| And I saw a river of water of life, clear as glass, coming out of the high seat of God and of the Lamb, | Und er zeigte mir einen lautern Strom des lebendigen Wassers, klar wie ein Kristall; der ging aus von dem Stuhl Gottes und des Lammes. |
| In the middle of its street. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, having twelve sorts of fruits, giving its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree give life to the nations. | Mitten auf ihrer Gasse auf beiden Seiten des Stroms stand Holz des Lebens, das trug zwölfmal Früchte und brachte seine Früchte alle Monate; und die Blätter des Holzes dienten zu der Gesundheit der Heiden. |
| And there will be no more curse: and the high seat of God and of the Lamb will be there; and his servants will be worshipping him; | Und es wird kein Verbanntes mehr sein. Und der Stuhl Gottes und des Lammes wird darin sein; und seine Knechte werden ihm dienen |
| And they will see his face; and his name will be on their brows. | und sehen sein Angesicht; und sein Name wird an ihren Stirnen sein. |
| And there will be no more night; and they have no need of a light or of the shining of the sun; for the Lord God will give them light: and they will be ruling for ever and ever. | Und wird keine Nacht da sein, und sie werden nicht bedürfen einer Leuchte oder des Lichts der Sonne; denn Gott der HERR wird sie erleuchten, und sie werden regieren von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit. |
| And he said to me, These words are certain and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to make clear to his servants the things which are now to come about. | Und er sprach zu mir: Diese Worte sind gewiß und wahrhaftig; und der HERR, der Gott der Geister der Propheten, hat seinen Engel gesandt, zu zeigen seinen Knechten, was bald geschehen muß. |
| See, I come quickly. A blessing on him who keeps the words of this book of the prophet. | Siehe, ich komme bald. Selig ist, der da hält die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch. |
| And I, John, am he who saw these things and to whose ears they came. And when I had seen and given ear, I went down on my face to give worship at the feet of the angel who made these things clear to me. | Und ich bin Johannes, der solches gehört hat. Und da ich's gehört und gesehen, fiel ich nieder, anzubeten zu den Füßen des Engels, der mir solches zeigte. |
| And he said to me, See you do it not; I am a brother-servant with you and with your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: give worship to God. | Und er spricht zu mir: Siehe zu, tu es nicht! denn ich bin dein Mitknecht und deiner Brüder, der Propheten, und derer, die da halten die Worte dieses Buchs. Bete Gott an! |
| And he said to me, Let not the words of this prophet's book be kept secret, because the time is near. | Und er spricht zu mir: Versiegle nicht die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch; denn die Zeit ist nahe! |
| Let the evil man go on in his evil: and let the unclean be still unclean: and let the upright go on in his righteousness: and let the holy be holy still. | Wer böse ist, der sei fernerhin böse, und wer unrein ist, der sei fernerhin unrein; aber wer fromm ist, der sei fernerhin fromm, und wer heilig ist, der sei fernerhin heilig. |
| See, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man the outcome of his works. | Siehe, ich komme bald und mein Lohn mit mir, zu geben einem jeglichen, wie seine Werke sein werden. |
| I am the First and the Last, the start and the end. | Ich bin das A und das O, der Anfang und das Ende, der Erste und der Letzte. |
| A blessing on those whose robes are washed, so that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may go in by the doors into the town. | Selig sind, die seine Gebote halten, auf daß sie Macht haben an dem Holz des Lebens und zu den Toren eingehen in die Stadt. |
| Outside are the dogs, and those who make use of evil powers, those who make themselves unclean, and the takers of life, and those who give worship to images, and everyone whose delight is in what is false. | Denn draußen sind die Hunde und die Zauberer und die Hurer und die Totschläger und die Abgöttischen und alle, die liebhaben und tun die Lüge. |
| I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give witness to you of these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. | Ich, Jesus, habe gesandt meinen Engel, solches zu bezeugen an die Gemeinden. Ich bin die Wurzel des Geschlechts David, der helle Morgenstern. |
| And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who gives ear, say, Come. And let him who is in need come; and let everyone desiring it take of the water of life freely. | Und der Geist und die Braut sprechen: Komm! Und wer es hört, der spreche: Komm! Und wen dürstet, der komme; und wer da will, der nehme das Wasser des Lebens umsonst. |
| For I say to every man to whose ears have come the words of this prophet's book, If any man makes an addition to them, God will put on him the punishments which are in this book: | Ich bezeuge allen, die da hören die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch: So jemand dazusetzt, so wird Gott zusetzen auf ihn die Plagen, die in diesem Buch geschrieben stehen. |
| And if any man takes away from the words of this book, God will take away from him his part in the tree of life and the holy town, even the things which are in this book. | Und so jemand davontut von den Worten des Buchs dieser Weissagung, so wird Gott abtun sein Teil von Holz des Lebens und von der heiligen Stadt, davon in diesem Buch geschrieben ist. |
| He who gives witness to these things says, Truly, I come quickly. Even so come, Lord Jesus. | Es spricht, der solches bezeugt: Ja, ich komme bald. Amen, ja komm, HERR Jesu! |
| The grace of the Lord Jesus be with the saints. So be it. | Die Gnade unsers HERRN Jesu Christi sei mit euch allen! Amen. |
