Psalms 2	Psalmen 2
Psalms 2:1 Why are the nations so violently moved, and why are the thoughts of the people so foolish?	Psalmen 2:1 Warum toben die Heiden, und die Völker reden so vergeblich?
Psalms 2:2 The kings of the earth have taken their place, and the rulers are fixed in their purpose, against the Lord, and against the king of his selection, saying,	Psalmen 2:2 Die Könige der Erde lehnen sich auf, und die Herren ratschlagen miteinander wider den HERRN und seinen Gesalbten:
Psalms 2:3 Let their chains be broken, and their cords taken from off us.	Psalmen 2:3 "Lasset uns zerreißen ihre Bande und von uns werfen ihre Seile!"
Psalms 2:4 Then he whose seat is in the heavens will be laughing: the Lord will make sport of them.	Psalmen 2:4 Aber der im Himmel wohnt, lacht ihrer, und der HERR spottet ihrer.
Psalms 2:5 Then will his angry words come to their ears, and by his wrath they will be troubled:	Psalmen 2:5 Er wird einst mit ihnen reden in seinem Zorn, und mit seinem Grimm wird er sie schrecken.
Psalms 2:6 But I have put my king on my holy hill of Zion.	Psalmen 2:6 "Aber ich habe meinen König eingesetzt auf meinem heiligen Berg Zion."
Psalms 2:7 I will make clear the Lord's decision: he has said to me, You are my son, this day have I given you being.	Psalmen 2:7 Ich will von der Weisheit predigen, daß der HERR zu mir gesagt hat: "Du bist mein Sohn, heute habe ich dich gezeuget:
Psalms 2:8 Make your request to me, and I will give you the nations for your heritage, and the farthest limits of the earth will be under your hand.	Psalmen 2:8 heische von mir, so will ich dir Heiden zum Erbe geben und der Welt Enden zum Eigentum.
Psalms 2:9 They will be ruled by you with a rod of iron; they will be broken like a potter's vessel.	Psalmen 2:9 Du sollst sie mit einem eisernen Zepter zerschlagen; wie Töpfe sollst du sie zerschmeißen."
Psalms 2:10 So now be wise, you kings: take his teaching, you judges of the earth.	Psalmen 2:10 So lasset euch nun weisen, ihr Könige, und lasset euch züchtigen, ihr Richter auf Erden!
Psalms 2:11 Give worship to the Lord with fear, kissing his feet and giving him honour,	Psalmen 2:11 Dient dem HERRN mit Furcht und freut euch mit Zittern!
Psalms 2:12 For fear that he may be angry, causing destruction to come on you, because he is quickly moved to wrath. Happy are all those who put their faith in him.	Psalmen 2:12 Küßt den Sohn, daß er nicht zürne und ihr umkommt auf dem Wege; denn sein Zorn wird bald entbrennen. Aber wohl allen, die auf ihn trauen!
