Esther 9	Ester 9
Esther 9:1 Now on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, when the time came for the king's order to be put into effect, on the very day when the haters of the Jews had been hoping to have rule over them; though the opposite had come about, and the Jews had rule over their haters;	Ester 9:1 Il dodicesimo mese, ch’è il mese d’Adar, il tredicesimo giorno del mese, quando l’ordine del re e il suo decreto doveano esser mandati ad effetto, il giorno che i nemici de’ Giudei speravano d’averli in loro potere, avvenne invece tutto il contrario; poiché furono i Giudei ch’ebbero in loro potere i loro nemici.
Esther 9:2 On that day, the Jews came together in their towns through all the divisions of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, for the purpose of attacking all those who were attempting evil against them: and everyone had to give way before them, for the fear of them had come on all the peoples.	Ester 9:2 I Giudei si radunarono nelle loro città, in tutte le province del re Assuero, per metter la mano su quelli che cercavano far ad essi del male; e nessuno poté resister loro, perché lo spavento de’ Giudei s’era impossessato di tutti i popoli.
Esther 9:3 And all the chiefs and the captains and the rulers and those who did the king's business gave support to the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai had come on them.	Ester 9:3 E tutti i capi delle province, i satrapi, i governatori e quelli che facevano gli affari del re dettero man forte a i Giudei, perché lo spavento di Mardocheo s’era impossessato di loro.
Esther 9:4 For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and word of him went out through every part of the kingdom: for the man Mordecai became greater and greater.	Ester 9:4 Poiché Mardocheo era grande nella casa del re, e la sua fama si spandeva per tutte le province, perché quest’uomo, Mardocheo, diventava sempre più grande.
Esther 9:5 So the Jews overcame all their attackers with the sword and with death and destruction, and did to their haters whatever they had a desire to do.	Ester 9:5 I Giudei dunque colpirono tutti i loro nemici, mettendoli a fil di spada, uccidendoli e sterminandoli; fecero de’ loro nemici quello che vollero.
Esther 9:6 And in Shushan the Jews put to death five hundred men.	Ester 9:6 Alla residenza reale di Susa i Giudei uccisero e sterminarono cinquecento uomini,
Esther 9:7 They put to death Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha,	Ester 9:7 e misero a morte Parshandatha, Dalfon, Aspatha, Poratha,

Esther 9:10 The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the hater of the Jews; but they put not a hand on any of their goods.	Ester 9:10 figliuolo di Hammedatha, il nemico de’ Giudei, ma non si diedero al saccheggio.
Esther 9:11 On that day the number of those who had been put to death in the town of Shushan was given to the king.	Ester 9:11 Quel giorno stesso il numero di quelli ch’erano stati uccisi alla residenza reale di Susa fu recato a conoscenza del re.
Esther 9:12 And the king said to Esther the queen, The Jews have put five hundred men to death in Shushan, as well as the ten sons of Haman: what then have they done in the rest of the kingdom! Now what is your prayer? for it will be given to you; what other request have you? and it will be done.	Ester 9:12 E il re disse alla regina Ester: "Alla residenza reale di Susa i Giudei hanno ucciso, hanno sterminato cinquecento uomini e i dieci figliuoli di Haman; che avranno essi mai fatto nelle altre province del re? Or che chiedi tu ancora? Ti sarà dato. Che altro desideri? L’avrai".
Esther 9:13 Then Esther said, If it is the king's pleasure, let authority be given to the Jews in Shushan to do tomorrow as has been done today, and let orders be given for the hanging of Haman's ten sons.	Ester 9:13 Allora Ester disse: "Se così piace al re, sia permesso ai Giudei che sono a Susa di fare anche domani quello ch’era stato decretato per oggi; e siano appesi alla forca i dieci figliuoli di Haman".
Esther 9:14 And the king said that this was to be done, and the order was given out in Shushan, and the hanging of Haman's ten sons was effected.	Ester 9:14 E il re ordinò che così fosse fatto. Il decreto fu promulgato a Susa, e i dieci figliuoli di Haman furono appiccati.
Esther 9:15 For the Jews who were in Shushan came together again on the fourteenth day of the month Adar and put to death three hundred men in Shushan; but they put not a hand on their goods.	Ester 9:15 E i Giudei ch’erano a Susa si radunarono ancora il quattordicesimo giorno del mese d’Adar e uccisero a Susa trecento uomini; ma non si diedero al saccheggio.
Esther 9:16 And the other Jews in every division of the kingdom came together, fighting for their lives, and got salvation from their haters and put seventy-five thousand of them to death; but they did not put a hand on their goods.	Ester 9:16 Gli altri Giudei ch’erano nelle province del re si radunarono anch’essi, difesero la loro vita, ed ebbero requie dagli attacchi de’ loro nemici; uccisero settantacinquemila di quelli che li aveano in odio, ma non si diedero al saccheggio.
Esther 9:17 This they did on the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same month they took their rest, and made it a day of feasting and joy.	Ester 9:17 Questo avvenne il tredicesimo giorno del mese d’Adar; il quattordicesimo giorno si riposarono, e ne fecero un giorno di convito e di gioia.
Esther 9:18 But the Jews in Shushan came together on the thirteenth and on the fourteenth day of the month; and on the fifteenth day they took their rest, and made it a day of feasting and joy.	Ester 9:18 Ma i Giudei ch’erano a Susa si radunarono il tredicesimo e il quattordicesimo giorno di quel mese; il quindicesimo giorno si riposarono, e ne fecero un giorno di conviti e di gioia.
Esther 9:19 So the Jews of the country places living in unwalled towns make the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of feasting and joy and a good day, a day for sending offerings one to another.	Ester 9:19 Perciò i Giudei della campagna che abitano in città non murate fanno del quattordicesimo giorno del mese di Adar un giorno di gioia, di conviti e di festa, nel quale gli uni mandano dei regali agli altri.
Esther 9:20 And Mordecai sent letters to all the Jews in every division of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, near and far,	Ester 9:20 Mardocheo scrisse queste cose, e mandò delle lettere a tutti i Giudei ch’erano in tutte le province del re Assuero, vicini e lontani,
Esther 9:21 Ordering them to keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar and the fifteenth day of the same month, every year,	Ester 9:21 ordinando loro che ogni anno celebrassero il quattordicesimo e il quindicesimo giorno del mese d’Adar,
Esther 9:22 As days on which the Jews had rest from their haters, and the month which for them was turned from sorrow to joy, and from weeping to a good day: and that they were to keep them as days of feasting and joy, of sending offerings to one another and good things to the poor.	Ester 9:22 come i giorni ne’ quali i Giudei ebbero requie dagli attacchi de’ loro nemici, e il mese in cui il loro dolore era stato mutato in gioia, il loro lutto in festa, e facessero di questi giorni de’ giorni di conviti e di gioia, nei quali gli uni manderebbero de’ regali agli altri, e si farebbero dei doni ai bisognosi.
Esther 9:23 And the Jews gave their word to go on as they had been doing and as Mordecai had given them orders in writing;	Ester 9:23 I Giudei s’impegnarono a continuare quello che avean già cominciato a fare, e che Mardocheo avea loro scritto;
Esther 9:24 Because Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the hater of all the Jews, had made designs for their destruction, attempting to get a decision by Pur (that is, chance) with a view to putting an end to them and cutting them off;	Ester 9:24 poiché Haman, figliuolo di Hammedatha, l’Agaghita, il nemico di tutti i Giudei, aveva ordito una trama contro i Giudei per distruggerli, e avea gettato il Pur, vale a dire la sorte, per sgominarli e farli perire;
Esther 9:25 But when the business was put before the king, he gave orders by letters that the evil design which he had made against the Jews was to be turned against himself; and that he and his sons were to be put to death by hanging.	Ester 9:25 ma quando Ester si fu presentata al cospetto del re, questi ordinò per iscritto che la scellerata macchinazione che Haman aveva ordita contro i Giudei fosse fatta ricadere sul capo di lui, e ch’egli e i suoi figliuoli fossero appesi alla forca.
Esther 9:26 So these days were named Purim, after the name of Pur. And so, because of the words of this letter, and of what they had seen in connection with this business, and what had come to them,	Ester 9:26 Perciò que’ giorni furon detti Purim, dal termine Pur. Conforme quindi a tutto il contenuto di quella lettera, in seguito a tutto quello che avean visto a questo proposito e ch’era loro avvenuto,
Esther 9:27 The Jews made a rule and gave an undertaking, causing their seed and all those who were joined to them to do the same, so that it might be in force for ever, that they would keep those two days, as ordered in the letter, at the fixed time every year;	Ester 9:27 i Giudei stabilirono e presero per sé, per la loro progenie e per tutti quelli che si aggiungerebbero a loro, l’impegno inviolabile di celebrare ogni anno que’ due giorni secondo il tenore di quello scritto e al tempo fissato.
Esther 9:28 And that those days were to be kept in memory through every generation and every family, in every division of the kingdom and every town, that there might never be a time when these days of Purim would not be kept among the Jews, or when the memory of them would go from the minds of their seed.	Ester 9:28 Que’ giorni dovevano esser commemorati e celebrati di generazione in generazione, in ogni famiglia, in ogni provincia, in ogni città; e que’ giorni di Purim non dovevano cessar mai d’esser celebrati fra i Giudei, e il loro ricordo non dovea mai cancellarsi fra i loro discendenti.
Esther 9:29 Then Esther the queen, daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, sent a second letter giving the force of their authority to the order about the Purim.	Ester 9:29 La regina Ester, figliuola d’Abihail, e il Giudeo Mardocheo riscrissero con ogni autorità, per dar peso a questa loro seconda lettera relativa ai Purim.
Esther 9:30 And he sent letters to all the Jews in the hundred and twenty-seven divisions of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with true words of peace,	Ester 9:30 E si mandaron delle lettere a tutti i Giudei nelle centoventisette province del regno di Assuero: lettere contenenti parole di pace e di fedeltà,
Esther 9:31 Giving the force of law to these days of Purim at their fixed times, as they had been ordered by Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen, and in keeping with the rules they had made for themselves and their seed, in connection with their time of going without food and their cry for help.	Ester 9:31 per fissar bene que’ giorni di Purim nelle loro date precise, come li aveano ordinati il Giudeo Mardocheo e la regina Ester, e com’essi stessi li aveano stabiliti per sé e per i loro discendenti, in occasione del loro digiuno e del loro grido.
Esther 9:32 The order given by Esther gave the force of law to the rules about the Purim; and it was recorded in the book.	Ester 9:32 Così l’ordine d’Ester fissò l’istituzione dei Purim, e ciò fu scritto in un libro.
