Daniel 5:1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, drinking wine before the thousand.	Daniele 5:1 Il re Belsatsar fece un gran convito a mille de’ suoi grandi; e bevve del vino in presenza dei mille.
Daniel 5:2 Belshazzar, while he was overcome with wine, gave orders for them to put before him the gold and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar, his father, had taken from the Temple in Jerusalem; so that the king and his lords, his wives and his other women, might take their drink from them.	Daniele 5:2 Belsatsar, mentre stava assaporando il vino, ordinò che si recassero i vasi d’oro e d’argento che Nebucadnetsar suo padre aveva portati via dal tempio di Gerusalemme, perché il re, i suoi grandi, le sue mogli e le sue concubine se ne servissero per bere.
Daniel 5:3 Then they took in the gold and silver vessels which had been in the Temple of the house of God at Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives and his other women, took wine from them.	Daniele 5:3 Allora furono recati i vasi d’oro ch’erano stati portati via dal tempio, dalla casa di Dio, ch’era in Gerusalemme; e il re, i suoi grandi, le sue mogli e le sue concubine se ne servirono per bere.
Daniel 5:4 They took their wine and gave praise to the gods of gold and silver, of brass and iron and wood and stone.	Daniele 5:4 Bevvero del vino e lodarono gli dèi d’oro, d’argento, di rame, di ferro, di legno e di pietra.
Daniel 5:5 In that very hour the fingers of a man's hand were seen, writing opposite the support for the light on the white wall of the king's house, and the king saw the part of the hand which was writing.	Daniele 5:5 In quel momento apparvero delle dita d’una mano d’uomo, che si misero a scrivere difaccia al candelabro, sull’intonaco della parete del palazzo reale. E il re vide quel mozzicone di mano che scriveva.
Daniel 5:6 Then the colour went from the king's face, and he was troubled by his thoughts; strength went from his body, and his knees were shaking.	Daniele 5:6 Allora il re mutò di colore, e i suoi pensieri lo spaventarono; le giunture de’ suoi fianchi si rilassarono, e i suoi ginocchi cominciarono ad urtarsi l’uno contro l’altro.
Daniel 5:7 The king, crying out with a loud voice, said that the users of secret arts, the Chaldaeans, and the readers of signs, were to be sent for. The king made answer and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whoever is able to make out this writing, and make clear to me the sense of it, will be clothed in purple and have a chain of gold round his neck, and will be a ruler of high authority in the kingdom.	Daniele 5:7 Il re gridò forte che si facessero entrare gl’incantatori, i Caldei e gli astrologi; e il re prese a dire ai savi di Babilonia: "Chiunque leggerà questo scritto e me ne darà l’interpretazione sarà rivestito di porpora, avrà al collo una collana d’oro, e sarà terzo nel governo del regno".
Daniel 5:8 Then all the king's wise men came in: but they were not able to make out the writing or give the sense of it to the king.	Daniele 5:8 Allora entrarono tutti i savi del re; ma non poteron leggere lo scritto, né darne al re l’interpretazione.
Daniel 5:9 Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled and the colour went from his face, and his lords were at a loss.	Daniele 5:9 Allora il re Belsatsar fu preso da grande spavento, mutò di colore, e i suoi grandi furono costernati.
Daniel 5:10 The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the house of the feast: the queen made answer and said, O King, have life for ever; do not be troubled by your thoughts or let the colour go from your face:	Daniele 5:10 La regina, com’ebbe udito le parole del re e dei suoi grandi, entrò nella sala del convito. La regina prese a dire: "O re, possa tu vivere in perpetuo! I tuoi pensieri non ti spaventino, e non mutar di colore!
Daniel 5:11 There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, light and reason like the wisdom of the gods were seen in him: and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father, made him master of the wonder-workers, and the users of secret arts, and the Chaldaeans, and the readers of signs;	Daniele 5:11 C’è un uomo nel tuo regno, in cui è lo spirito degli dei santi; e al tempo di tuo padre si trovò in lui una luce, un intelletto e una sapienza, pari alla sapienza degli dèi; e il re Nebucadnetsar tuo padre, il padre tuo, o re, lo stabilì capo dei magi, degli incantatori, de’ Caldei e degli astrologi,
Daniel 5:12 Because a most special spirit, and knowledge and reason and the power of reading dreams and unfolding dark sayings and answering hard questions, were seen to be in him, even in Daniel (named Belteshazzar by the king): now let Daniel be sent for, and he will make clear the sense of the writing.	Daniele 5:12 perché in lui, in questo Daniele, a cui il re avea posto nome Beltsatsar, fu trovato uno spirito straordinario, conoscenza, intelletto, facoltà d’interpretare i sogni, di spiegare enigmi, e di risolvere questioni difficili. Si chiami dunque Daniele ed egli darà l’interpretazione".
Daniel 5:13 Then they took Daniel in before the king; the king made answer and said to Daniel, So you are that Daniel, of the prisoners of Judah, whom my father took out of Judah.	Daniele 5:13 Allora Daniele fu introdotto alla presenza del re; e il re parlò a Daniele, e gli disse: "Sei tu Daniele, uno dei Giudei che il mio re padre menò in cattività da Giuda?
Daniel 5:14 And I have had news of you, that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and reason and special wisdom have been seen in you.	Daniele 5:14 Io ha sentito dire di te che lo spirito degli dèi è in te, e che in te si trova luce, intelletto, e una sapienza straordinaria.
Daniel 5:15 And now the wise men, the users of secret arts, have been sent in before me for the purpose of reading this writing and making clear to me the sense of it: but they are not able to make clear the sense of the thing:	Daniele 5:15 Ora, i savi e gl’incantatori sono stati introdotti alla mia presenza, per leggere questo scritto e farmene conoscere l’interpretazione; ma non hanno potuto darmi l’interpretazione della cosa.
Daniel 5:16 And I have had news of you, that you have the power of making things clear, and of answering hard questions: now if you are able to make out the writing and give me the sense of it, you will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain round your neck and be a ruler of high authority in the kingdom.	Daniele 5:16 Però, ho sentito dire di te che tu puoi dare interpretazioni e risolvere questioni difficili; ora, se puoi leggere questo scritto e farmene conoscere l’interpretazione, tu sarai rivestito di porpora, avrai al collo una collana d’oro, e sarai terzo nel governo del regno".
Daniel 5:17 Then Daniel made answer and said to the king, Keep your offerings for yourself, and give your rewards to another; but I, after reading the writing to the king, will give him the sense of it.	Daniele 5:17 Allora Daniele prese a dire in presenza del re: "Tieniti i tuoi doni e da’ a un altro le tue ricompense; nondimeno io leggerò lo scritto al re e gliene farò conoscere l’interpretazione.
Daniel 5:18 As for you, O King, the Most High God gave to Nebuchadnezzar, your father, the kingdom and great power and glory and honour:	Daniele 5:18 O re, l’Iddio altissimo aveva dato a Nebucadnetsar tuo padre, regno, grandezza, gloria e maestà;
Daniel 5:19 And because of the great power he gave him, all peoples and nations and languages were shaking in fear before him: some he put to death and others he kept living, at his pleasure, lifting up some and putting others down as it pleased him.	Daniele 5:19 e a motivo della grandezza ch’Egli gli aveva dato, tutti i popoli, tutte le nazioni e lingue temevano e tremavano alla sua presenza; egli faceva morire chi voleva, lasciava in vita chi voleva; innalzava chi voleva, abbassava chi voleva.
Daniel 5:20 But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit became hard with pride, he was put down from his place as king, and they took his glory from him:	Daniele 5:20 Ma quando il suo cuore divenne altero e il suo spirito s’indurò fino a diventare arrogante, fu deposto dal suo trono reale e gli fu tolta la sua gloria;
Daniel 5:21 And he was sent out from among the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts', and he was living with the asses of the fields; he had grass for his food like the oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he was certain that the Most High is ruler in the kingdom of men, and gives power over it to anyone at his pleasure.	Daniele 5:21 fu cacciato di tra i figliuoli degli uomini, il suo cuore fu reso simile a quello delle bestie, e la sua dimora fu con gli asini selvatici; gli fu data a mangiare dell’erba come ai buoi, e il suo corpo fu bagnato dalla rugiada del cielo, finché non riconobbe che l’Iddio altissimo, domina sul regno degli uomini, e ch’egli vi stabilisce sopra chi vuole.
Daniel 5:22 And you, his son, O Belshazzar, have not kept your heart free from pride, though you had knowledge of all this;	Daniele 5:22 E tu, o Belsatsar, suo figliuolo, non hai umiliato il tuo cuore, quantunque tu sapessi tutto questo;
Daniel 5:23 But you have been lifting yourself up against the Lord of heaven, and they have put the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your women, have taken wine in them; and you have given praise to gods of silver and gold, of brass and iron and wood and stone, who are without the power of seeing or hearing, and without knowledge: and to the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not given glory;	Daniele 5:23 ma ti sei innalzato contro il Signore del cielo; ti sono stati portati davanti i vasi della sua casa, e tu, i tuoi grandi, le tue mogli e le tue concubine ve ne siete serviti per bere; e tu hai lodato gli dèi d’argento, d’oro, di rame, di ferro, di legno e di pietra, i quali non vedono, non odono, non hanno conoscenza di sorta, e non hai glorificato l’Iddio che ha nella sua mano il tuo soffio vitale, e da cui dipendono tutte le tue vie.
Daniel 5:24 Then the part of the hand was sent out from before him, and this writing was recorded.	Daniele 5:24 Perciò è stato mandato, da parte sua, quel mozzicone di mano, che ha tracciato quello scritto.
Daniel 5:25 And this is the writing which was recorded, Mene, tekel, peres.	Daniele 5:25 Questo e lo scritto ch’è stato tracciato: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UFARSIN.
Daniel 5:26 This is the sense of the words: Mene; your kingdom has been numbered by God and ended.	Daniele 5:26 E questa è l’interpretazione delle parole: MENE: Dio ha fatto il conto del tuo regno, e vi ha posto fine.
Daniel 5:27 Tekel; you have been put in the scales and seen to be under weight.	Daniele 5:27 TEKEL: tu sei stato pesato con la bilancia, e sei stato trovato mancante.
Daniel 5:28 Peres; your kingdom has been cut up and given to the Medes and Persians.	Daniele 5:28 PERES: il tuo regno è diviso, e dato ai Medi e ai Persiani".
Daniel 5:29 Then, by the order of Belshazzar, they put a purple robe on Daniel, and a gold chain round his neck, and a public statement was made that he was to be a ruler of high authority in the kingdom.	Daniele 5:29 Allora, per ordine di Belsatsar, Daniele fu rivestito di porpora, gli fu messa al collo una collana d’oro, e fu proclamato che egli sarebbe terzo nel governo del regno.
Daniel 5:30 That very night Belshazzar, the king of the Chaldaeans, was put to death.	Daniele 5:30 In quella stessa notte, Belsatsar, re de’ Caldei, fu ucciso;
Daniel 5:31 And Darius the Mede took the kingdom, being then about sixty-two years old.	Daniele 5:31 e Dario il Medo, ricevette il regno, all’età di sessantadue anni.
