Job 23	Giobbe 23
Job 23:1 And Job made answer and said,	Giobbe 23:1 Allora Giobbe rispose e disse:
Job 23:2 Even today my outcry is bitter; his hand is hard on my sorrow.	Giobbe 23:2 "Anche oggi il mio lamento è una rivolta, per quanto io cerchi di comprimere il mio gemito.
Job 23:3 If only I had knowledge of where he might be seen, so that I might come even to his seat!	Giobbe 23:3 Oh sapessi dove trovarlo! potessi arrivare fino al suo trono!
Job 23:4 I would put my cause in order before him, and my mouth would be full of arguments.	Giobbe 23:4 Esporrei la mia causa dinanzi a lui, riempirei d’argomenti la mia bocca.
Job 23:5 I would see what his answers would be, and have knowledge of what he would say to me.	Giobbe 23:5 Saprei quel che mi risponderebbe, e capirei quello che avrebbe da dirmi.
Job 23:6 Would he make use of his great power to overcome me? No, but he would give attention to me.	Giobbe 23:6 Contenderebbe egli meco con la sua gran potenza? No! invece, mi presterebbe attenzione.
Job 23:7 There an upright man might put his cause before him; and I would be free for ever from my judge.	Giobbe 23:7 Là sarebbe un uomo retto a discutere con lui, e sarei dal mio giudice assolto per sempre.
Job 23:8 See, I go forward, but he is not there; and back, but I do not see him;	Giobbe 23:8 Ma, ecco, se vo ad oriente, egli non c’è; se ad occidente, non lo trovo;
Job 23:9 I am looking for him on the left hand, but there is no sign of him; and turning to the right, I am not able to see him.	Giobbe 23:9 se a settentrione, quando vi opera, io non lo veggo; si nasconde egli nel mezzodì, io non lo scorgo.
Job 23:10 For he has knowledge of the way I take; after I have been tested I will come out like gold.	Giobbe 23:10 Ma la via ch’io batto ei la sa; se mi mettesse alla prova, ne uscirei come l’oro.
Job 23:11 My feet have gone in his steps; I have kept in his way, without turning to one side or to the other.	Giobbe 23:11 Il mio piede ha seguito fedelmente le sue orme, mi son tenuto sulla sua via senza deviare;
Job 23:12 I have never gone against the orders of his lips; the words of his mouth have been stored up in my heart.	Giobbe 23:12 non mi sono scostato dai comandamenti delle sue labbra, ho riposto nel mio seno le parole della sua bocca.
Job 23:13 But his purpose is fixed and there is no changing it; and he gives effect to the desire of his soul.	Giobbe 23:13 Ma la sua decisione e una; chi lo farà mutare? Quello ch’ei desidera, lo fa;
Job 23:14 For what has been ordered for me by him will be gone through to the end: and his mind is full of such designs.	Giobbe 23:14 egli eseguirà quel che di me ha decretato; e di cose come queste ne ha molte in mente.
Job 23:15 For this cause I am in fear before him, my thoughts of him overcome me.	Giobbe 23:15 Perciò nel suo cospetto io sono atterrito; quando ci penso, ho paura di lui.
Job 23:16 For God has made my heart feeble, and my mind is troubled before the Ruler of all.	Giobbe 23:16 Iddio m’ha tolto il coraggio, l’Onnipotente mi ha spaventato.
Job 23:17 For I am overcome by the dark, and by the black night which is covering my face.	Giobbe 23:17 Questo mi annienta: non le tenebre, non la fitta oscurità che mi ricopre.
