Ephesians 5	Efesios 5
Ephesians 5:1 Let it then be your desire to be like God, as well-loved children;	Efesios 5:1 SED, pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados:
Ephesians 5:2 And be living in love, even as Christ had love for you, and gave himself up for us, an offering to God for a perfume of a sweet smell.	Efesios 5:2 Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó á sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio á Dios en olor suave.
Ephesians 5:3 But evil acts of the flesh and all unclean things, or desire for others' property, let it not even be named among you, as is right for saints;	Efesios 5:3 Pero fornicación y toda inmundicia, ó avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre vosotros, como conviene á santos;
Ephesians 5:4 And let there be no low behaviour, or foolish talk, or words said in sport, which are not right, but in place of them the giving of praise.	Efesios 5:4 Ni palabras torpes, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen; sino antes bien acciones de gracias.
Ephesians 5:5 Being certain of this, that no man who gives way to the passions of the flesh, no unclean person, or one who has desire for the property of others, or who gives worship to images, has any heritage in the kingdom of Christ and God.	Efesios 5:5 Porque sabéis esto, que ningún fornicario, ó inmundo, ó avaro, que es servidor de ídolos, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo y de Dios.
Ephesians 5:6 Do not be turned from the right way by foolish words; for because of these things the punishment of God comes on those who do not put themselves under him.	Efesios 5:6 Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas; porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia.
Ephesians 5:7 Have no part with such men;	Efesios 5:7 No seáis pues aparceros con ellos;
Ephesians 5:8 For you at one time were dark, but now are light in the Lord: let your behaviour be that of children of light	Efesios 5:8 Porque en otro tiempo erais tinieblas; mas ahora sois luz en el Señor: andad como hijos de luz,
Ephesians 5:9 (Because the fruit of the light is in all righteousness and in everything which is good and true),	Efesios 5:9 (Porque el fruto del Espíritu es en toda bondad, y justicia, y verdad;)
Ephesians 5:10 Testing by experience what is well-pleasing to the Lord;	Efesios 5:10 Aprobando lo que es agradable al Señor.
Ephesians 5:11 And have no company with the works of the dark, which give no fruit, but make their true quality clear;	Efesios 5:11 Y no comuniquéis con las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas; sino antes bien redargüidlas.
Ephesians 5:12 For the things which are done by them in secret it is shame even to put into words.	Efesios 5:12 Porque torpe cosa es aun hablar de lo que ellos hacen en oculto.
Ephesians 5:13 But all things, when their true quality is seen, are made clear by the light: because everything which is made clear is light.	Efesios 5:13 Mas todas las cosas cuando son redargüidas, son manifestadas por la luz; porque lo que manifiesta todo, la luz es.
Ephesians 5:14 For this reason he says, Be awake, you who are sleeping, and come up from among the dead, and Christ will be your light.	Efesios 5:14 Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, y levántate de los muertos, y te alumbrará Cristo.
Ephesians 5:15 Take care then how you are living, not as unwise, but as wise;	Efesios 5:15 Mirad, pues, cómo andéis avisadamente; no como necios, mas como sabios;
Ephesians 5:16 Making good use of the time, because the days are evil.	Efesios 5:16 Redimiendo el tiempo, porque los días son malos.
Ephesians 5:17 For this reason, then, do not be foolish, but be conscious of the Lord's pleasure.	Efesios 5:17 Por tanto, no seáis imprudentes, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor.
Ephesians 5:18 And do not take overmuch wine by which one may be overcome, but be full of the Spirit;	Efesios 5:18 Y no os embriaguéis de vino, en lo cual hay disolución; mas sed llenos de Espíritu;
Ephesians 5:19 Joining with one another in holy songs of praise and of the Spirit, using your voice in songs and making melody in your heart to the Lord;	Efesios 5:19 Hablando entre vosotros con salmos, y con himnos, y canciones espirituales, cantando y alabando al Señor en vuestros corazones;
Ephesians 5:20 Giving praise at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;	Efesios 5:20 Dando gracias siempre de todo al Dios y Padre en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:
Ephesians 5:21 Letting yourselves be ruled by one another in the fear of Christ.	Efesios 5:21 Sujetados los unos á los otros en el temor de Dios.
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, be under the authority of your husbands, as of the Lord.	Efesios 5:22 Las casadas estén sujetas á sus propios maridos, como al Señor.
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body.	Efesios 5:23 Porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia; y él es el que da la salud al cuerpo.
Ephesians 5:24 And as the church is under Christ's authority, so let wives be under the rule of their husbands in all things.	Efesios 5:24 Así que, como la iglesia está sujeta á Cristo, así también las casadas lo estén á sus maridos en todo.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, have love for your wives, even as Christ had love for the church, and gave himself for it;	Efesios 5:25 Maridos, amad á vuestras mujeres, así como Cristo amó á la iglesia, y se entregó á sí mismo por ella,
Ephesians 5:26 So that he might make it holy, having made it clean with the washing of water by the word,	Efesios 5:26 Para santificarla limpiándola en el lavacro del agua por la palabra,
Ephesians 5:27 And might take it for himself, a church full of glory, not having one mark or fold or any such thing; but that it might be holy and complete.	Efesios 5:27 Para presentársela gloriosa para sí, una iglesia que no tuviese mancha ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; sino que fuese santa y sin mancha.
Ephesians 5:28 Even so it is right for husbands to have love for their wives as for their bodies. He who has love for his wife has love for himself:	Efesios 5:28 Así también los maridos deben amar á sus mujeres como á sus mismos cuerpos. El que ama á su mujer, á sí mismo se ama.
Ephesians 5:29 For no man ever had hate for his flesh; but he gives it food and takes care of it, even as Christ does for the church;	Efesios 5:29 Porque ninguno aborreció jamás á su propia carne, antes la sustenta y regala, como también Cristo á la iglesia;
Ephesians 5:30 Because we are parts of his body.	Efesios 5:30 Porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne y de sus huesos.
Ephesians 5:31 For this cause will a man go away from his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.	Efesios 5:31 Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se allegará á su mujer, y serán dos en una carne.
Ephesians 5:32 This is a great secret: but my words are about Christ and the church.	Efesios 5:32 Este misterio grande es: mas yo digo esto con respecto á Cristo y á la iglesia.
Ephesians 5:33 But do you, everyone, have love for his wife, even as for himself; and let the wife see that she has respect for her husband.	Efesios 5:33 Cada uno empero de vosotros de por sí, ame también á su mujer como á sí mismo; y la mujer reverencie á su marido.
