Matthew 1:1 The book of the generations of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.	Matteo 1:1 Genealogia di Gesù Cristo figliuolo di Davide, figliuolo d’Abramo.
Matthew 1:2 The son of Abraham was Isaac; and the son of Isaac was Jacob; and the sons of Jacob were Judah and his brothers;	Matteo 1:2 Abramo generò Isacco; Isacco generò Giacobbe; Giacobbe generò Giuda e i suoi fratelli;

Matthew 1:11 And the sons of Josiah were Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the taking away to Babylon.	Matteo 1:11 Giosia generò Ieconia e i suoi fratelli al tempo della deportazione in Babilonia.

Matthew 1:16 And the son of Jacob was Joseph the husband of Mary, who gave birth to Jesus, whose name is Christ.	Matteo 1:16 Giacobbe generò Giuseppe, il marito di Maria, dalla quale nacque Gesù, che è chiamato Cristo.
Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the taking away to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the taking away to Babylon to the coming of Christ, fourteen generations. Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: when his mother Mary was going to be married to Joseph, before they came together the discovery was made that she was with child by the Holy Spirit. Maria, sua madre, era stata promessa sposa a Giuseppe; e prima che fossero venuti a stare insieme, si trovò incinta per virtù dello Spirito Santo.
Matthew 1:19 And Joseph, her husband, being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public example, had a mind to put her away privately.	Matteo 1:19 E Giuseppe, suo marito, essendo uomo giusto e non volendo esporla ad infamia, si propose di lasciarla occultamente.
Matthew 1:20 But when he was giving thought to these things, an angel of the Lord came to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, have no fear of taking Mary as your wife; because that which is in her body is of the Holy Spirit.	Matteo 1:20 Ma mentre avea queste cose nell’animo, ecco che un angelo del Signore gli apparve in sogno, dicendo: Giuseppe, figliuol di Davide, non temere di prender teco Maria tua moglie; perché ciò che in lei è generato, è dallo Spirito Santo.
Matthew 1:21 And she will give birth to a son; and you will give him the name Jesus; for he will give his people salvation from their sins.	Matteo 1:21 Ed ella partorirà un figliuolo, e tu gli porrai nome Gesù, perché è lui che salverà il suo popolo dai loro peccati.
Matthew 1:22 Now all this took place so that the word of the Lord by the prophet might come true,	Matteo 1:22 Or tutto ciò avvenne, affinché si adempiesse quello che era stato detto dal Signore per mezzo del profeta:
Matthew 1:23 See, the virgin will be with child, and will give birth to a son, and they will give him the name Immanuel, that is, God with us.	Matteo 1:23 Ecco, la vergine sarà incinta e partorirà un figliuolo, al quale sarà posto nome Emmanuele, che, interpretato, vuol dire: "Iddio con noi".
Matthew 1:24 And Joseph did as the angel of the Lord had said to him, and took her as his wife;	Matteo 1:24 E Giuseppe, destatosi dal sonno, fece come l’angelo del Signore gli avea comandato, e prese con sé sua moglie;
Matthew 1:25 And he had no connection with her till she had given birth to a son; and he gave him the name Jesus.	Matteo 1:25 e non la conobbe finch’ella non ebbe partorito un figlio; e gli pose nome Gesù.
