Acts 18:1 After these things, he went away from Athens, and came to Corinth.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:1 Dopo queste cose egli, partitosi da Atene, venne a Corinto.
Acts 18:2 And there he came across a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by birth, who not long before had come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had given orders that all Jews were to go away from Rome: and he came to them;	Atti degli Apostoli 18:2 E trovato un certo Giudeo, per nome Aquila, oriundo del Ponto, venuto di recente dall’Italia insieme con Priscilla sua moglie, perché Claudio avea comandato che tutti i Giudei se ne andassero da Roma, s’unì a loro.
Acts 18:3 And because he was of the same trade, he was living with them, and they did their work together; for by trade they were tent-makers.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:3 E siccome era del medesimo mestiere, dimorava con loro, e lavoravano; poiché, di mestiere, eran fabbricanti di tende.
Acts 18:4 And every Sabbath he had discussions in the Synagogue, turning Jews and Greeks to the faith.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:4 E ogni sabato discorreva nella sinagoga, e persuadeva Giudei e Greci.
Acts 18:5 And when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was completely given up to the word, preaching to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus. Acts 18:6 And when they put themselves against him, and said evil words, he said, shaking his clothing, Your blood be on your heads, I am clean: from now I will go to the Gentiles.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:6 Però, contrastando essi e bestemmiando, egli scosse le sue vesti e disse loro: Il vostro sangue ricada sul vostro capo; io ne son netto; da ora innanzi andrò ai Gentili.
Acts 18:7 And moving from there, he went into the house of a man named Titus Justus, a God-fearing man, whose house was very near the Synagogue. Acts 18:8 And Crispus, the ruler of the Synagogue, with all his family, had faith in the Lord; and a great number of the people of Corinth, hearing the word, had faith and were given baptism.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:8 E Crispo, il capo della sinagoga, credette nel Signore con tutta la sua casa; e molti dei Corinzi, udendo Paolo, credevano, ed eran battezzati.
Acts 18:9 And the Lord said to Paul in the night, in a vision, Have no fear and go on preaching:	Atti degli Apostoli 18:9 E il Signore disse di notte in visione a Paolo: Non temere ma parla e non tacere;
Acts 18:10 For I am with you, and no one will make an attack on you to do you damage: for I have a number of people in this town.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:10 perché io son teco, e nessuno metterà le mani su te per farti del male; poiché io ho un gran popolo in questa città.
Acts 18:11 And he was there for a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:11 Ed egli dimorò quivi un anno e sei mesi, insegnando fra loro la parola di Dio.
Acts 18:12 But when Gallio was ruler of Achaia, all the Jews together made an attack on Paul, and took him to the judge's seat,	Atti degli Apostoli 18:12 Poi, quando Gallione fu proconsole d’Acaia, i Giudei, tutti d’accordo, si levaron contro Paolo, e lo menarono dinanzi al tribunale, dicendo:
Acts 18:13 Saying, This man is teaching the people to give worship to God in a way which is against the law.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:13 Costui va persuadendo gli uomini ad adorare Iddio in modo contrario alla legge.
Acts 18:14 But when Paul was about to say something, Gallio said to the Jews, If this was anything to do with wrongdoing or crime, there would be a reason for me to give you a hearing:	Atti degli Apostoli 18:14 E come Paolo stava per aprir la bocca, Gallione disse ai Giudei: Se si trattasse di qualche ingiustizia o di qualche mala azione, o Giudei, io vi ascolterei pazientemente, come ragion vuole.
Acts 18:15 But if it is a question of words or names or of your law, see to it yourselves; I will not be a judge of such things.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:15 Ma se si tratta di questioni intorno a parole, a nomi, e alla vostra legge, provvedeteci voi; io non voglio esser giudice di codeste cose.
Acts 18:16 And he sent them away from the judge's seat.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:16 E li mandò via dal tribunale.
Acts 18:17 And they all made an attack on Sosthenes, the ruler of the Synagogue, and gave him blows before the judge's seat; but Gallio gave no attention to these things.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:17 Allora tutti, afferrato Sostene, il capo della sinagoga, lo battevano davanti al tribunale. E Gallione non si curava affatto di queste cose.
Acts 18:18 And Paul, after waiting some days, went away from the brothers and went by ship to Syria, Priscilla and Aquila being with him; and he had had his hair cut off in Cenchrea, for he had taken an oath. Acts 18:19 And they came down to Ephesus and he left them there: and he himself went into the Synagogue and had a discussion with the Jews.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:19 Come furon giunti ad Efeso, Paolo li lasciò quivi; egli, intanto, entrato nella sinagoga, si pose a discorrere coi Giudei.
Acts 18:20 And being requested by them to be there for a longer time, he said, No;	Atti degli Apostoli 18:20 E pregandolo essi di dimorare da loro più a lungo, non acconsentì;
Acts 18:21 And went from them, saying, I will come back to you if God lets me; and he took ship from Ephesus.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:21 ma dopo aver preso commiato e aver detto che, Dio volendo, sarebbe tornato da loro un’altra volta, salpò da Efeso.
Acts 18:22 And when he had come to land at Caesarea, he went to see the church, and then went down to Antioch.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:22 E sbarcato a Cesarea, salì a Gerusalemme, e salutata la chiesa, scese ad Antiochia.
Acts 18:23 And having been there for some time, he went through the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, making the disciples strong in the faith. Acts 18:24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, and a man of learning, came to Ephesus; and he had great knowledge of the holy Writings. Acts 18:25 This man had been trained in the way of the Lord; and burning in spirit, he gave himself up to teaching the facts about Jesus, though he had knowledge only of John's baptism:	Atti degli Apostoli 18:25 Egli era stato ammaestrato nella via del Signore; ed essendo fervente di spirito, parlava e insegnava accuratamente le cose relative a Gesù, benché avesse conoscenza soltanto del battesimo di Giovanni.
Acts 18:26 And he was preaching in the Synagogue without fear. But Priscilla and Aquila, hearing his words, took him in, and gave him fuller teaching about the way of God.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:26 Egli cominciò pure a parlar francamente nella sinagoga. Ma Priscilla ed Aquila, uditolo, lo presero seco e gli esposero più appieno la via di Dio.
Acts 18:27 And when he had a desire to go over into Achaia, the brothers gave him help, and sent letters to the disciples requesting them to take him in among them: and when he had come, he gave much help to those who had faith through grace:	Atti degli Apostoli 18:27 Poi, volendo egli passare in Acaia, i fratelli ve lo confortarono, e scrissero ai discepoli che l’accogliessero. Giunto là, egli fu di grande aiuto a quelli che avevan creduto mediante la grazia;
Acts 18:28 For he overcame the Jews in public discussion, making clear from the holy Writings that the Christ was Jesus.	Atti degli Apostoli 18:28 perché con gran vigore confutava pubblicamente i Giudei, dimostrando per le Scritture che Gesù è il Cristo.
