Apocalisse 22
|
| And I saw a river of water of life, clear as glass, coming out of the high seat of God and of the Lamb, | Poi mi mostrò il fiume dell’acqua della vita, limpido come cristallo, che procedeva dal trono di Dio e dell’Agnello. |
| In the middle of its street. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, having twelve sorts of fruits, giving its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree give life to the nations. | In mezzo alla piazza della città e d’ambo i lati del fiume stava l’albero della vita che dà dodici raccolti, e porta il suo frutto ogni mese; e le foglie dell’albero sono per la guarigione delle nazioni. |
| And there will be no more curse: and the high seat of God and of the Lamb will be there; and his servants will be worshipping him; | E non ci sarà più alcuna cosa maledetta; e in essa sarà il trono di Dio e dell’Agnello; |
| And they will see his face; and his name will be on their brows. | i suoi servitori gli serviranno ed essi vedranno la sua faccia e avranno in fronte il suo nome. |
| And there will be no more night; and they have no need of a light or of the shining of the sun; for the Lord God will give them light: and they will be ruling for ever and ever. | E non ci sarà più notte; ed essi non avranno bisogno di luce di lampada, né di luce di sole, perché li illuminerà il Signore Iddio, ed essi regneranno nei secoli dei secoli. |
| And he said to me, These words are certain and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to make clear to his servants the things which are now to come about. | Poi mi disse: Queste parole sono fedeli e veraci; e il Signore, l’Iddio degli spiriti dei profeti, ha mandato il suo angelo per mostrare ai suoi servitori le cose che debbono avvenire in breve. |
| See, I come quickly. A blessing on him who keeps the words of this book of the prophet. | Ecco, io vengo tosto. Beato chi serba le parole della profezia di questo libro. |
| And I, John, am he who saw these things and to whose ears they came. And when I had seen and given ear, I went down on my face to give worship at the feet of the angel who made these things clear to me. | E io, Giovanni, son quello che udii e vidi queste cose. E quando le ebbi udite e vedute, mi prostrai per adorare ai piedi dell’angelo che mi avea mostrate queste cose. |
| And he said to me, See you do it not; I am a brother-servant with you and with your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: give worship to God. | Ma egli mi disse: Guardati dal farlo; io sono tuo conservo e de’ tuoi fratelli, i profeti, e di quelli che serbano le parole di questo libro. Adora Iddio. |
| And he said to me, Let not the words of this prophet's book be kept secret, because the time is near. | Poi mi disse: Non suggellare le parole della profezia di questo libro, perché il tempo è vicino. |
| Let the evil man go on in his evil: and let the unclean be still unclean: and let the upright go on in his righteousness: and let the holy be holy still. | Chi è ingiusto sia ingiusto ancora; chi è contaminato si contamini ancora; e chi è giusto pratichi ancora la giustizia e chi è santo si santifichi ancora. |
| See, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man the outcome of his works. | Ecco, io vengo tosto, e il mio premio è meco per rendere a ciascuno secondo che sarà l’opera sua. |
| I am the First and the Last, the start and the end. | Io son l’Alfa e l’Omega, il primo e l’ultimo, il principio e la fine. |
| A blessing on those whose robes are washed, so that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may go in by the doors into the town. | Beati coloro che lavano le loro vesti per aver diritto all’albero della vita e per entrare per le porte nella città! |
| Outside are the dogs, and those who make use of evil powers, those who make themselves unclean, and the takers of life, and those who give worship to images, and everyone whose delight is in what is false. | Fuori i cani, gli stregoni, i fornicatori, gli omicidi, gli idolatri e chiunque ama e pratica la menzogna. |
| I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give witness to you of these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. | Io Gesù ho mandato il mio angelo per attestarvi queste cose in seno alle chiese. Io son la radice e la progenie di Davide, la lucente stella mattutina. |
| And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who gives ear, say, Come. And let him who is in need come; and let everyone desiring it take of the water of life freely. | E lo Spirito e la sposa dicono: Vieni. E chi ode dica: Vieni. E chi ha sete venga: chi vuole, prenda in dono dell’acqua della vita. |
| For I say to every man to whose ears have come the words of this prophet's book, If any man makes an addition to them, God will put on him the punishments which are in this book: | Io lo dichiaro a ognuno che ode le parole della profezia di questo libro: Se alcuno vi aggiunge qualcosa, Dio aggiungerà ai suoi mali le piaghe descritte in questo libro; |
| And if any man takes away from the words of this book, God will take away from him his part in the tree of life and the holy town, even the things which are in this book. | e se alcuno toglie qualcosa dalle parole del libro di questa profezia, Iddio gli torrà la sua parte dell’albero della vita e della città santa, delle cose scritte in questo libro. |
| He who gives witness to these things says, Truly, I come quickly. Even so come, Lord Jesus. | Colui che attesta queste cose, dice: Sì; vengo tosto! Amen! Vieni, Signor Gesù! |
| The grace of the Lord Jesus be with the saints. So be it. | La grazia del Signor Gesù sia con tutti. |
