Judges 1:1 Now after the death of Joshua, the children of Israel made request to the Lord, saying, Who is to go up first to make war for us against the Canaanites?	Richter 1:1 Nach dem Tod Josuas fragten die Kinder Israel den HERRN und sprachen: Wer soll unter uns zuerst hinaufziehen, Krieg zu führen wider die Kanaaniter?
Judges 1:2 And the Lord said, Judah is to go up: see, I have given the land into his hands.	Richter 1:2 Der HERR sprach: Juda soll hinaufziehen. Siehe, ich habe das Land in seine Hand gegeben.
Judges 1:3 Then Judah said to Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my heritage, so that we may make war against the Canaanites; and I will then go with you into your heritage. So Simeon went with him.	Richter 1:3 Da sprach Juda zu seinem Bruder Simeon: Zieh mit mir hinauf in mein Los und laß uns wider die Kanaaniter streiten, so will ich wieder mit dir ziehen in dein Los. Also zog Simeon mit ihm.
Judges 1:4 And Judah went up; and the Lord gave the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hands; and they overcame ten thousand of them in Bezek.	Richter 1:4 Da nun Juda hinaufzog, gab der HERR die Kanaaniter und Pheresiter in ihre Hände, und sie schlugen zu Besek zehntausend Mann.
Judges 1:5 And they came across Adoni-zedek, and made war on him; and they overcame the Canaanites and the Perizzites.	Richter 1:5 Und fanden den Adoni-Besek zu Besek und stritten wider ihn und schlugen die Kanaaniter und Pheresiter.
Judges 1:6 But Adoni-zedek went in flight; and they went after him and overtook him, and had his thumbs and his great toes cut off.	Richter 1:6 Aber Adoni-Besek floh, und sie jagten ihm nach; und da sie ihn ergriffen, hieben sie ihm die Daumen ab an seinen Händen und Füßen.
Judges 1:7 And Adoni-zedek said, Seventy kings, whose thumbs and great toes had been cut off, got broken meat under my table: as I have done, so has God done to me in full. And they took him to Jerusalem, and he came to his end there.	Richter 1:7 Da sprach Adoni-Besek: Siebzig Könige mit abgehauenen Daumen ihrer Hände und Füße lasen auf unter meinem Tisch. Wie ich nun getan habe, so hat mir Gott wieder vergolten. Und man brachte ihn gen Jerusalem; daselbst starb er.
Judges 1:8 Then the children of Judah made an attack on Jerusalem, and took it, burning down the town after they had put its people to the sword without mercy.	Richter 1:8 Aber die Kinder Juda stritten wider Jerusalem und gewannen es und schlugen es mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und zündeten die Stadt an.
Judges 1:9 After that the children of Judah went down to make war on the Canaanites living in the hill-country and in the south and in the lowlands.	Richter 1:9 Darnach zogen die Kinder Juda herab, zu streiten wider die Kanaaniter, die auf dem Gebirge und gegen Mittag und in den Gründen wohnten.
Judges 1:10 And Caleb went against the Canaanites of Hebron: (now in earlier times Hebron was named Kiriath-arba:) and he put Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai to the sword.	Richter 1:10 Und Juda zog hin wider die Kanaaniter, die zu Hebron wohnten (Hebron aber hieß vorzeiten Kirjath-Arba), und sie schlugen den Sesai und Ahiman und Thalmai.
Judges 1:11 And from there he went up against the people of Debir. (Now the name of Debir in earlier times was Kiriath-sepher.)	Richter 1:11 Und zogen von da wider die Einwohner zu Debir (Debir aber hieß vorzeiten Kirjath-Sepher).
Judges 1:12 And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.	Richter 1:12 Und Kaleb sprach: Wer Kirjath-Sepher schlägt und gewinnt, dem will ich meine Tochter Achsa zum Weibe geben.
Judges 1:13 And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, took it; so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.	Richter 1:13 Da gewann es Othniel, der Sohn des Kenas, Kalebs jüngerer Bruder. Und er gab ihm sein Tochter Achsa zum Weibe.
Judges 1:14 Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?	Richter 1:14 Und es begab sich, da sie einzog, beredete sie ihn, einen Acker zu fordern von ihrem Vater. Und sie stieg vom Esel; da sprach Kaleb zu ihr: Was ist dir?
Judges 1:15 And she said to him, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in a dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So Caleb gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.	Richter 1:15 Sie sprach: Gib mir einen Segen! Denn du hast mir ein Mittagsland gegeben; gib mir auch Wasserquellen! Da gab er ihr die Quellen oben und unten.
Judges 1:16 Now Hobab the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, had come up out of the town of palm-trees, with the children of Judah, into the waste land of Arad; and he went and was living among the Amalekites;	Richter 1:16 Und die Kinder des Keniters, Mose's Schwagers, zogen herauf aus der Palmenstadt mit den Kindern Juda in die Wüste Juda, die da liegt gegen Mittag der Stadt Arad, und gingen hin und wohnten unter dem Volk.
Judges 1:17 And Judah went with Simeon, his brother, and overcame the Canaanites living in Zephath, and put it under the curse; and he gave the town the name of Hormah.	Richter 1:17 Und Juda zog hin mit seinem Bruder Simeon, und schlugen die Kanaaniter zu Zephath und verbannten sie und nannten die Stadt Horma.
Judges 1:18 Then Judah took Gaza and its limit, and Ashkelon and its limit, and Ekron and its limit.	Richter 1:18 Dazu gewann Juda Gaza mit seinem Zugehör und Askalon mit seinem Zugehör und Ekron mit seinem Zugehör.
Judges 1:19 And the Lord was with Judah; and he took the hill-country for his heritage; but he was unable to make the people of the valley go out, for they had war-carriages of iron.	Richter 1:19 Und der HERR war mit Juda, daß er das Gebirge einnahm; denn er konnte die Einwohner im Grunde nicht vertreiben, darum daß sie eiserne Wagen hatten.
Judges 1:20 And they gave Hebron to Caleb, as Moses had said; and he took the land of the three sons of Anak, driving them out from there.	Richter 1:20 Und sie gaben dem Kaleb Hebron, wie Mose gesagt hatte; und er vertrieb daraus die drei Söhne des Enak.
Judges 1:21 And the children of Judah did not make the Jebusites who were living in Jerusalem go out; the Jebusites are still living with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem.	Richter 1:21 Aber die Kinder Benjamin vertrieben die Jebusiter nicht, die zu Jerusalem wohnten; sondern die Jebusiter wohnten bei den Kindern Benjamin zu Jerusalem bis auf diesen Tag.
Judges 1:22 And the family of Joseph went up against Beth-el, and the Lord was with them.	Richter 1:22 Desgleichen zogen auch die Kinder Joseph hinauf gen Beth-El, und der HERR war mit ihnen.
Judges 1:23 So they sent men to make a search round Beth-el. (Now the name of the town in earlier times was Luz.)	Richter 1:23 Und das Haus Josephs ließ auskundschaften Beth-El, das vorzeiten Lus hieß.
Judges 1:24 And the watchers saw a man coming out of the town, and said to him, If you will make clear to us the way into the town, we will be kind to you.	Richter 1:24 Und die Wächter sahen einen Mann aus der Stadt gehen und sprachen zu ihm: Weise uns, wo wir in die Stadt kommen, so wollen wir Barmherzigkeit an dir tun.
Judges 1:25 So he made clear to them the way into the town, and they put it to the sword; but they let the man and all his family get away safe.	Richter 1:25 Und da er ihnen zeigte, wo sie in die Stadt kämen, schlugen sie die Stadt mit der Schärfe des Schwerts; aber den Mann und all sein Geschlecht ließen sie gehen.
Judges 1:26 And he went into the land of the Hittites, building a town there and naming it Luz: which is its name to this day.	Richter 1:26 Da zog derselbe Mann ins Land der Hethiter und baute eine Stadt und hieß sie Lus; die heißt noch heutigestages also.
Judges 1:27 And Manasseh did not take away the land of the people of Beth-shean and its daughter-towns, or of Taanach and its daughter-towns, or of the people of Dor and its daughter-towns, or of the people of Ibleam and its daughter-towns, or of the people of Megiddo and its daughter-towns, driving them out; but the Canaanites would go on living in that land.	Richter 1:27 Und Manasse vertrieb nicht Beth-Sean mit den zugehörigen Orten noch Thaanach mit den zugehörigen Orten noch die Einwohner zu Dor mit den zugehörigen Orten noch die Einwohner zu Jibleam mit den zugehörigen Orten noch die Einwohner zu Megiddo mit den zugehörigen Orten; und die Kanaaniter blieben wohnen im Land.
Judges 1:28 And whenever Israel became strong, they put the Canaanites to forced work, without driving them out completely.	Richter 1:28 Da aber Israel mächtig war, machte es die Kanaaniter zinsbar und vertrieb sie nicht.
Judges 1:29 And Ephraim did not make the Canaanites who were living in Gezer go out; but the Canaanites went on living in Gezer among them.	Richter 1:29 Desgleichen vertrieb auch Ephraim die Kanaaniter nicht, die zu Geser wohnten, sondern die Kanaaniter wohnten unter ihnen zu Geser.
Judges 1:30 Zebulun did not make the people of Kitron or the people of Nahalol go out; but the Canaanites went on living among them and were put to forced work.	Richter 1:30 Sebulon vertrieb auch nicht die Einwohner von Kitron und Nahalol; sondern die Kanaaniter wohnten unter ihnen und waren zinsbar.
Judges 1:31 And Asher did not take the land of the people of Acco, or Zidon, or Ahlab, or Achzib, or Helbah, or Aphik, or Rehob, driving them out;	Richter 1:31 Asser vertrieb die Einwohner zu Akko nicht noch die Einwohner zu Sidon, zu Ahelab, zu Achsib, zu Helba, zu Aphik und zu Rehob;
Judges 1:32 But the Asherites went on living among the Canaanites, the people of the land, without driving them out.	Richter 1:32 sondern die Asseriter wohnten unter den Kanaanitern, die im Lande wohnten, denn sie vertrieben sie nicht.
Judges 1:33 Naphtali did not take the land of the people of Beth-shemesh or of Beth-anath, driving them out; but he was living among the Canaanites in the land; however, the people of Beth-shemesh and Beth-anath were put to forced work.	Richter 1:33 Naphthali vertrieb die Einwohner nicht zu Beth-Semes noch zu Beth-Anath, sondern wohnte unter den Kanaanitern, die im Lande wohnten. Aber die zu Beth-Semes und zu Beth-Anath wurden zinsbar.
Judges 1:34 And the children of Dan were forced into the hill-country by the Amorites, who would not let them come down into the valley;	Richter 1:34 Und die Amoriter drängten die Kinder Dan aufs Gebirge und ließen nicht zu, daß sie herunter in den Grund kämen.
Judges 1:35 For the Amorites would go on living in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim; but the children of Joseph became stronger than they, and put them to forced work.	Richter 1:35 Und die Amoriter blieben wohnen auf dem Gebirge Heres, zu Ajalon und Saalbim. Doch ward ihnen die Hand des Hauses Joseph zu schwer, und wurden zinsbar.
Judges 1:36 And the limit of the Edomites went from the slope of Akrabbim from Sela and up.	Richter 1:36 Und die Grenze der Amoriter war, da man nach Akrabbim hinaufgeht, von dem Fels an und weiter hinauf.
