James 5	Santiago 5
James 5:1 Come now, you men of wealth, give yourselves to weeping and crying because of the bitter troubles which are coming to you.	Santiago 5:1 EA ya ahora, oh ricos, llorad aullando por vuestras miserias que os vendrán.
James 5:2 Your wealth is unclean and insects have made holes in your clothing.	Santiago 5:2 Vuestras riquezas están podridas: vuestras ropas están comidas de polilla.
James 5:3 Your gold and your silver are wasted and their waste will be a witness against you, burning into your flesh. You have put by your store in the last days.	Santiago 5:3 Vuestro oro y plata están corrompidos de orín; y su orín os será testimonio, y comerá del todo vuestras carnes como fuego. Os habéis allegado tesoro para en los postreros días.
James 5:4 See, the money which you falsely kept back from the workers cutting the grass in your field, is crying out against you; and the cries of those who took in your grain have come to the ears of the Lord of armies.	Santiago 5:4 He aquí, el jornal de los obreros que han segado vuestras tierras, el cual por engaño no les ha sido pagado de vosotros, clama; y los clamores de los que habían segado, han entrado en los oídos del Señor de los ejércitos.
James 5:5 You have been living delicately on earth and have taken your pleasure; you have made your hearts fat for a day of destruction.	Santiago 5:5 Habéis vivido en deleites sobre la tierra, y sido disolutos; habéis cebado vuestros corazones como en el día de sacrificios.
James 5:6 You have given your decision against the upright man and have put him to death. He puts up no fight against you.	Santiago 5:6 Habéis condenado y muerto al justo; y él no os resiste.
James 5:7 Go on waiting calmly, my brothers, till the coming of the Lord, like the farmer waiting for the good fruit of the earth till the early and late rains have come.	Santiago 5:7 Pues, hermanos, tened paciencia hasta la venida del Señor. Mirad cómo el labrador espera el precioso fruto de la tierra, aguardando con paciencia, hasta que reciba la lluvia temprana y tardía.
James 5:8 Be as calm in your waiting; let your hearts be strong: because the coming of the Lord is near.	Santiago 5:8 Tened también vosotros paciencia; confirmad vuestros corazones: porque la venida del Señor se acerca.
James 5:9 Say no hard things against one another, brothers, so that you will not be judged; see, the judge is waiting at the doors.	Santiago 5:9 Hermanos, no os quejéis unos contra otros, porque no seáis condenados; he aquí, el juez está delante de la puerta.
James 5:10 Take as an example of pain nobly undergone and of strength in trouble, the prophets who gave to men the words of the Lord.	Santiago 5:10 Hermanos míos, tomad por ejemplo de aflicción y de paciencia, á los profetas que hablaron en nombre del Señor.
James 5:11 We say that those men who have gone through pain are happy: you have the story of Job and the troubles through which he went and have seen that the Lord was full of pity and mercy in the end.	Santiago 5:11 He aquí, tenemos por bienaventurados á los que sufren. Habéis oído la paciencia de Job, y habéis visto el fin del Señor, que el Señor es muy misericordioso y piadoso.
James 5:12 But most of all, my brothers, do not take oaths, not by the heaven, or by the earth, or by any other thing: but let your Yes be Yes, and your No be No: so that you may not be judged.	Santiago 5:12 Mas sobre todo, hermanos míos, no juréis, ni por el cielo, ni por la tierra, ni por otro cualquier juramento; sino vuestro sí sea sí, y vuestro no sea no; porque no caigáis en condenación.
James 5:13 Is anyone among you in trouble? let him say prayers. Is anyone glad? let him make a song of praise.	Santiago 5:13 ¿Está alguno entre vosotros afligido? haga oración. ¿Está alguno alegre? cante salmos.
James 5:14 Is anyone among you ill? let him send for the rulers of the church; and let them say prayers over him, putting oil on him in the name of the Lord.	Santiago 5:14 ¿Está alguno enfermo entre vosotros? llame á los ancianos de la iglesia, y oren por él, ungiéndole con aceite en el nombre del Señor.
James 5:15 And by the prayer of faith the man who is ill will be made well, and he will be lifted up by the Lord, and for any sin which he has done he will have forgiveness.	Santiago 5:15 Y la oración de fe salvará al enfermo, y el Señor lo levantará; y si estuviere en pecados, le serán perdonados.
James 5:16 So then, make a statement of your sins to one another, and say prayers for one another so that you may be made well. The prayer of a good man is full of power in its working.	Santiago 5:16 Confesaos vuestras faltas unos á otros, y rogad los unos por los otros, para que seáis sanos; la oración del justo, obrando eficazmente, puede mucho.
James 5:17 Elijah was a man of flesh and blood as we are, and he made a strong prayer that there might be no rain; and there was no rain on the earth for three years and six months.	Santiago 5:17 Elías era hombre sujeto á semejantes pasiones que nosotros, y rogó con oración que no lloviese, y no llovió sobre la tierra en tres años y seis meses.
James 5:18 And he made another prayer, and the heaven sent down rain and the earth gave her fruit.	Santiago 5:18 Y otra vez oró, y el cielo dió lluvia, y la tierra produjo su fruto.
James 5:19 My brothers, if one of you has gone out of the way of the true faith and another has made him see his error,	Santiago 5:19 Hermanos, si alguno de entre vosotros ha errado de la verdad, y alguno le convirtiere,
James 5:20 Be certain that he through whom a sinner has been turned from the error of his way, keeps a soul from death and is the cause of forgiveness for sins without number.	Santiago 5:20 Sepa que el que hubiere hecho convertir al pecador del error de su camino, salvará un alma de muerte, y cubrirá multitud de pecados.
