Acts 20:1 And after the noise had come to an end, Paul, having sent for the disciples and given them comfort, went away from them to Macedonia.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:1 Or dopo che fu cessato il tumulto, Paolo, fatti chiamare i discepoli ed esortatili, li abbracciò e si partì per andare in Macedonia.
Acts 20:2 And when he had gone through those parts and given them much teaching, he came into Greece.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:2 E dopo aver traversato quelle parti, e averli con molte parole esortati, venne in Grecia.
Acts 20:3 And when he had been there three months, because the Jews had made a secret design against him when he was about to take ship for Syria, he made a decision to go back through Macedonia.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:3 Quivi si fermò tre mesi; poi, avendogli i Giudei teso delle insidie mentre stava per imbarcarsi per la Siria, decise di tornare per la Macedonia.
Acts 20:4 And Sopater of Beroea, the son of Pyrrhus, and Aristarchus and Secundus of Thessalonica, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia, went with him as far as Asia.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:4 E lo accompagnarono Sòpatro di Berea, figlio di Pirro, e i Tessalonicesi Aristarco e Secondo, e Gaio di Derba e Timoteo, e della provincia d’Asia Tichico e Trofimo.
Acts 20:5 But these had gone before, and were waiting for us at Troas.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:5 Costoro, andati innanzi, ci aspettarono a Troas.
Acts 20:6 And we went away from Philippi by ship after the days of unleavened bread, and came to them at Troas in five days; and we were there for seven days.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:6 E noi, dopo i giorni degli azzimi, partimmo da Filippi, e in capo a cinque giorni li raggiungemmo a Troas, dove dimorammo sette giorni.
Acts 20:7 And on the first day of the week, when we had come together for the holy meal, Paul gave them a talk, for it was his purpose to go away on the day after; and he went on talking till after the middle of the night.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:7 E nel primo giorno della settimana, mentre eravamo radunati per rompere il pane, Paolo, dovendo partire il giorno seguente, si mise a ragionar con loro, e prolungò il suo discorso fino a mezzanotte.
Acts 20:8 And there were a number of lights in the room where we had come together.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:8 Or nella sala di sopra, dove eravamo radunati, c’erano molte lampade;
Acts 20:9 And a certain young man named Eutychus, who was seated in the window, went into a deep sleep; and while Paul went on talking, being overcome by sleep, he had a fall from the third floor, and was taken up dead.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:9 e un certo giovinetto, chiamato Eutico, che stava seduto sul davanzale della finestra, fu preso da profondo sonno; e come Paolo tirava in lungo il suo dire, sopraffatto dal sonno, cadde giù dal terzo piano, e fu levato morto.
Acts 20:10 And Paul went down and, falling on him, took him in his arms and said, Do not be troubled, for his life is in him.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:10 Ma Paolo, sceso a basso, si buttò su di lui, e abbracciatolo, disse: Non fate tanto strepito, perché l’anima sua e in lui.
Acts 20:11 And when he had gone up, and had taken the broken bread, he went on talking to them for a long time, even till dawn, and then he went away.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:11 Ed essendo risalito, ruppe il pane e prese cibo; e dopo aver ragionato lungamente sino all’alba, senz’altro si partì.
Acts 20:12 And they took the boy in, living, and were greatly comforted.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:12 Il ragazzo poi fu ricondotto vivo, ed essi ne furono oltre modo consolati.
Acts 20:13 But we, going before him by ship, went to Assos with the purpose of taking Paul in there: for so he had given orders, because he himself was coming by land.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:13 Quanto a noi, andati innanzi a bordo, navigammo verso Asso, con intenzione di prender quivi Paolo con noi; poiché egli avea fissato così, volendo fare quel tragitto per terra.
Acts 20:14 And when he came up with us at Assos, we took him in the ship and went on to Mitylene.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:14 E avendoci incontrati ad Asso, lo prendemmo con noi, e venimmo a Mitilene.
Acts 20:15 And going from there by sea, we came on the day after opposite Chios, and touching at Samos on the day after that, we came on the third day to Miletus.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:15 E di là, navigando, arrivammo il giorno dopo dirimpetto a Chio; e il giorno seguente approdammo a Samo, e il giorno dipoi giungemmo a Mileto.
Acts 20:16 For Paul's purpose was to go past Ephesus, so that he might not be kept in Asia; for he was going quickly, in order, if possible, to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:16 Poiché Paolo avea deliberato di navigare oltre Efeso, per non aver a consumar tempo in Asia; giacché si affrettava per trovarsi, se gli fosse possibile, a Gerusalemme il giorno della Pentecoste.
Acts 20:17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus for the rulers of the church.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:17 E da Mileto mandò ad Efeso a far chiamare gli anziani della chiesa.
Acts 20:18 And when they had come, he said to them, You yourselves have seen what my life has been like all the time from the day when I first came into Asia,	Atti degli Apostoli 20:18 E quando furon venuti a lui, egli disse loro: Voi sapete in qual maniera, dal primo giorno che entrai nell’Asia, io mi son sempre comportato con voi,
Acts 20:19 Doing the Lord's work without pride, through all the sorrow and troubles which came on me because of the evil designs of the Jews:	Atti degli Apostoli 20:19 servendo al Signore con ogni umiltà, e con lacrime, fra le prove venutemi dalle insidie dei Giudei;
Acts 20:20 And how I kept back nothing which might be of profit to you, teaching you publicly and privately,	Atti degli Apostoli 20:20 come io non mi son tratto indietro dall’annunziarvi e dall’insegnarvi in pubblico e per le case, cosa alcuna di quelle che vi fossero utili,
Acts 20:21 Preaching to Jews and to Greeks the need for a turning of the heart to God, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:21 scongiurando Giudei e Greci a ravvedersi dinanzi a Dio e a credere nel Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.
Acts 20:22 And now, as you see, I am going to Jerusalem, a prisoner in spirit, having no knowledge of what will come to me there:	Atti degli Apostoli 20:22 Ed ora, ecco, vincolato nel mio spirito, io vo a Gerusalemme, non sapendo le cose che quivi mi avverranno;
Acts 20:23 Only that the Holy Spirit makes clear to me in every town that prison and pains are waiting for me.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:23 salvo che lo Spirito Santo mi attesta in ogni città che legami ed afflizioni m’aspettano.
Acts 20:24 But I put no value on my life, if only at the end of it I may see the work complete which was given to me by the Lord Jesus, to be a witness of the good news of the grace of God.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:24 Ma io non fo alcun conto della vita, quasi mi fosse cara, pur di compiere il mio corso e il ministerio che ho ricevuto dal Signor Gesù, che è di testimoniare dell’Evangelo della grazia di Dio.
Acts 20:25 And now I am conscious that you, among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom, will not see my face again.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:25 Ed ora, ecco, io so che voi tutti fra i quali sono passato predicando il Regno, non vedrete più la mia faccia.
Acts 20:26 And so I say to you this day that I am clean from the blood of all men.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:26 Perciò io vi protesto quest’oggi che son netto del sangue di tutti;
Acts 20:27 For I have not kept back from you anything of the purpose of God.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:27 perché io non mi son tratto indietro dall’annunziarvi tutto il consiglio di Dio.
Acts 20:28 Give attention to yourselves, and to all the flock which the Holy Spirit has given into your care, to give food to the church of God, for which he gave his blood.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:28 Badate a voi stessi e a tutto il gregge, in mezzo al quale lo Spirito Santo vi ha costituiti vescovi, per pascere la chiesa di Dio, la quale egli ha acquistata col proprio sangue.
Acts 20:29 I am conscious that after I am gone, evil wolves will come in among you, doing damage to the flock;	Atti degli Apostoli 20:29 Io so che dopo la mia partenza entreranno fra voi de’ lupi rapaci, i quali non risparmieranno il gregge;
Acts 20:30 And from among yourselves will come men who will give wrong teaching, turning away the disciples after them.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:30 e di fra voi stessi sorgeranno uomini che insegneranno cose perverse per trarre i discepoli dietro a sé.
Acts 20:31 So keep watch, having in mind that for three years without resting I was teaching every one of you, day and night, with weeping.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:31 Perciò vegliate, ricordandovi che per lo spazio di tre anni, notte e giorno, non ho cessato d’ammonire ciascuno con lacrime.
Acts 20:32 And now, I give you into the care of God and the word of his grace, which is able to make you strong and to give you your heritage among all the saints.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:32 E ora, io vi raccomando a Dio e alla parola della sua grazia; a lui che può edificarvi e darvi l’eredità con tutti i santificati.
Acts 20:33 I have had no desire for any man's silver or gold or clothing.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:33 Io non ho bramato né l’argento, né l’oro, né il vestito d’alcuno.
Acts 20:34 You yourselves have seen that with these hands I got what was necessary for me and those who were with me.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:34 Voi stessi sapete che queste mani hanno provveduto ai bisogni miei e di coloro che eran meco.
Acts 20:35 In all things I was an example to you of how, in your lives, you are to give help to the feeble, and keep in memory the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, There is a greater blessing in giving than in getting.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:35 In ogni cosa vi ho mostrato ch’egli è con l’affaticarsi così, che bisogna venire in aiuto ai deboli, e ricordarsi delle parole del Signor Gesù, il quale disse egli stesso: Più felice cosa è il dare che il ricevere.
Acts 20:36 And having said these words, he went down on his knees in prayer with them all.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:36 Quando ebbe dette queste cose, si pose in ginocchio e pregò con tutti loro.
Acts 20:37 And they were all weeping, falling on Paul's neck and kissing him,	Atti degli Apostoli 20:37 E si fece da tutti un gran piangere; e gettatisi al collo di Paolo, lo baciavano,
Acts 20:38 Being sad most of all because he had said that they would not see his face again. And so they went with him to the ship.	Atti degli Apostoli 20:38 dolenti sopra tutto per la parola che avea detta, che non vedrebbero più la sua faccia. E l’accompagnarono alla nave.
