Nehemiah 6:1 Now when word was given to Sanballat and Tobiah and to Geshem the Arabian and to the rest of our haters, that I had done the building of the wall and that there were no more broken places in it (though even then I had not put up the doors in the doorways);	Nehemia 6:1 Und da Saneballat, Tobia und Gesem, der Araber, und unsre Feinde erfuhren, daß ich die Mauer gebaut hatte und keine Lücke mehr daran wäre, wiewohl ich die Türen zu der Zeit noch nicht eingehängt hatte in den Toren,
Nehemiah 6:2 Sanballat and Geshem sent to me saying, Come, let us have a meeting in one of the little towns in the lowland of Ono. But their purpose was to do me evil.	Nehemia 6:2 sandte Sanaballat und Gesem zu mir und ließen mir sagen: Komm und laß uns zusammenkommen in den Dörfern in der Fläche Ono! Sie gedachten mir aber Böses zu tun.
Nehemiah 6:3 And I sent men to them saying, I am doing a great work, so that it is not possible for me to come down: is the work to be stopped while I go away from it and come down to you?	Nehemia 6:3 Ich aber sandte Boten zu ihnen und ließ ihnen sagen: Ich habe ein großes Geschäft auszurichten, ich kann nicht hinabkommen; es möchte das Werk nachbleiben, wo ich die Hände abtäte und zu euch hinabzöge.
Nehemiah 6:4 And four times they sent to me in this way, and I sent them the same answer.	Nehemia 6:4 Sie sandten aber viermal zu mir auf diese Weise, und ich antwortete ihnen auf diese Weise.
Nehemiah 6:5 Then Sanballat sent his servant to me a fifth time with an open letter in his hand;	Nehemia 6:5 Da sandte Saneballat zum fünftenmal zu mir seinen Diener mit einem offenen Brief in seiner Hand.
Nehemiah 6:6 And in it these words were recorded: It is said among the nations, and Geshem says so, that you and the Jews are hoping to make yourselves free from the king's authority; and that this is why you are building the wall: and they say that it is your purpose to be their king;	Nehemia 6:6 Darin war geschrieben: Es ist vor die Heiden gekommen, und Gesem hat's gesagt, daß du und die Juden gedenkt abzufallen, darum du die Mauer baust, und wollest also König werden;
Nehemiah 6:7 And that you have prophets preaching about you in Jerusalem, and saying, There is a king in Judah: now an account of these things will be sent to the king. So come now, and let us have a discussion.	Nehemia 6:7 und du habest die Propheten bestellt, die von dir ausrufen sollen zu Jerusalem und sagen: Er ist der König Juda's. Nun, solches wird vor den König kommen. So komm nun und laß uns miteinander ratschlagen!
Nehemiah 6:8 Then I sent to him, saying, No such things as you say are being done, they are only a fiction you have made up yourself.	Nehemia 6:8 Ich aber sandte zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Solches ist nicht geschehen, was du sagst; du hast es aus deinem Herzen erdacht.
Nehemiah 6:9 For they were hoping to put fear in us, saying, Their hands will become feeble and give up the work so that it may not get done. But now, O God, make my hands strong.	Nehemia 6:9 Denn sie alle wollen uns furchtsam machen und gedachten: Sie sollen die Hand abtun vom Geschäft, daß es nicht fertig werde, aber nun stärke meine Hände!
Nehemiah 6:10 And I went to the house of Shemaiah, the son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us have a meeting in the house of God, inside the Temple, and let the doors be shut: for they will come to put you to death; truly, in the night they will come to put you to death.	Nehemia 6:10 Und ich kam in das Haus Semajas, des Sohnes Delajas, des Sohnes Mehetabeels; und er hatte sich verschlossen und sprach: Laß uns zusammenkommen im Hause Gottes mitten im Tempel und die Türen zuschließen; denn sie werden kommen, dich zu erwürgen, und werden bei der Nacht kommen, daß sie dich erwürgen.
Nehemiah 6:11 And I said, Am I the sort of man to go in flight? what man, in my position, would go into the Temple to keep himself safe? I will not go in.	Nehemia 6:11 Ich aber sprach: Sollte ein solcher Mann fliehen? Sollte ein solcher Mann, wie ich bin, in den Tempel gehen, daß er lebendig bleibe? Ich will nicht hineingehen.
Nehemiah 6:12 Then it became clear to me that God had not sent him: he had given this word of a prophet against me himself: and Tobiah and Sanballat had given him money to do so.	Nehemia 6:12 Denn ich merkte, daß ihn Gott nicht gesandt hatte. Denn er sagte wohl Weissagung auf mich; aber Tobia und Saneballat hatten ihm Geld gegeben.
Nehemiah 6:13 For this reason they had given him money, in order that I might be overcome by fear and do what he said and do wrong, and so they would have reason to say evil about me and put shame on me.	Nehemia 6:13 Darum nahm er Geld, auf daß ich mich fürchten sollte und also tun und sündigen, daß sie ein böses Gerücht hätten, damit sie mich lästern möchten.
Nehemiah 6:14 Keep in mind, O my God, Tobiah and Sanballat and what they did, and Noadiah, the woman prophet, and the rest of the prophets whose purpose was to put fear into me.	Nehemia 6:14 Gedenke, mein Gott, des Tobia und Saneballat nach diesen Werken, auch der Prophetin Noadja und der anderen Propheten, die mich wollten abschrecken!
Nehemiah 6:15 So the wall was complete on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.	Nehemia 6:15 Und die Mauer ward fertig am fünfundzwanzigsten Tage des Monats Elul in zweiundfünfzig Tagen.
Nehemiah 6:16 And when our haters had news of this, all the nations round about us were full of fear and were greatly shamed, for they saw that this work had been done by our God.	Nehemia 6:16 Und da alle unsre Feinde das hörten, fürchteten sich alle Heiden, die um uns her waren, und der Mut entfiel ihnen; denn sie merkten, daß dies Werk von Gott war.
Nehemiah 6:17 And further, in those days the chiefs of Judah sent a number of letters to Tobiah, and his letters came to them.	Nehemia 6:17 Auch waren zu derselben Zeit viele der Obersten Juda's, deren Briefe gingen zu Tobia und von Tobia zu ihnen.
Nehemiah 6:18 For in Judah there were a number of people who had made an agreement by oath with him, because he was the son-in-law of Shecaniah, the son of Arah; and his son Jehohanan had taken as his wife the daughter of Meshullam, the son of Berechiah.	Nehemia 6:18 Denn ihrer waren viel in Juda, die ihm geschworen waren; denn er war der Eidam Sechanjas, des Sohnes Arahs, und sein Sohn Johanan hatte die Tochter Mesullams, des Sohnes Berechjas.
Nehemiah 6:19 And they said much before me of the good he had done, and gave him accounts of my words. And Tobiah sent letters with the purpose of causing me fear.	Nehemia 6:19 Und sie sagten Gutes von ihm vor mir und brachten meine Reden aus zu ihm. So sandte denn Tobia Briefe, mich abzuschrecken.
