Esther 3	Ester 3
Esther 3:1 After these things, by the order of the king, Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, was lifted up and given a position of honour and a higher place than all the other captains who were with him.	Ester 3:1 Dopo queste cose, il re Assuero promosse Haman, figliuolo di Hammedatha, l’Agaghita, alla più alta dignità, e pose il suo seggio al disopra di quelli di tutti i principi ch’eran con lui.
Esther 3:2 And all the king's servants who were in the king's house went down to the earth before Haman and gave him honour: for so the king had given orders. But Mordecai did not go down before him or give him honour.	Ester 3:2 E tutti i servi del re che stavano alla porta del re s’inchinavano e si prostravano davanti a Haman, perché così aveva ordinato il re a suo riguardo. Ma Mardocheo non s’inchinava né si prostrava.
Esther 3:3 Then the king's servants who were in the king's house said to Mordecai, Why do you go against the king's order?	Ester 3:3 E i servi del re che stavano alla porta del re dissero a Mardocheo: "Perché trasgredisci l’ordine del re?"
Esther 3:4 Now when they had said this to him day after day and he gave no attention, they let Haman have news of it, to see if Mordecai's behaviour would be overlooked: for he had said to them that he was a Jew.	Ester 3:4 Or com’essi glielo ripetevano tutti i giorni, ed egli non dava loro ascolto, quelli riferirono la cosa a Haman, per vedere se Mardocheo persisterebbe nel suo dire; perch’egli avea lor detto ch’era Giudeo.
Esther 3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai did not go down before him and give him honour, Haman was full of wrath.	Ester 3:5 Haman vide che Mardocheo non s’inchinava né si prostrava davanti a lui, e ne fu ripieno d’ira;
Esther 3:6 But it was not enough for him to make an attack on Mordecai only; for they had made clear to him who Mordecai's people were; so Haman made it his purpose to put an end to all the Jews, even Mordecai's people, through all the kingdom of Ahasuerus.	Ester 3:6 ma sdegnò di metter le mani addosso a Mardocheo soltanto, giacché gli avean detto a qual popolo Mardocheo apparteneva; e cercò di distruggere il popolo di Mardocheo, tutti i Giudei che si trovavano in tutto il regno d’Assuero.
Esther 3:7 In the first month, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, from day to day and from month to month they went on looking for a sign given by Pur (that is chance) before Haman, till the sign came out for the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar.	Ester 3:7 Il primo mese, ch’è il mese di Nisan, il dodicesimo anno del re Assuero, si tirò il Pur, vale a dire si tirò a sorte, in presenza di Haman, un giorno dopo l’altro e un mese dopo l’altro, finché sortì designato il dodicesimo mese, ch’è il mese di Adar.
Esther 3:8 And Haman said to King Ahasuerus, There is a certain nation living here and there in small groups among the people in all the divisions of your kingdom; their laws are different from those of any other nation, and they do not keep the king's laws: for this reason it is not right for the king to let them be.	Ester 3:8 E Haman disse al re Assuero: "V’è un popolo appartato e disperso fra i popoli di tutte le province del tuo regno, le cui leggi sono diverse da quelle d’ogni altro popolo, e che non osserva le leggi del re; non conviene quindi che il re lo tolleri.
Esther 3:9 If it is the king's pleasure, let a statement ordering their destruction be put in writing: and I will give to those responsible for the king's business, ten thousand talents of silver for the king's store-house.	Ester 3:9 Se così piace al re, si scriva ch’esso sia distrutto; e io pagherò diecimila talenti d’argento in mano di quelli che fanno gli affari del re, perché sian portati nel tesoro reale".
Esther 3:10 And the king took his ring from his hand and gave it to Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the hater of the Jews.	Ester 3:10 Allora il re si tolse l’anello di mano, e lo diede a Haman l’Agaghita figliuolo di Hammedatha, e nemico de’ Giudei.
Esther 3:11 And the king said to Haman, The money is yours, and the people, to do with them whatever seems right to you.	Ester 3:11 E il re disse a Haman: "Il danaro t’è dato, e il popolo pure; fagli quel che ti pare".
Esther 3:12 Then on the thirteenth day of the first month, the king's scribes were sent for, and they put in writing Haman's orders to all the king's captains and the rulers of every division of his kingdom and the chiefs of every people: for every division of the kingdom in the writing commonly used there, and to every people in the language which was theirs; it was signed in the name of King Ahasuerus and stamped with the king's ring.	Ester 3:12 Il tredicesimo giorno del primo mese furon chiamati i segretari del re, e fu scritto, seguendo in tutto gli ordini di Haman, ai satrapi del re, ai governatori d’ogni provincia e ai capi d’ogni popolo, a ogni provincia secondo il suo modo di scrivere, e ad ogni popolo nella sua lingua. Lo scritto fu redatto in nome del re Assuero e sigillato col sigillo reale.
Esther 3:13 And letters were sent by the runners into every division of the kingdom ordering the death and destruction of all Jews, young and old, little children and women, on the same day, even the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar, and the taking of all their goods by force.	Ester 3:13 E furon mandate delle lettere, a mezzo di corrieri, in tutte le province del re perché si distruggessero, si uccidessero, si sterminassero tutti i Giudei, giovani e vecchi, bambini e donne, in un medesimo giorno, il tredici del dodicesimo mese, ch’è il mese d’Adar, e si abbandonassero al saccheggio i loro beni.
Esther 3:14 A copy of the writing, to be made public in every part of the kingdom, was sent out to all the peoples, so that they might be ready when that day came.	Ester 3:14 Queste lettere contenevano una copia dell’editto che doveva esser pubblicato in ogni provincia, e invitavano tutti i popoli a tenersi pronti per quel giorno.
Esther 3:15 The runners went out quickly by the king's order, and a public statement was made in Shushan: and the king and Haman took wine together: but the town of Shushan was troubled.	Ester 3:15 I corrieri partirono in tutta fretta per ordine del re, e il decreto fu promulgato nella residenza reale di Susa; e mentre il re e Haman se ne stavano a sedere bevendo, la città di Susa era costernata.
