Proverbs 25:1 These are more wise sayings of Solomon, copied out by the men of Hezekiah, king of Judah.	Притчи 25:1 И это притчи Соломона, которые собрали мужи Езекии, царя Иудейского.
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to keep a thing secret: but the glory of kings is to have it searched out.	Притчи 25:2 Слава Божия--облекать тайною дело, а слава царей--исследывать дело.
Proverbs 25:3 The heaven is high and the earth is deep, and the hearts of kings may not be searched out.	Притчи 25:3 Как небо в высоте и земля в глубине, так сердце царей--неисследимо.
Proverbs 25:4 Take away the waste from silver, and a vessel will come out for the silver-worker.	Притчи 25:4 Отдели примесь от серебра, и выйдет у серебряника сосуд:
Proverbs 25:5 Take away evil-doers from before the king, and the seat of his power will be made strong in righteousness.	Притчи 25:5 удали неправедного от царя, и престол его утвердится правдою.
Proverbs 25:6 Do not take glory for yourself before the king, and do not put yourself in the place of the great:	Притчи 25:6 Не величайся пред лицем царя, и на месте великих не становись;
Proverbs 25:7 For it is better to have it said to you, Come up here; than for you to be put down in a lower place before the ruler.	Притчи 25:7 потому что лучше, когда скажут тебе: `пойди сюда повыше`, нежели когда понизят тебя пред знатным, которого видели глаза твои.
Proverbs 25:8 Do not be quick to go to law about what you have seen, for what will you do in the end, when your neighbour has put you to shame?	Притчи 25:8 Не вступай поспешно в тяжбу: иначе что будешь делать при окончании, когда соперник твой осрамит тебя?
Proverbs 25:9 Have a talk with your neighbour himself about your cause, but do not give away the secret of another:	Притчи 25:9 Веди тяжбу с соперником твоим, но тайны другого не открывай,
Proverbs 25:10 Or your hearer may say evil of you, and your shame will not be turned away.	Притчи 25:10 дабы не укорил тебя услышавший это, и тогда бесчестие твое не отойдет от тебя.
Proverbs 25:11 A word at the right time is like apples of gold in a network of silver.	Притчи 25:11 Золотые яблоки в серебряных прозрачных сосудах--слово, сказанное прилично.
Proverbs 25:12 Like a nose-ring of gold and an ornament of the best gold, is a wise man who says sharp words to an ear ready to give attention.	Притчи 25:12 Золотая серьга и украшение из чистого золота--мудрый обличитель для внимательного уха.
Proverbs 25:13 As the cold of snow in the time of grain-cutting, so is a true servant to those who send him; for he gives new life to the soul of his master.	Притчи 25:13 Что прохлада от снега во время жатвы, то верный посол для посылающего его: он доставляет душе господина своего отраду.
Proverbs 25:14 As clouds and wind without rain, so is one who takes credit for an offering he has not given.	Притчи 25:14 Что тучи и ветры без дождя, то человек, хвастающий ложными подарками.
Proverbs 25:15 A judge is moved by one who for a long time undergoes wrongs without protest, and by a soft tongue even bone is broken.	Притчи 25:15 Кротостью склоняется к милости вельможа, и мягкий язык переламывает кость.
Proverbs 25:16 If you have honey, take only as much as is enough for you; for fear that, being full of it, you may not be able to keep it down.	Притчи 25:16 Нашел ты мед, --ешь, сколько тебе потребно, чтобы не пресытиться им и не изблевать его.
Proverbs 25:17 Let not your foot be frequently in your neighbour's house, or he may get tired of you, and his feeling be turned to hate.	Притчи 25:17 Не учащай входить в дом друга твоего, чтобы он не наскучил тобою и не возненавидел тебя.
Proverbs 25:18 One who gives false witness against his neighbour is a hammer and a sword and a sharp arrow.	Притчи 25:18 Что молот и меч и острая стрела, то человек, произносящий ложное свидетельство против ближнего своего.
Proverbs 25:19 Putting one's faith in a false man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth and a shaking foot.	Притчи 25:19 Что сломанный зуб и расслабленная нога, то надежда на ненадежного [человека] в день бедствия.
Proverbs 25:20 Like one who takes off clothing in cold weather and like acid on a wound, is he who makes melody to a sad heart.	Притчи 25:20 Что снимающий с себя одежду в холодный день, что уксус на рану, то поющий песни печальному сердцу.
Proverbs 25:21 If your hater is in need of food, give him bread; and if he is in need of drink, give him water:	Притчи 25:21 Если голоден враг твой, накорми его хлебом; и если он жаждет, напой его водою:
Proverbs 25:22 For so you will put coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will give you your reward.	Притчи 25:22 ибо, [делая сие], ты собираешь горящие угли на голову его, и Господь воздаст тебе.
Proverbs 25:23 As the north wind gives birth to rain, so is an angry face caused by a tongue saying evil secretly.	Притчи 25:23 Северный ветер производит дождь, а тайный язык--недовольные лица.
Proverbs 25:24 It is better to be living in an angle of the house-top, than with a bitter-tongued woman in a wide house.	Притчи 25:24 Лучше жить в углу на кровле, нежели со сварливою женою в пространном доме.
Proverbs 25:25 As cold water to a tired soul, so is good news from a far country.	Притчи 25:25 Что холодная вода для истомленной жаждой души, то добрая весть из дальней страны.
Proverbs 25:26 Like a troubled fountain and a dirty spring, is an upright man who has to give way before evil-doers.	Притчи 25:26 Что возмущенный источник и поврежденный родник, то праведник, падающий пред нечестивым.
Proverbs 25:27 It is not good to take much honey: so he who is not looking for honour will be honoured.	Притчи 25:27 Как нехорошо есть много меду, так домогаться славы не есть слава.
Proverbs 25:28 He whose spirit is uncontrolled is like an unwalled town which has been broken into.	Притчи 25:28 Что город разрушенный, без стен, то человек, не владеющий духом своим.
