Romans 9	Romani 9
Romans 9:1 I say what is true in Christ, and not what is false, my mind giving witness with me in the Holy Spirit,	Romani 9:1 Io dico la verità in Cristo, non mento, la mia coscienza me lo attesta per lo Spirito Santo:
Romans 9:2 That I am full of sorrow and pain without end.	Romani 9:2 io ho una grande tristezza e un continuo dolore nel cuore mio;
Romans 9:3 For I have a desire to take on myself the curse for my brothers, my family in the flesh:	Romani 9:3 perché vorrei essere io stesso anatema, separato da Cristo, per amor dei miei fratelli, miei parenti secondo la carne,
Romans 9:4 Who are Israelites: who have the place of sons, and the glory, and the agreements with God, and the giving of the law, and the worship, and the hope offered by God:	Romani 9:4 che sono Israeliti, ai quali appartengono l’adozione e la gloria e i patti e la legislazione e il culto e le promesse;
Romans 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom came Christ in the flesh, who is over all, God, to whom be blessing for ever. So be it.	Romani 9:5 dei quali sono i padri, e dai quali è venuto, secondo la carne, il Cristo, che è sopra tutte le cose Dio benedetto in eterno. Amen.
Romans 9:6 But it is not as if the word of God was without effect. For they are not all Israel, who are of Israel:	Romani 9:6 Però non è che la parola di Dio sia caduta a terra; perché non tutti i discendenti da Israele sono Israele;
Romans 9:7 And they are not all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, In Isaac will your seed be named.	Romani 9:7 né per il fatto che son progenie d’Abramo, son tutti figliuoli d’Abramo; anzi: In Isacco ti sarà nominata una progenie.
Romans 9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh, but the children of God's undertaking, who are named as the seed.	Romani 9:8 Cioè, non i figliuoli della carne sono figliuoli di Dio: ma i figliuoli della promessa son considerati come progenie.
Romans 9:9 For this is the word of God's undertaking, At this time will I come, and Sarah will have a son.	Romani 9:9 Poiché questa è una parola di promessa: In questa stagione io verrò, e Sara avrà un figliuolo.
Romans 9:10 And not only so, but Rebecca being about to have a child by our father Isaac--	Romani 9:10 Non solo; ma anche a Rebecca avvenne la medesima cosa quand’ebbe concepito da uno stesso uomo, vale a dire Isacco nostro padre, due gemelli;
Romans 9:11 Before the children had come into existence, or had done anything good or bad, in order that God's purpose and his selection might be effected, not by works, but by him whose purpose it is,	Romani 9:11 poiché, prima che fossero nati e che avessero fatto alcun che di bene o di male, affinché rimanesse fermo il proponimento dell’elezione di Dio, che dipende non dalle opere ma dalla volontà di colui che chiama,
Romans 9:12 It was said to her, The older will be the servant of the younger.	Romani 9:12 le fu detto: Il maggiore servirà al minore;
Romans 9:13 Even as it is said, I had love for Jacob, but for Esau I had hate.	Romani 9:13 secondo che è scritto: Ho amato Giacobbe, ma ho odiato Esaù.
Romans 9:14 What may we say then? is God not upright? let it not be said.	Romani 9:14 Che diremo dunque? V’è forse ingiustizia in Dio? Così non sia.
Romans 9:15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and pity on whom I will have pity.	Romani 9:15 Poiché Egli dice a Mosè: Io avrò mercé di chi avrò mercé, e avrò compassione di chi avrò compassione.
Romans 9:16 So then, it is not by the desire or by the attempt of man, but by the mercy of God.	Romani 9:16 Non dipende dunque né da chi vuole né da chi corre, ma da Dio che fa misericordia.
Romans 9:17 For the holy Writings say to Pharaoh, For this same purpose did I put you on high, so that I might make my power seen in you, and that there might be knowledge of my name through all the earth.	Romani 9:17 Poiché la Scrittura dice a Faraone: Appunto per questo io t’ho suscitato: per mostrare in te la mia potenza, e perché il mio nome sia pubblicato per tutta la terra.
Romans 9:18 So then, at his pleasure he has mercy on a man, and at his pleasure he makes the heart hard.	Romani 9:18 Così dunque Egli fa misericordia a chi vuole, e indura chi vuole.
Romans 9:19 But you will say to me, Why does he still make us responsible? who is able to go against his purpose?	Romani 9:19 Tu allora mi dirai: Perché si lagna Egli ancora? Poiché chi può resistere alla sua volontà?
Romans 9:20 But, O man, who are you, to make answer against God? May the thing which is made say to him who made it, Why did you make me so?	Romani 9:20 Piuttosto, o uomo, chi sei tu che replichi a Dio? La cosa formata dirà essa a colui che la formò: Perché mi facesti così?
Romans 9:21 Or has not the potter the right to make out of one part of his earth a vessel for honour, and out of another a vessel for shame?	Romani 9:21 Il vasaio non ha egli potestà sull’argilla, da trarre dalla stessa massa un vaso per uso nobile, e un altro per uso ignobile?
Romans 9:22 What if God, desiring to let his wrath and his power be seen, for a long time put up with the vessels of wrath which were ready for destruction:	Romani 9:22 E che v’è mai da replicare se Dio, volendo mostrare la sua ira e far conoscere la sua potenza, ha sopportato con molta longanimità de’ vasi d’ira preparati per la perdizione,
Romans 9:23 And to make clear the wealth of his glory to vessels of mercy, which he had before made ready for glory,	Romani 9:23 e se, per far conoscere le ricchezze della sua gloria verso de’ vasi di misericordia che avea già innanzi preparati per la gloria,
Romans 9:24 Even us, who were marked out by him, not only from the Jews, but from the Gentiles?	Romani 9:24 li ha anche chiamati (parlo di noi) non soltanto di fra i Giudei ma anche di fra i Gentili?
Romans 9:25 As he says in Hosea, They will be named my people who were not my people, and she will be loved who was not loved.	Romani 9:25 Così Egli dice anche in Osea: Io chiamerò mio popolo quello che non era mio popolo, e "amata" quella che non era amata;
Romans 9:26 And in the place where it was said to them, You are not my people, there they will be named the sons of the living God.	Romani 9:26 e avverrà che nel luogo ov’era loro stato detto: "Voi non siete mio popolo", quivi saran chiamati figliuoli dell’Iddio vivente.
Romans 9:27 And Isaiah says about Israel, Even if the number of the children of Israel is as the sand of the sea, only a small part will get salvation:	Romani 9:27 E Isaia esclama riguardo a Israele: Quand’anche il numero dei figliuoli d’Israele fosse come la rena del mare, il rimanente solo sarà salvato;
Romans 9:28 For the Lord will give effect to his word on the earth, putting an end to it and cutting it short.	Romani 9:28 perché il Signore eseguirà la sua parola sulla terra, in modo definitivo e reciso.
Romans 9:29 And, as Isaiah had said before, If the Lord of armies had not given us a seed, we would have been like Sodom and Gomorrah.	Romani 9:29 E come Isaia avea già detto prima: Se il Signor degli eserciti non ci avesse lasciato un seme, saremmo divenuti come Sodoma e saremmo stati simili a Gomorra.
Romans 9:30 What then may we say? That the nations who did not go after righteousness have got righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:	Romani 9:30 Che diremo dunque? Diremo che i Gentili, i quali non cercavano la giustizia, hanno conseguito la giustizia, ma la giustizia che vien dalla fede;
Romans 9:31 But Israel, going after a law of righteousness, did not get it.	Romani 9:31 mentre Israele, che cercava la legge della giustizia, non ha conseguito la legge della giustizia.
Romans 9:32 Why? Because they were not searching for it by faith, but by works. They came up against the stone which was in the way;	Romani 9:32 Perché? Perché l’ha cercata non per fede, ma per opere. Essi hanno urtato nella pietra d’intoppo,
Romans 9:33 As it is said, See, I am putting in Zion a stone causing a fall, and a rock in the way: but he who has faith in him will not be put to shame.	Romani 9:33 siccome è scritto: Ecco, io pongo in Sion una pietra d’intoppo e una roccia d’inciampo; ma chi crede in lui non sarà svergognato.
