Esther 1:1 Now it came about in the days of Ahasuerus, (that Ahasuerus who was ruler of a hundred and twenty-seven divisions of the kingdom, from India as far as Ethiopia:)	Есфирь 1:1 И было во дни Артаксеркса, --этот Артаксеркс царствовал над ста двадцатью семью областями от Индии и до Ефиопии, --
Esther 1:2 That in those days, when King Ahasuerus was ruling in Shushan, his strong town,	Есфирь 1:2 в то время, как царь Артаксеркс сел на царский престол свой, что в Сузах, городе престольном,
Esther 1:3 In the third year of his rule he gave a feast to all his captains and his servants; and the captains of the army of Persia and Media, the great men and the rulers of the divisions of his kingdom, were present before him;	Есфирь 1:3 в третий год своего царствования он сделал пир для всех князей своих и для служащих при нем, для главных начальников войска Персидского и Мидийского и для правителей областей своих,
Esther 1:4 And for a long time, even a hundred and eighty days, he let them see all the wealth and the glory of his kingdom and the great power and honour which were his.	Есфирь 1:4 показывая великое богатство царства своего и отличный блеск величия своего [в течение] многих дней, ста восьмидесяти дней.
Esther 1:5 And at the end of that time, the king gave a feast for all the people who were present in Shushan, the king's town, small as well as great, for seven days, in the outer square of the garden of the king's house.	Есфирь 1:5 По окончании сих дней, сделал царь для народа своего, находившегося в престольном городе Сузах, от большого до малого, пир семидневный на садовом дворе дома царского.
Esther 1:6 There were fair hangings of white and green and blue, fixed with cords of purple and the best linen to silver rings and pillars of polished stone: the seats were of gold and silver on a floor of red and white and yellow and black stone.	Есфирь 1:6 Белые, бумажные и яхонтового цвета шерстяные ткани, прикрепленные виссонными и пурпуровыми шнурами, [висели] на серебряных кольцах и мраморных столбах.
Esther 1:7 And they gave them drink in gold vessels, every vessel being different, and wine of the kingdom, freely given by the king.	Есфирь 1:7 Золотые и серебряные ложа [были] на помосте, устланном камнями зеленого цвета и мрамором, и перламутром, и камнями черного цвета.
Esther 1:8 And the drinking was in keeping with the law; no one was forced: for the king had given orders to all the chief servants of his house to do as was pleasing to every man.	Есфирь 1:8 Напитки подаваемы [были] в золотых сосудах и сосудах разнообразных, ценою в тридцать тысяч талантов; и вина царского было множество, по богатству царя. Питье [шло] чинно, никто не принуждал, потому что царь дал такое приказание всем управляющим в доме его, чтобы делали по воле каждого.
Esther 1:9 And Vashti the queen gave a feast for the women in the house of King Ahasuerus.	Есфирь 1:9 И царица Астинь сделала также пир для женщин в царском доме царя Артаксеркса.
Esther 1:10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was glad with wine, he gave orders to Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven unsexed servants who were waiting before Ahasuerus the king,	Есфирь 1:10 В седьмой день, когда развеселилось сердце царя от вина, он сказал Мегуману, Бизфе, Харбоне, Бигфе и Авагфе, Зефару и Каркасу--семи евнухам, служившим пред лицем царя Артаксеркса,
Esther 1:11 That Vashti the queen was to come before him, crowned with her crown, and let the people and the captains see her: for she was very beautiful.	Есфирь 1:11 чтобы они привели царицу Астинь пред лице царя в венце царском для того, чтобы показать народам и князьям красоту ее; потому что она была очень красива.
Esther 1:12 But when the servants gave her the king's order, Vashti the queen said she would not come: then the king was very angry, and his heart was burning with wrath.	Есфирь 1:12 Но царица Астинь не захотела прийти по приказанию царя, [объявленному] чрез евнухов.
Esther 1:13 And the king said to the wise men, who had knowledge of the times, (for this was the king's way with all who were expert in law and in the giving of decisions:	Есфирь 1:13 И разгневался царь сильно, и ярость его загорелась в нем. И сказал царь мудрецам, знающим [прежние] времена--ибо дела царя [делались] пред всеми знающими закон и права, --
Esther 1:14 And second only to him were Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven rulers of Persia and Media, who were friends of the king, and had the first places in the kingdom:)	Есфирь 1:14 приближенными же к нему [тогда были]: Каршена, Шефар, Адмафа, Фарсис, Мерес, Марсена, Мемухан--семь князей Персидских и Мидийских, которые могли видеть лице царя [и] сидели первыми в царстве:
Esther 1:15 What is to be done by law to Vashti the queen, because she has not done what King Ahasuerus, by his servants, gave her orders to do?	Есфирь 1:15 как поступить по закону с царицею Астинь за то, что она не сделала по слову царя Артаксеркса, [объявленному] чрез евнухов?
Esther 1:16 And before the king and the captains, Memucan gave his answer: Vashti the queen has done wrong, not only to the king, but to all the captains and to all the peoples in all the divisions of the kingdom of King Ahasuerus;	Есфирь 1:16 И сказал Мемухан пред лицем царя и князей: не пред царем одним виновна царица Астинь, а пред всеми князьями и пред всеми народами, которые по всем областям царя Артаксеркса;
Esther 1:17 For news of what the queen has done will come to the ears of all women, and they will no longer give respect to their husbands when it is said to them, King Ahasuerus gave orders for Vashti the queen to come before him and she came not.	Есфирь 1:17 потому что поступок царицы дойдет до всех жен, и они будут пренебрегать мужьями своими и говорить: царь Артаксеркс велел привести царицу Астинь пред лице свое, а она не пошла.
Esther 1:18 And the wives of the captains of Persia and Media, hearing what the queen has done, will say the same to all the king's captains. So there will be much shame and wrath.	Есфирь 1:18 Теперь княгини Персидские и Мидийские, которые услышат о поступке царицы, будут [то же] говорить всем князьям царя; и пренебрежения и огорчения будет довольно.
Esther 1:19 If it is pleasing to the king, let an order go out from him, and let it be recorded among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, so that it may never be changed, that Vashti is never again to come before King Ahasuerus; and let the king give her place to another who is better than she.	Есфирь 1:19 Если благоугодно царю, пусть выйдет от него царское постановление и впишется в законы Персидские и Мидийские и не отменяется, о том, что Астинь не будет входить пред лице царя Артаксеркса, а царское достоинство ее царь передаст другой, которая лучше ее.
Esther 1:20 And when this order, given by the king, is made public through all his kingdom (for it is great), all the wives will give honour to their husbands, great as well as small.	Есфирь 1:20 Когда услышат о сем постановлении царя, которое разойдется по всему царству его, как оно ни велико, тогда все жены будут почитать мужей своих, от большого до малого.
Esther 1:21 And this suggestion seemed good to the king and the captains; and the king did as Memucan said;	Есфирь 1:21 И угодно было слово сие в глазах царя и князей; и сделал царь по слову Мемухана.
Esther 1:22 And sent letters to all the divisions of the kingdom, to every division in the writing commonly used there, and to every people in the language which was theirs, saying that every man was to be the ruler in his house, and that this order was to be given out in the language of his people.	Есфирь 1:22 И послал во все области царя письма, писанные в каждую область письменами ее и к каждому народу на языке его, чтобы всякий муж был господином в доме своем, и чтобы это было объявлено каждому на природном языке его.
