Acts 7:1 Then the high priest said, Are these things true?	Atti degli Apostoli 7:1 E il sommo sacerdote disse: Stanno queste cose proprio così?
Acts 7:2 And he said, My brothers and fathers, give hearing. The God of glory came to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he was living in Haran,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:2 Ed egli disse: Fratelli e padri, ascoltate. L’Iddio della gloria apparve ad Abramo, nostro padre, mentr’egli era in Mesopotamia, prima che abitasse in Carran,
Acts 7:3 And said to him, Go out of your land, and away from your family, and come into the land to which I will be your guide.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:3 e gli disse: Esci dal tuo paese e dal tuo parentado, e vieni nel paese che io ti mostrerò.
Acts 7:4 Then he came out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and went into Haran; and from there, when his father was dead, he was guided by God into this land, where you are living now:	Atti degli Apostoli 7:4 Allora egli uscì dal paese de’ Caldei, e abitò in Carran; e di là, dopo che suo padre fu morto, Iddio lo fece venire in questo paese, che ora voi abitate.
Acts 7:5 And God gave him no heritage in it, not even enough to put his foot on: but he gave him an undertaking that he would give it to him and to his children after him, though he had no child at that time. Acts 7:6 And God said that his seed would be living in a strange land, and that they would make them servants, and be cruel to them for four hundred years.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:6 E Dio parlò così: La sua progenie soggiornerà in terra straniera, e sarà ridotta in servitù e maltrattata per quattrocent’anni.
Acts 7:7 And I will be the judge, said God, of that nation which made them servants: and after that, they will come out and give me worship in this place.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:7 Ma io giudicherò la nazione alla quale avranno servito, disse Iddio; e dopo questo essi partiranno e mi renderanno il loro culto in questo luogo.
Acts 7:8 And he made with him the agreement of which circumcision was the sign. And so Abraham had a son, Isaac, and gave him circumcision on the eighth day; and Isaac had a son, Jacob, and Jacob was the father of the twelve heads of the families of Israel.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:8 E gli dette il patto della circoncisione; e così Abramo generò Isacco, e lo circoncise l’ottavo giorno; e Isacco generò Giacobbe, e Giacobbe i dodici patriarchi.
Acts 7:9 And the brothers, moved with envy against Joseph, gave him to the Egyptians for money: but God was with him,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:9 E i patriarchi, portando invidia a Giuseppe, lo venderono perché fosse menato in Egitto; ma Dio era con lui,
Acts 7:10 And made him free from all his troubles, and gave him wisdom and the approval of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him ruler over Egypt and all his house.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:10 e lo liberò da tutte le sue distrette, e gli diede grazia e sapienza davanti a Faraone, re d’Egitto, che lo costituì governatore dell’Egitto e di tutta la sua casa.
Acts 7:11 Now there was no food to be had in all Egypt and Canaan, and there was great trouble: and our fathers were not able to get food.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:11 Or sopravvenne una carestia e una gran distretta in tutto l’Egitto e in Canaan; e i nostri padri non trovavano viveri.
Acts 7:12 But Jacob, hearing that there was grain in Egypt, sent out our fathers the first time.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:12 Ma avendo Giacobbe udito che in Egitto v’era del grano, vi mandò una prima volta i nostri padri.
Acts 7:13 And the second time his brothers had a meeting with Joseph, and Pharaoh had knowledge of Joseph's family.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:13 E la seconda volta, Giuseppe fu riconosciuto dai suoi fratelli, e Faraone conobbe di che stirpe fosse Giuseppe.
Acts 7:14 Then Joseph sent for Jacob his father and all his family, seventy-five persons.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:14 E Giuseppe mandò a chiamare Giacobbe suo padre, e tutto il suo parentado, che era di settantacinque anime.
Acts 7:15 And Jacob went down to Egypt, and came to his end there, and so did our fathers;	Atti degli Apostoli 7:15 E Giacobbe scese in Egitto, e morirono egli e i padri nostri,
Acts 7:16 And they were taken over to Shechem, and put to rest in the place which Abraham got for a price in silver from the sons of Hamor in Shechem.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:16 i quali furon trasportati a Sichem, e posti nel sepolcro che Abramo avea comprato a prezzo di danaro dai figliuoli di Emmor in Sichem.
Acts 7:17 But when the time was near for putting into effect the undertaking which God had given to Abraham, the people were increasing in Egypt,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:17 Ma come si avvicinava il tempo della promessa che Dio aveva fatta ad Abramo, il popolo crebbe e moltiplicò in Egitto,
Acts 7:18 Till another king came to power, who had no knowledge of Joseph.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:18 finché sorse sull’Egitto un altro re, che non sapeva nulla di Giuseppe.
Acts 7:19 He, having evil designs against our nation, was cruel to our fathers, and they were forced to put out their young children, so that they might not go on living.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:19 Costui, procedendo con astuzia contro la nostra stirpe, trattò male i nostri padri, li costrinse ad esporre i loro piccoli fanciulli perché non vivessero.
Acts 7:20 At which time Moses came to birth, and he was very beautiful; and he was kept for three months in his father's house:	Atti degli Apostoli 7:20 In quel tempo nacque Mosè, ed era divinamente bello; e fu nutrito per tre mesi in casa di suo padre;
Acts 7:21 And when he was put out, Pharaoh's daughter took him and kept him as her son.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:21 e quando fu esposto, la figliuola di Faraone lo raccolse e se lo allevò come figliuolo.
Acts 7:22 And Moses was trained in all the wisdom of Egypt, and was great in his words and works.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:22 E Mosè fu educato in tutta la sapienza degli Egizi ed era potente nelle sue parole ed opere.
Acts 7:23 But when he was almost forty years old, it came into his heart to go and see his brothers, the children of Israel.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:23 Ma quando fu pervenuto all’età di quarant’anni, gli venne in animo d’andare a visitare i suoi fratelli, i figliuoli d’Israele.
Acts 7:24 And seeing one of them being attacked, he went to his help and gave the Egyptian a death-blow:	Atti degli Apostoli 7:24 E vedutone uno a cui era fatto torto, lo difese e vendicò l’oppresso, uccidendo l’Egizio.
Acts 7:25 And he was hoping that his brothers would see that God had sent him to be their saviour; but they did not see.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:25 Or egli pensava che i suoi fratelli intenderebbero che Dio li voleva salvare per mano di lui; ma essi non l’intesero.
Acts 7:26 And the day after, he came to them, while they were having a fight, and would have made peace between them, saying, Sirs, you are brothers; why do you do wrong to one another?	Atti degli Apostoli 7:26 E il giorno seguente egli comparve fra loro, mentre contendevano, e cercava di riconciliarli, dicendo: O uomini, voi siete fratelli, perché fate torto gli uni agli altri?
Acts 7:27 But the man who was doing wrong to his neighbour, pushing him away, said, Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?	Atti degli Apostoli 7:27 Ma colui che facea torto al suo prossimo lo respinse dicendo: Chi ti ha costituito rettore e giudice su noi?
Acts 7:28 Will you put me to death as you did the Egyptian yesterday?	Atti degli Apostoli 7:28 Vuoi tu uccider me come ieri uccidesti l’Egizio?
Acts 7:29 And at these words, Moses went in flight to the land of Midian, and was living there for a time, and had two sons.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:29 A questa parola Mosè fuggì, e dimorò come forestiero nel paese di Madian, dove ebbe due figliuoli.
Acts 7:30 At the end of forty years, an angel came to him in the waste land of Sinai, in the flame of a burning thorn-tree.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:30 E in capo a quarant’anni, un angelo gli apparve nel deserto del monte Sinai, nella fiamma d’un pruno ardente.
Acts 7:31 And Moses, seeing it, was full of wonder, and when he came up to have a nearer view of it, the voice of the Lord came to him, saying,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:31 E Mosè, veduto ciò, si maravigliò della visione; e come si accostava per osservare, si fece udire questa voce del Signore:
Acts 7:32 I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob. And Moses, shaking with fear, kept his eyes from looking at it.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:32 Io son l’Iddio de’ tuoi padri, l’Iddio d’Abramo, d’Isacco e di Giacobbe. E Mosè, tutto tremante, non ardiva osservare.
Acts 7:33 And the Lord said, Take off the shoes from your feet, for the place where you are is holy.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:33 E il Signore gli disse: Sciogliti i calzari dai piedi; perché il luogo dove stai è terra santa.
Acts 7:34 Truly, I have seen the sorrows of my people in Egypt, and their cries have come to my ears, and I have come down to make them free: and now, come, I will send you to Egypt.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:34 Certo, io ho veduto l’afflizione del mio popolo che è in Egitto, e ho udito i loro sospiri, e son disceso per liberarli; or dunque vieni; io ti manderò in Egitto.
Acts 7:35 This Moses, whom they would not have, saying, Who made you a ruler and a judge? him God sent to be a ruler and a saviour, by the hand of the angel whom he saw in the thorn-tree.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:35 Quel Mosè che aveano rinnegato dicendo: Chi ti ha costituito rettore e giudice? Iddio lo mandò loro come capo e come liberatore con l’aiuto dell’angelo che gli era apparito nel pruno.
Acts 7:36 This man took them out, having done wonders and signs in Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the waste land, for forty years.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:36 Egli li condusse fuori, avendo fatto prodigi e segni nel paese di Egitto, nel mar Rosso e nel deserto per quaranta anni.
Acts 7:37 This is the same Moses, who said to the children of Israel, God will give you a prophet from among your brothers, like me.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:37 Questi è il Mosè che disse ai figliuoli d’Israele: Il Signore Iddio vostro vi susciterà un Profeta d’infra i vostri fratelli, come me.
Acts 7:38 This is the man who was in the church in the waste land with the angel who was talking to him in Sinai, and with our fathers; and to him were given the living words of God, so that he might give them to you.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:38 Questi è colui che nell’assemblea del deserto fu con l’angelo che gli parlava sul monte Sinai, e co’ padri nostri, e che ricevette rivelazioni viventi per darcele.
Acts 7:39 By whom our fathers would not be controlled; but they put him on one side, turning back in their hearts to Egypt,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:39 A lui i nostri padri non vollero essere ubbidienti, ma lo ripudiarono, e rivolsero i loro cuori all’Egitto,
Acts 7:40 And saying to Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: as for this Moses, who took us out of the land of Egypt, we have no idea what has become of him.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:40 dicendo ad Aronne: Facci degl’iddii che vadano davanti a noi; perché quant’è a questo Mosè che ci ha condotti fuori del paese d’Egitto, noi non sappiamo quel che ne sia avvenuto.
Acts 7:41 And they made the image of a young ox in those days, and made an offering to it, and had joy in the work of their hands.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:41 E in quei giorni fecero un vitello, e offersero un sacrificio all’idolo, e si rallegrarono delle opere delle loro mani.
Acts 7:42 But God was turned from them and let them give worship to the stars of heaven, as it says in the book of the prophets, Did you make offerings to me of sheep and oxen for forty years in the waste land, O house of Israel?	Atti degli Apostoli 7:42 Ma Dio si rivolse da loro e li abbandonò al culto dell’esercito del cielo, com’è scritto nel libro dei profeti: Casa d’Israele, mi offriste voi vittime e sacrifici durante quarant’anni nel deserto?
Acts 7:43 And you took up the tent of Moloch and the star of the god Rephan, images which you made to give worship to them: and I will take you away, farther than Babylon.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:43 Anzi, voi portaste la tenda di Moloc e la stella del dio Romfàn, immagini che voi faceste per adorarle. Perciò io vi trasporterò al di là di Babilonia.
Acts 7:44 Our fathers had the Tent of witness in the waste land, as God gave orders to Moses to make it after the design which he had seen.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:44 Il tabernacolo della testimonianza fu coi nostri padri nel deserto, come avea comandato Colui che avea detto a Mosè che lo facesse secondo il modello che avea veduto.
Acts 7:45 Which our fathers, in their turn, took with them when, with Joshua, they came into the heritage of the nations whom God was driving out before the face of our fathers, till the time of David,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:45 E i nostri padri, guidati da Giosuè, ricevutolo, lo introdussero nel paese posseduto dalle genti che Dio scacciò d’innanzi ai nostri padri. Quivi rimase fino ai giorni di Davide,
Acts 7:46 Who was pleasing to God; and he had a desire to make a holy tent for the God of Jacob.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:46 il quale trovò grazia nel cospetto di Dio, e chiese di preparare una dimora all’Iddio di Giacobbe.
Acts 7:47 But Solomon was the builder of his house.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:47 Ma Salomone fu quello che gli edificò una casa.
Acts 7:48 But still, the Most High has not his resting-place in houses made with hands, as the prophet says,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:48 L’Altissimo però non abita in templi fatti da man d’uomo, come dice il profeta:
Acts 7:49 Heaven is the seat of my power, and earth is a resting-place for my feet: what sort of house will you make for me, says the Lord, or what is my place of rest?	Atti degli Apostoli 7:49 Il cielo è il mio trono, e la terra lo sgabello de’ miei piedi. Qual casa mi edificherete voi? dice il Signore; o qual sarà il luogo del mio riposo?
Acts 7:50 Did not my hand make all these things?	Atti degli Apostoli 7:50 Non ha la mia mano fatte tutte queste cose?
Acts 7:51 You whose hearts are hard and whose ears are shut to me; you are ever working against the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:51 Gente di collo duro e incirconcisa di cuore e d’orecchi, voi contrastate sempre allo Spirito Santo; come fecero i padri vostri, così fate anche voi.
Acts 7:52 Which of the prophets was not cruelly attacked by your fathers? and they put to death those who gave them the news of the coming of the Upright One; whom you have now given up and put to death;	Atti degli Apostoli 7:52 Qual dei profeti non perseguitarono i padri vostri? E uccisero quelli che preannunziavano la venuta del Giusto, del quale voi ora siete stati i traditori e gli uccisori;
Acts 7:53 You, to whom the law was given as it was ordered by angels, and who have not kept it.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:53 voi, che avete ricevuto la legge promulgata dagli angeli, e non l’avete osservata.
Acts 7:54 Hearing these things, they were cut to the heart and moved with wrath against him.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:54 Essi, udendo queste cose, fremevan di rabbia ne’ loro cuori e digrignavano i denti contro di lui.
Acts 7:55 But he was full of the Holy Spirit, and looking up to heaven, he saw the glory of God and Jesus at the right hand of God.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:55 Ma egli, essendo pieno dello Spirito Santo, fissati gli occhi al cielo, vide la gloria di Dio e Gesù che stava alla destra di Dio,
Acts 7:56 And he said, Now I see heaven open, and the Son of man at the right hand of God.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:56 e disse: Ecco, io vedo i cieli aperti, e il Figliuol dell’uomo in piè alla destra di Dio.
Acts 7:57 But with loud cries, and stopping their ears, they made an attack on him all together,	Atti degli Apostoli 7:57 Ma essi, gettando di gran gridi, si turarono gli orecchi, e tutti insieme si avventarono sopra lui;
Acts 7:58 Driving him out of the town and stoning him: and the witnesses put their clothing at the feet of a young man named Saul.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:58 e cacciatolo fuor della città, si diedero a lapidarlo; e i testimoni deposero le loro vesti ai piedi di un giovane, chiamato Saulo.
Acts 7:59 And Stephen, while he was being stoned, made prayer to God, saying, Lord Jesus, take my spirit.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:59 E lapidavano Stefano che invocava Gesù e diceva: Signor Gesù, ricevi il mio spirito.
Acts 7:60 And going down on his knees, he said in a loud voice, Lord, do not make them responsible for this sin. And when he had said this, he went to his rest.	Atti degli Apostoli 7:60 Poi, postosi in ginocchio, gridò ad alta voce: Signore, non imputar loro questo peccato. E detto questo si addormentò.
