Ephesians 5:1 Let it then be your desire to be like God, as well-loved children;	Efesini 5:1 Siate dunque imitatori di Dio, come figliuoli suoi diletti;
Ephesians 5:2 And be living in love, even as Christ had love for you, and gave himself up for us, an offering to God for a perfume of a sweet smell.	Efesini 5:2 camminate nell’amore come anche Cristo vi ha amati e ha dato se stesso per noi in offerta e sacrificio a Dio, qual profumo d’odor soave.
Ephesians 5:3 But evil acts of the flesh and all unclean things, or desire for others' property, let it not even be named among you, as is right for saints;	Efesini 5:3 Ma come si conviene a dei santi, né fornicazione, né alcuna impurità, né avarizia, sia neppur nominata fra voi;
Ephesians 5:4 And let there be no low behaviour, or foolish talk, or words said in sport, which are not right, but in place of them the giving of praise.	Efesini 5:4 né disonestà, né buffonerie, né facezie scurrili, che son cose sconvenienti; ma piuttosto, rendimento di grazie.
Ephesians 5:5 Being certain of this, that no man who gives way to the passions of the flesh, no unclean person, or one who has desire for the property of others, or who gives worship to images, has any heritage in the kingdom of Christ and God.	Efesini 5:5 Poiché voi sapete molto bene che niun fornicatore o impuro, o avaro (che è un idolatra), ha eredità nel regno di Cristo e di Dio.
Ephesians 5:6 Do not be turned from the right way by foolish words; for because of these things the punishment of God comes on those who do not put themselves under him.	Efesini 5:6 Niuno vi seduca con vani ragionamenti; poiché è per queste cose che l’ira di Dio viene sugli uomini ribelli.
Ephesians 5:7 Have no part with such men;	Efesini 5:7 Non siate dunque loro compagni;
Ephesians 5:8 For you at one time were dark, but now are light in the Lord: let your behaviour be that of children of light	Efesini 5:8 perché già eravate tenebre, ma ora siete luce nel Signore. Conducetevi come figliuoli di luce
Ephesians 5:9 (Because the fruit of the light is in all righteousness and in everything which is good and true),	Efesini 5:9 (poiché il frutto della luce consiste in tutto ciò che è bontà e giustizia e verità),
Ephesians 5:10 Testing by experience what is well-pleasing to the Lord;	Efesini 5:10 esaminando che cosa sia accetto al Signore.
Ephesians 5:11 And have no company with the works of the dark, which give no fruit, but make their true quality clear;	Efesini 5:11 E non partecipate alle opere infruttuose delle tenebre; anzi, piuttosto riprendetele;
Ephesians 5:12 For the things which are done by them in secret it is shame even to put into words.	Efesini 5:12 poiché egli è disonesto pur di dire le cose che si fanno da costoro in occulto.
Ephesians 5:13 But all things, when their true quality is seen, are made clear by the light: because everything which is made clear is light.	Efesini 5:13 Ma tutte le cose, quando sono riprese dalla luce, diventano manifeste; poiché tutto ciò che è manifesto, è luce.
Ephesians 5:14 For this reason he says, Be awake, you who are sleeping, and come up from among the dead, and Christ will be your light.	Efesini 5:14 Perciò dice: Risvegliati, o tu che dormi, e risorgi da’ morti, e Cristo t’inonderà di luce.
Ephesians 5:15 Take care then how you are living, not as unwise, but as wise;	Efesini 5:15 Guardate dunque con diligenza come vi conducete; non da stolti, ma da savi;
Ephesians 5:16 Making good use of the time, because the days are evil.	Efesini 5:16 approfittando delle occasioni, perché i giorni sono malvagi.
Ephesians 5:17 For this reason, then, do not be foolish, but be conscious of the Lord's pleasure.	Efesini 5:17 Perciò non siate disavveduti, ma intendete bene quale sia la volontà del Signore.
Ephesians 5:18 And do not take overmuch wine by which one may be overcome, but be full of the Spirit;	Efesini 5:18 E non v’inebriate di vino; esso porta alla dissolutezza; ma siate ripieni dello Spirito,
Ephesians 5:19 Joining with one another in holy songs of praise and of the Spirit, using your voice in songs and making melody in your heart to the Lord;	Efesini 5:19 parlandovi con salmi ed inni e canzoni spirituali, cantando e salmeggiando col cuor vostro al Signore;
Ephesians 5:20 Giving praise at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;	Efesini 5:20 rendendo del continuo grazie d’ogni cosa a Dio e Padre, nel nome del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo;
Ephesians 5:21 Letting yourselves be ruled by one another in the fear of Christ.	Efesini 5:21 sottoponendovi gli uni agli altri nel timore di Cristo.
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, be under the authority of your husbands, as of the Lord.	Efesini 5:22 Mogli, siate soggette ai vostri mariti, come al Signore;
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body.	Efesini 5:23 poiché il marito è capo della moglie, come anche Cristo è capo della Chiesa, egli, che è il Salvatore del corpo.
Ephesians 5:24 And as the church is under Christ's authority, so let wives be under the rule of their husbands in all things.	Efesini 5:24 Ma come la Chiesa è soggetta a Cristo, così debbono anche le mogli esser soggette a’ loro mariti in ogni cosa.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, have love for your wives, even as Christ had love for the church, and gave himself for it;	Efesini 5:25 Mariti, amate le vostre mogli, come anche Cristo ha amato la Chiesa e ha dato se stesso per lei,
Ephesians 5:26 So that he might make it holy, having made it clean with the washing of water by the word,	Efesini 5:26 affin di santificarla, dopo averla purificata col lavacro dell’acqua mediante la Parola,
Ephesians 5:27 And might take it for himself, a church full of glory, not having one mark or fold or any such thing; but that it might be holy and complete.	Efesini 5:27 affin di far egli stesso comparire dinanzi a sé questa Chiesa, gloriosa, senza macchia, senza ruga o cosa alcuna simile, ma santa ed irreprensibile.
Ephesians 5:28 Even so it is right for husbands to have love for their wives as for their bodies. He who has love for his wife has love for himself:	Efesini 5:28 Allo stesso modo anche i mariti debbono amare le loro mogli, come i loro propri corpi. Chi ama sua moglie ama se stesso.
Ephesians 5:29 For no man ever had hate for his flesh; but he gives it food and takes care of it, even as Christ does for the church;	Efesini 5:29 Poiché niuno ebbe mai in odio la sua carne; anzi la nutre e la cura teneramente, come anche Cristo fa per la Chiesa,
Ephesians 5:30 Because we are parts of his body.	Efesini 5:30 poiché noi siamo membra del suo corpo.
Ephesians 5:31 For this cause will a man go away from his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.	Efesini 5:31 Perciò l’uomo lascerà suo padre e sua madre e s’unirà a sua moglie, e i due diverranno una stessa carne.
Ephesians 5:32 This is a great secret: but my words are about Christ and the church.	Efesini 5:32 Questo mistero è grande; dico questo, riguardo a Cristo ed alla Chiesa.
Ephesians 5:33 But do you, everyone, have love for his wife, even as for himself; and let the wife see that she has respect for her husband.	Efesini 5:33 Ma d’altronde, anche fra voi, ciascuno individualmente così ami sua moglie, come ama se stesso; e altresì la moglie rispetti il marito.
