-places again as in the days of the holy meeting.	Hosea 12:9 Ich aber, der HERR, bin dein Gott aus Ägyptenland her, und der dich noch in den Hütten wohnen läßt, wie man zur Festzeit pflegt,
Hosea 12:10 My word came to the ears of the prophets and I gave them visions in great number, and by the mouths of the prophets I made use of comparisons.	Hosea 12:10 und rede zu den Propheten; und ich bin's, der so viel Weissagung gibt und durch die Propheten sich anzeigt.
Hosea 12:11 In Gilead there is evil. They are quite without value; in Gilgal they make offerings of oxen; truly their altars are like masses of stones in the hollows of a ploughed field.	Hosea 12:11 In Gilead ist Abgötterei, darum werden sie zunichte; und in Gilgal opfern sie Ochsen, darum sollen ihre Altäre werden wie die Steinhaufen an den Furchen im Felde.
Hosea 12:12 And Jacob went in flight into the field of Aram, and Israel became a servant for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.	Hosea 12:12 Jakob mußte fliehen in das Land Syrien, und Israel mußte um ein Weib dienen, und um ein Weib mußte er hüten.
Hosea 12:13 And by a prophet the Lord made Israel come up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was kept safe.	Hosea 12:13 Aber hernach führte der HERR Israel aus Ägypten durch einen Propheten und ließ ihn hüten durch einen Propheten.
Hosea 12:14 I have been bitterly moved to wrath by Ephraim; so that his blood will be on him, and the Lord will make his shame come back on him.	Hosea 12:14 Nun aber erzürnt ihn Ephraim durch seine Götzen; darum wird ihr Blut über sie kommen, und ihr HERR wird ihnen vergelten ihre Schmach, die sie ihm antun.
